Amazon should ban the book.
One comment?
yeah the progs don’t believe in freedom. It’s not “I don’t like the book, so I won’t buy it”, it’s “I don’t like this book, so no one should publish it”
or “I don’t like your speech, so you can’t speak!”
4:57 my ass.
This is becoming a pattern.
It’s because Robby’s gone.

The Trumps funneled thousands in donations allegedly for St. Jude’s into the Trump Organization as revenue
I am shocked that a sleazy real estate developer is being accused of sleazy accounting practices.
I’m glad you asked it.
I’m more interested in the article a little further down about how Trump blocking people on Twitter is a First Amendment issue. I want to hear the legal scholars and their opinions behind this theory.
If there’s going to be an official twitter channel, it seems to me that being allowed to reply to the tweets falls under the right to petition clause.
Luckily, there are no official twitter channels. Just random accounts on a website that lets you send messages to friends.
I disagree.
Consider it like a press conference. You have to be invited, don’t get to ask questions. Same difference. Its not like he’s preventing you from reading his tweets. Though I don’t know why anyone bothers.
Also, while you have a right to petition the government, the government has the right to ignore you. You cannot FORCE somebody to listen to you.
…unless you’re a tranny and demand people pretend you’re a different sex.
But that’s more LIBERTARIAN MOMENT!!! stuff.
Wait, is reason in the tank for Trump now? I thought a bunch of people left because Reason was overly critical of Trump.

LOL at 10 comments. I guess the regulars just gave up waiting.
This is how bad it’s getting:
And those same ppl want their taxes cut and government out of their Medicare. I guess forlorn is still technically hope.
Setting party affiliation aside for a moment, my experience has been Team Red types are more willing to listen and disagree respectfully with people who have different ideas. I haven’t seen as many Team Red people jump instantly to if you’re on the wrong team you are literal maoist totalitarians. The trend among Team Blue devotees however seems to be that 100% of Team Red people are literal SA neo-nazi white supremacists. They usually have very good sources that prove this, such as articles on medium that repeat the same assertion that “X is an alt-right neo nazi” using several different wordings and zero display of evidence.

Same. I think this is because they generally believe there are numerous things more important than politics…i.e. being professional and courteous at work, getting along with family/friends, etc. Whereas Team Blue types are more likely to confuse politics with life itself. Great aunt Mildred disagrees with me? Then she disagrees with all that is good and right in the world, so she is to be treated like a Nazi pedophile.
On the other hand, if a Nazi pedophile agrees with me…well, he must not be so bad. They should make a sentimental biopic about him starring Sean Penn.

I think the Pew Trusts ran some studies which leaned to that conclusion.
“I haven’t seen as many Team Red people jump instantly to if you’re on the wrong team you are literal maoist totalitarians. ”
You clearly haven’t read the comment section at Breitbart.
That’s where Team Blue is right now. The remaining faithful who aren’t starting to doubt the party’s core (many clearly are) are so confident that where they are disagreed with they are in the right – and not just right, but astonishingly, colossally, obviously right – that they feel no need to present counter-arguments, only to dismiss those who disagree with them.
I predict that they will go through their dark night of the soul like so many 80s Republicans did, and the parties will re-organize, like they do every now and again.
Except they have a way deeper support network that might make it not necessary for them.
20-30 years ago the situation was pretty much the same as it is today.
If you were ‘team reddish’ in any way and you had friends that were ‘blue’ you kept them as friends by letting them spew and keeping your mouth shut.
t’s also because government has come to stick its fingers in so many pies that more and more, it’s a better use of time and resources to (try to) influence government than mind your own business. And government as we have it is a zero sum game; you can be sure that if your competitor or even some other special interest group gets zoning changed to their benefit, it won’t be to yours. Look at Obamacare as a gross example: as unfree market as it used to be, health care insurance at least had some choices, by employer if nothing else. Now it’s been constricted a lot, and if teh single payer fans get their way, it will be even worse. So you better get birth control covered for everybody, including 80 year old males, lest somebody else grab the spotlight with their inclusion of 26 year old descendants as family members.
It makes cooperation with anyone else a political non-starter. You can bet that if Dems started to get their way, they will be eating each other over the petty differences which weren’t even on the radar when the others were Republicans.

The article alludes to that– at least in the local political sphere. The left has gotten 197% of everything it wants, and so as they noted, city council meetings have devolved into a bunch of left-wing lunatics screaming at other left-wing lunatics that they’re not left-wing enough.
This trend started about 15 years ago when The Stranger noted in a local political race (and I’m paraphrasing– but not much) that ‘only in Seattle can an affirmative action-supporting liberal Democrat be accused of being a right-wing reactionary racist.’
I actually consider affirmative action-supporting liberal Democrats “reactionary racists”. For real. Not right-wing though.

I’ve made this very point to Tony and other progs; don’t lament the “loss of civility” when your political tribe has been front and center since the 1960s in branding anyone who disagrees with you as a fascist. For these people, it’s forever 1933 and everyone to the right of them are varying degrees of Hitler.
Yup. For a long time, it was Lefties think the Right is evil and the Right thinks Lefties are just misguided and stupid.
The Right NOW views the Left as irredeemably evil. They will suppress your rights under the guise of “equality” and never even recognize how fascist they are. It’s to the point where I will no longer vote against Lindsay Graham, who is a useless fuckwit, because the Democrat — without fail — will be worse.
It also allows the Republicans to just jettison everything they’ve campaigned for for the last few years because, whether I like it or not, the Democrats are still going to be exponentially worse. I’d prefer an inept lazy buffoon over a hyper-active moral busybody.
To paraphrase Ann Coulter, I prefer muggers to politicians because muggers don’t expect you to thank them for robbing you and spending your money.
I have seen the land beyond!
Cascadia can’t come soon enough.
And I’ll see it from my office and think, “this is God telling me my masturbation was unwanted.” My final thoughts.
And conservatives aren’t going to not offer their services, even though they should.
Because I’d love to see the utopia of Progressive cities when you would get gender studies grads trying to be electricians and failing.
It’s quite sad that Progressives have so thoroughly confused “credentials” for “intelligence”, which “allows” them to look down on their lessers. Because, truthfully, an electrician or plumber has mounds more practical knowledge than 90% of college grads today.

No word yet on the motive…
Gov. Jerry Brown sits down with Chinese President Xi Jinping to talk climate.
Trump pulls the US out of a symbolic/rhetorical/illegal “agreement” and now the Chinese are the ones with whom to discuss enviro protection. Seems legit.
This marks the first leak prosecution of the Trump administration.
At least illiberals and regressives get to be pro-leak and anti-war again.

Everything looked like a nail.
