FBI Reopens Investigation on Clinton's Private Email Server (UPDATE: Connections to Anthony Weiner)
Turns out there's still time for October surprises.

It's both a Friday news dump and an October surprise! FBI Director James Comey sent a letter to several members of the House today letting them know that the agency was reopening its investigation into Hillary Clinton's use of a private server to store emails related to her work as Secretary of State.
When Comey ended his investigation—over whether Clinton and her staff mishandled classified information—he determined that she had been being extremely careless with data but decided not to recommend charges, and the Justice Department agreed.
Today the situation has changed, but it's way too soon and Comey's being way too close-lipped to determine what is happening. The letter reads:
In connection with an unrelated case, the FBI has learned of the existence of emails that may be pertinent to the investigation. I am writing to inform you that the investigative team briefed me on this yesterday, and I agreed that the FBI should take appropriate investigative steps designed to allow the investigators to review these emails to determine whether they contain classified information, as well as to assess their importance to our investigation.
Comey concludes he doesn't know yet whether any of this information is significant and doesn't know how long it will take to find out. Check out the letter for yourself after the jump.
UPDATE: While still being very cagey with explanations, apparently the investigation is also not connected to the Wikileaks email releases. And some people have decided to take the "work the ref" angle by insisting that the investigation hasn't been "reopened"? Why? Because it was never formally closed, which is kind of a weird argument. From the Washington Post:
A law enforcement official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the emails were "numerous" and said they are not related to hacks of recent Democratic party institutions or the emails that have been released in recent days by the anti-secrecy group WikiLeaks.
The official said once informed of the find, Comey felt an obligation to inform Congress, since he had previously told lawmakers the investigation had been completed. As a technical matter, however, the Clinton investigation was never formally closed, the official said.
UPDATE II: According to The New York Times, the new emails they're analyzing were on devices belonging to Huma Abedin and Anthony Weiner.
Jacob Sullum has noted that how Clinton has responded to this scandal has reinforced her reputation for dishonesty. And check out ReasonTV's hilarious-yet-horrifying supertake of misleading statements by Clinton:

Regarding Clinton's dishonesty...
The NYT has a fawning "Young Hillary" article up about a road trip to see Bill in Arkansas with her landlord. There is even a pic of young Hillary's legs for Crusty. The pic is hilariously cropped, which makes me wonder who was next to Bill. Anyways, in the article, which I read out of morbid curiosity while dry heaving, the landlord says that young Hillary was messy and didn't make her bed. This is followed by a statement that Hillary denied these allegations. That cracked me up. So typical and poignant.
that's incredible. please link to this so i can save for posterity
Flunkies in the press doing their fawning, servile, ludicrous best to reframe this as a modern-day Camelot love story.
Just like John & Jackie! Star-crossed political idealists...but with more deep-fried Southern deception and a more folksy history of sexual assaults!
The Democrats have been trying to select JFK off and on since he achieved room temperature. They keep fixating on people with good teeth and nice hair who have a small fraction of the Kennedy charm and an even smaller fraction of his native smarts. Bubba Clinton and John (Lurch's cousin who went to Choate) Kerry are prime examples.
Hillary resembles Jackie about as much as Leo McKern resembled Heddy Lamar.
Hey now! Leo McKern was one sexy, sexy man.
True. But he hardly resembled Lamar in the slightest.
With hypnotic man boobs like those, who would notice?
Um, those were his third and fourth chins.
That makes it hotter.
That's HEADLEY!
Teh google is your friend, Gilmore. Hier.
NB: I haven't read this.
how the hell do they know this if she declined to be interviewed for the article?
I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY EXCEPT I MADE THAT FUCKING BED
Does it really matter, anymore?
There is even a pic of young Hillary's legs for Crusty.
Up to the neck, young Hillary is pretty reasonable to look at.
Really?
Sure. What's wrong with that? I didn't say she was anything too remarkable.
It was more of a "Hmmm" than an attempt at snark. No offense intended.
Nowhere near hot enough to rate "honey, don't spoil it by talking." So, no thanks.
"The pic is hilariously cropped, which makes me wonder who was next to Bill."
My attempts to reverse Google Image search turn up nothing, which makes me suspect it's merely a shitty photographer and not a crop.

She's looking away because she just realized why he cut a hole in that ball.
This interesting, as I've noticed a pretty significant effort by the local leftwing rag to improve her appearance--using a drawing of her that looks much younger and better for her endorsement, using a number of old pictures, etc. That's fine for the campaign, I guess, but it's pathetic for a newspaper.
Reason has (had?) the same trope - every picture of Trump is an ugly candid, most pix of Hillary relatively good, including a number from years ago.
Well, Reason IS working round the clock to get her elected.
I chuckled at the "after she finished working for the Watergate committee," since she was fired for unethical behavior.
Why has no one ever dug deep into her firing from that committee? A friend of mine who also posts here has wondered about that one too.
Well that should be easy to answer. All one would need to do is find a disenchanted former associate or business partner that is ready to dish up the dirt. Arkansas must be chock full them. The problem seems to be that although they are easy enough to find, there is likely to be digging involved if you want to actually see any of them. And any conversation you have with them is certain to be as uninformative as it is one sided.
They didn't do anything because the boss who got rid of her died some time ago and he didn't mention it until so long after the trial that it really was old news.
I was thinking more on the lines of other curious statistical anomalies that populate the Clintonverse. Such the Mount-Fucking-Everest of them that is ex-partners in crime and others that thought they wanted to dish up the dirt on them and ended pushing up daisies before they could actually get around to it.
She also didn't "throw her career away" by leaving DC, she didn't have much of a choice: she had failed the bar exam.
"Most qualified president ever! With hotsauce in her purse!"
the landlord says that young Hillary was messy and didn't make her bed.
There was an article in the Daily Fail about one of Bill's long-time mistresses bagging on Hillary for her greasy hair and nasty body odor during the 70s--apparently this is the one that he termed Hillary as "the Warden" and complained to about the fact that he needed to knock her up because apparently even back then it was rumored that Hillary was a muff-diver in a marriage of convenience. It was hilarious in its sheer bitchiness.
Part of what sank Bill when he first ran for reelection in Arkansas was that nobody liked Hillary - they had to get her to start shaving, washing her hair, using 'Clinton' instead of 'Rodham' as a last name and acting like less of a yankee slob before he got back into office.
It's sad when a grown woman in her 20's has to be scolded into washing her asshole and vagina. I shudder to think of the vile odor Hildebeast gave off.
Wait, what? Why should it be Hillary's job to wash Bill?
-jcr
Well I'm not doing it.
CORRECT THE RECORD!
Why won't reason cover this!
They waited until a Friday afternoon to report it.
On the serious side, that may be why the FBI announced it today - the end of week burial ground. They just dropped it too early in the day to avoid general notice.
Normal news cycle timelines are out the window less than a month before a presidential election.
My proof will be the wall to wall coverage the next bimbo that Allred trots out tonight to accuse Trump of some bullshit claim from 25 years ago.
The number of Friday or holiday weekend announcements with bad news related to the Clinton campaign has been quite the coincidence this season
Stupid lefty SJW cosmotarians. But you already knew that, didn't you?
Maybe they suddenly realized that a Trump presidency means they can actually do their jobs with their heads held high. Its not like he is going to give us a dearth of material.
Also, he might sue them, but he probably won't have them murdered.
A public figure suing a journalist for libeling him? But what about the first amendment?
-Reason staff
It might be nice for them to be right once in a row on that argument.
Did Santa come early this year, or is this just a fake-out before the Nut-Punch Fatality?
It reached the point where even reason couldn't completely ignore it.
It's like when you leave the basement door open to let your rape slave think he can get out, only to be waiting with a taser outside.
I didn't know your rape slave was male
That's what the individual identified as...
Don't other Crusty
Crusty is too different to be effectively othered.
Variety is the spice of life.
Variety is also the spice of wife, if you know what I mean.
Women mentally check out too quickly. Men always fight to the bitter end and I've heard Hipster likes fighters.
This guy gets it.^^
^Tasers the lot of ye.
Duct tape the tazer to the end of a baseball bat.
Just trust me.
Comey just wants to keep his job.
If he didn't charge her for the several hundred other felonies, what difference, at this point, does it make?
Or he knows he's going to lose his job and figures he may as well go down swinging.
Trump just gave a speech in response to the news. He dropped this: "The FBI decided to fix their mistake."
I think that was pretty specific indication that Comey may not lose his job after all.
He should lose his job, but I'm pragmatic enough to accept the idea of retajning him to keep Cuntlery out of the White House. Also, it would make him more compliant to go after most of the Obama administration over the next four years. It could end up being an opportunity to destroy a lot of progressives and improve America.
I hope so.
Is it possible that Assange really does have something irrefutable and that Comey has been made aware of it? Is he hedging as a way of getting out from under something that will absolutely crush him if he makes the wrong move?
What did Clinton promise him? What was Loretta Lynch promised? Have any promises been rescinded, or does he fear that one might be and this is just a dangerous game of mutually assured destruction he's playing with the Clintons?
Something is up, but I'm at a loss for what. Maybe this is just a simple hedging strategy to keep his job in the event that Trump is elected and he really does make good on his threat to put Hillary behind bars. That seems particularly likely for a groveling turd like Comey.
That's "Justice Lynch," to you!
Plausible. Think about it this way: any Clinton pick to fill the Supreme Court vacancy is going to be younger than the average choice. They need someone in who can create a lengthy Clinton legacy even if she'd ousted in 2020.
The Senate is still going to have to confirm, but the Clintons have been playing the game for long enough. They've got dirt on most of them, bags of cash for the ones they can buy, and a knife under the pillow ready to end the careers of enough of the rest.
Besides, it's not like the hasn't already promised to abuse the executive order against the 2nd Amendment and probably anything else she hates. I could see her fucking the Supreme Court with exactly the Lynchpin she needs to make unconstitutional orders stick for eternity.
Probably simpler than that, just internal FBI people fed up with suddenly being ashamed to say where they work.
Probably anonymously mailed Comey incriminating internal documents showing how Comey purposely sabotaged the investigation. With a little note saying fix this or these go public.
Comey reopens the investigation. A month from now Obama pardons Hillary. Comey closes the investigation.
She was not going to President anyway. A second FBI investigation is just the guarantee that Hillary will lose.
Obama will pardon Hillary but her political career will be over. Bonus, is that Chelsea will never have a political career because her Dad was almost impeached out of office and her mother was a pardoned criminal. Since, Chelsea was involved in dealings with her Dad and Mother, she is toast too.
Good riddance!
What did Clinton promise him? What was Loretta Lynch promised? Have any promises been rescinded, or does he fear that one might be and this is just a dangerous game of mutually assured destruction he's playing with the Clintons?
Always wondered what Bernie Sanders was promised that got him to sell out so thoroughly, and stay sold-out for the duration. My guess is HHS Secretary.
I think Sanders is exactly what he appears to be: a True Believer?. I don't think he was promised anything.
Any such person never knows if he's the one who gets to use the useful idiots or the useful idiot himself. As such, Socialists have toed the line and waited patiently until The One will come and sweep them into power. Hillary will creep them along a bit more than Trump and that's good enough for them.
Just like poker. If you don't know who the sucker is, it's you.
James Comey received money linked to the Clinton Foundation when he worked as VP for Lockheed Martin.
James Comey's brother Peter Comey works for the law firm that represents the Clinton Foundation.
So there has to be a lot of CYA going on right now. I think he needs to be relieved from this case, due to conflict of interest.
Of course when it is too late to matter, right? Besides, they will find no problem again, and if they do, Obama will pardon her. She would take him down with her, and he doesn't ant that.
Especially now that we've had confirmation that the SOB was lying about knowing of her private server.
You know who else was investigated too late?
Dahmer?
Marie Curie?
Richard III?
Benedict Arnold?
Jack Ruby?
Jango Fett?
Emperor Palpatine?
Donald should be a comedian.
I thought he was. Are you seriously trying to tell me he's actually running for president?
Actually? All along.
Seriously? That I've doubted from day one.
The check from Clinton Inc. bounced?
Perhaps some of the people at the FBI complained at being part of a whitewash?
Perhaps Comey wants to retain the option of jumping either way, depending on who gets elected?
Attorney General Lynch better make sure her grandchildren are in protective custody, Her and Slick Dick or whatever his cute nickname is had a deal.
Donald Trump has opined:
*TRUMP SAYS HE NOW HAS `GREAT RESPECT' FOR FBI, DOJ
*TRUMP ON FBI NEWS: `PERHAPS FINALLY JUSTICE WILL BE DONE'
*TRUMP: FBI WILL RIGHT THE SHIP
*TRUMP SAYS FBI NEWS SHOWS SYSTEM MAY NOT BE `RIGGED'

Are we not fibbies?
Jail Hillary ahead of schedule and under budget.
Internal polling says Trump is going to win?
Hmmm...wonder if the Obama administration saw that Republicans are turning out in record numbers for early voting in Florida and realized that Clinton's campaign is in serious trouble. Because if Clinton loses and President Trump decides to re-open those investigations with a brand new FBI Director and a lot of pissed-off agents, who knows what else they'll find? Or how inclined they'll be to go after Obama and everyone in the administration who covered for her incompetent wrinkled ass.
Obama can pardon himself on Jan 19.
Can Obama make a crime so big that he would not be able to pardon it?
The President can pardon any crime. He can't pardon himself, however, nor can he pardon someone to get them out of impeachment proceedings.
Resign and get Joe to pardon him o/a 18 Jan?
In the case of a new Democratic majority in the Senate, he'll drop Merrick Garland and nominate himself for the Supreme Court. Upon being approved post-January 4, he resigns the Presidency to take up the seat on the bench while President Biden pardons him! #FourthDimensionalChess
The President can pardon any crime. He can't pardon himself, however, nor can he pardon someone to get them out of impeachment proceedings.
Everything I see from quick google search says a President can pardon himself.
President can pardon anyone - but they have to be in legal jeopardy first.
For Obama to pardon himself, he would first have to charge himself. How big the indictment in such a scenario must be for the pardon to cover all the bases? We're talking ACA-sized phonebook.
didn't Ford pardon Nixon from anything even though he hadn't been charged?
didn't Ford pardon Nixon from anything even though he hadn't been charged?
All charges were outlined in the impeachment to be voted on, and Ford pardoned Nixon from those items. Since there was never a vote, only recommendation from committee, Ford had constitutional aperture to put pardon through.
well that settles that.
Can he promise them a rose garden?
Along with the sunshine, there's gotta be a little rain sometime.
Obama can't pardon himself. Presidential pardons also cannot immunize someone from impeachment. Nor can they immunize against future crimes (and I'm willing to bet the Clintons haven't shut down all of their criminal enterprises).
Basically Obama couldn't write a pardon broad enough to cover the Clintons' fuckery. And unless she wins, Obama doesn't get protected from investigations into his behavior by Trump. I think that someone just got thrown under the bus to protect the God King. 🙂
Obama can't pardon himself.
I want to believe you, but, ...
[citation needed]
/off to check Constitution myself
What I see is:
he shall have power to grant reprieves and pardons for offenses against the United States, except in cases of impeachment.
So he can criminally reprieve/pardon himself, but can't stop himself from being impeached.
Isn't the president also generally immune from criminal charges while in office? Or is that just some kind of "professional courtesy".
No.
Clinton tried to argue that during during the Paula Jones discovery, but the court ruled against him, that his "important work that he was not to be distracted from" wasn't important enough to push aside even a civil lawsuit.
I thought he had to face charges because the crime occurred before he was in office. Once in office he has limited immunity.
/off to check Constitution myself
LOL, you think Obama gives a fuck about whether the Constitution allows it?
^^^THIS^^^
He is a constitutional scholar after all, and that means it says whatever he wants it to.
Obama only every taught the 14th Amendment. How to use it to sue people for alleged disparate treatment.
Anyone can do whatever they can get away with. But that does happen to be the law, whatever that's worth.
/off to check Constitution myself
Okay, that one made me laugh.
Wait. You were serious?
Oh, no. No, no, no. Just. NO. The Constitution has nothing whatsoever to do with whether or not something is Constitutional, you extremely silly person.
Couldn't he pardon himself and Clinton for "any and all charges related to the private email server"?
Couldn't he pardon himself and Clinton for "any and all charges related to the private email server"?
Why limit it? He's got a phone and a pen.
How could they? They have their dynasty to consider, even if Chelsea isn't what they must have hoped they could make her. Also, there's still a chance that Hillary loses this thing and they're going to need a boatload of cash to make another run at it.
Even if she is elected, someone must dethrone her in a "Hindsight is 2020" campaign. Four years from now, one can only hope that America wakes up and realizes what has been done to them and what they have done to themselves.
They have their dynasty to consider, even if Chelsea isn't what they must have hoped they could make her.
According to the Podesta leaks, apparently the Foundation was being run like crap and Chelsea was brought in to clean up operations. Think about that--a woman who's shown no talent for anything other than being a former First Kid is tabbed to clean up a dysfunctional graft machine.
You've got to start at the bottom and show that you've got the chops for it, even as the boss's kid, in any crime family. They'll find another heir to the dynasty elsewhere if they absolutely must, but they've not given up on Chelsea just yet.
"They'll find another heir to the dynasty elsewhere if they absolutely must"
That explains the recent Clintons son stories.
I got the impression that Chelsea took a look around and said, "Holy shit are you guys careless! You're gonna get Mom and Dad in a lot of trouble!" and the Doug Band said, "You're just an entitled rich kid, STFU"
Dysfunctional? The Clintons made $100m+ personally, distributed billions of dollars through the Clinton Foundation to their buddies, and are probably responsible for a few trillion of dollars of crony capitalist federal spending. Seems like a pretty functional graft machine to me.
Of course not. They have already announced the foundation will be on for business after she wins.
Shutting it down would be an admission of wrongdoing.
We might be hoping for a Hindsight is 2020 effort to dethrone Trump.
Might be. It's not over until the Cankled lady sings.
SHe'llhnever sing she'll deny everything to the end.
Null hypothesis: The FBI will play this straight and if they find anything criminal, they will forward it to the justice department for prosecution.
Anti-Trump Hypothesis: The FBI will wait until Trump is committed to a hyperbolic claim and then come to a conclusion that both clears Hillary and makes Trump look like a jackass.
Anti-Hillary Hypothesis: The FBI will rapidly come to the conclusion that the new emails show criminal intent and brief everyone in time to torpedo her in the election.
Anti-both-nominee Hypothosis: The FBI will wait until after the election (and Hillary's victory) to reveal evidence that ensures a challenge to the electoral college vote and guarantees impeachment.
Redeem-FBI-honor Hypotheis: see anti-Hillary Hypothesis
that's all I can come up with for now.
he FBI will wait until after the election (and Hillary's victory) to reveal evidence that ensures a challenge to the electoral college vote and guarantees impeachment.
If it is between the election and the EC vote, EC electors who arent bound by law can vote however they want. An if Clinton were obviously going down, those states might let them off the hook.
So, President Kaine or President Biden?
In fact, that might be the anti-Kaine Hypothesis. As Kaine would be President after impeachment and removal, then this is an anti-Kaine position, as it allows for someone else to be selected over him.
I kind of hope its Biden, so that when my kids whine about not being smart enough, I can point to the Biden Presidency and tell them that any idiot with lots of want-to and no conscience can become the President in this great nation. Also, I expect that the Onion will be killing it.
Did the Onion go full SJW with new owner or something?
The new owner is a major Clinton donor?
Plus, even though ol' Joe will get a pass for a lot of his fuckery from the MSM, it'll be okay/not racist or sexist to make fun of the president again.
The anti-trump hypothesis wouldn't work. Trump's supporters would just conclude that the whole investigation was fixed, and they would probably be correct.
The scenario that was running in my mind was this:
They could leak word that the emails showed Hillary outing the names of spies to the Kremlin. This would of course be immediately leaked to the general public.
And then they reveal the emails were replies to other emails already in their possession and did not constitute anything new; it just wasn't apparent in the initial reviews.
It would close the minds of Hillary supporters that are getting pretty demoralized thanks to wikileaks.
It's a scenario, anyway. I'm brainstorming. Leave me alone!
They could leak word that the emails showed Hillary outing the names of spies to the Kremlin
I don't think even she is that bad.
If she was putting code word classified information that allowed adversaries to ID U.S. spies or saboteurs overseas on her effectively unsecured email server, then she is that bad.
Code word stuff is serious shit, I mean really serious shit.
Actually, the level of codewords (or, more actually, Secure Compartmentalized Information) that Comey said she compromised really is serious shit. As Secretary of State she had access to things like knowing our CIA chiefs of station and agents at our embassies. It's not going to be that hard for a hostile foreign government (e.g. Russia) to identify spies if they knew who the agents in our embassies were and tracked their people's interactions with them. And that's assuming she didn't just blab about them herself in those emails she deleted from her unsecure server. She was conducting all of her government business via that server, after all.
Valerie Plame.
"Code word stuff is serious shit, I mean really serious shit."
The vag bleeds at midnight. Shhhhhh!
Never trust anything that bleeds for a weeks and does not die.
No? See Mr. Shahram Amiri's story and tell me she isnt that bad.
If she let our ambassador at Benghazi die to avoid stirring the pot ahead of Obama's re-election, she would think nothing of getting some assets in Russia killed.
I'm thinking they wanted to look at Weiner's mobile devices, saw that he had shared use of some of them with Huma, and her's had many new emails from Hillary that were previously hidden and had some bad shit in them.
Exactly
Weiner probe.
I'm curious to now how many of them were part of the 'deleted' chains.
The anti-trump hypothesis wouldn't work. Trump's supporters would just conclude that the whole investigation was fixed, and they would probably be correct.
The squirrels have rigged the Hit N Run comment system, too.
We need a squirrel hypothesis.
The post originally had one, but somehow after clicking submit...
The Gonads and Strife hypothesis.
Weee!
I thought that was the (Bill) Clinton hypothesis?
http://scarysquirrel.org/
I'm favoring the "Hail Mary pass for redemption" narrative because their reputation landed in the crapper and there's a lot of discontent over the matter both inside the organization and out.
But that's my read on it. I could be wrong.
The FBI could announce that its found a grave site with 1000 bodies of bloodless orphans all bearing bite marks matching Clinton's dental records, and it would still make no difference to most voters.
But would it matter if they found her handprints on all their motherfucking legs?
Anti-Trump Hypothesis: The FBI will wait until Trump is committed to a hyperbolic claim and then come to a conclusion that both clears Hillary and makes Trump look like a jackass.
Anti-Trump (pro-Hillary) Hypothesis #2: Comey has noticed a critical mass of his employees who are about ready to go rogue; if they do so, they would start telling everyone who will listen just HOW rigged the investigation actually was. Comey is 'reopening' the investigation to create the appearance of fairness to shut them up until after the election.
Anti-both-nominee Hypothosis: The FBI will wait until after the election (and Hillary's victory) to reveal evidence that ensures a challenge to the electoral college vote and guarantees impeachment.
That won't work because there is no way that a Senate with 48 Democrats will vote to convict 'the smartest woman in the world'. (barf) At best, you'll have a typical Clinton cluster-fuck.
Hypothesis: Comey wanted to charge Hillary, but Obama the AG wouldn't let him. He didn't resign in order to catch some of the flack for himself that might have gone to subordinates, but now with two weeks to go is throwing a Hail Mary hand grenade into the crowd.
He could have done the correct thing and pass the recommendation along to the AG and let her deny charging Hillary. His integrity is intact and Obama would ask him to resign.
Hillary would be dust because the FBI recommended charges and the AG refused.
Now, Trump is definitely going to win. Comey is out. Lynch is obviously out. Obama pardons Hillary. Hillary is done forever in politics.
I will go with a mix of Anti-both and Redeem-FBI. I think this make the race closer but I still think Hillary will win. There is no possible way that the FBI can reopen an investigation and be done in less than 2 weeks. But once the election is over and Trump has lost, then the FBI and Justice department can go after her. The FBI and Justice department will be redeemed and neither Trump nor Clinton (at least not for very long) will be President.
Huh. October surprise and yet more grounds for impeachment if Clinton wins.
Oh no, I've already voted - can I change my mind? Just kidding, I voted Johnson in a very blue state.
can I change my mind?
Yes and, depending on the blue state, you just change the vote of a couple dead people to make up for your mistake.
This time they'll get 'er fer sher.
Jill Stein approves this message.
Wow Clinton must have really pissed off someone at the FBI for them to reopen this right before the election. I guess you can only step on people for so long before it catches up to you.
Right? That's the first thing I thought. There must have been a quid pro quo that didn't manifest to Comey's liking. The timing on this is too damn suspect.
OT, but apparently Politico is reporting that Biden is under consideration for Secretary of State. So we have that to look forward to.
Hell, I'd favor Biden for Sec. of State under Trump, just for the lulz.
"Joe, you sniff'em out and I'll grab'em!"
Or how about a hilarious montage of Joe and Trump chasing cats.
Joe has grabbed some pussy in his day.
We need his double barrel shotgun in the middle east.
Hmm.. who can he shoot in the face?
Because John Kerry was *too competent*
Our allies will immediately break off diplomatic ties with the US.
Looking at that memo, it seems that everybody has a better signature than me.
Politicians practice that crap from high school on.
This one is too illegible.
This one makes me look too self-important.
Ah yes, this one communicates just the right amount of down-to-earthedness and gravitas.
That kind of signature gets you disqualified on a petition to be on the ballot in PA.
I feel bad for Huma. Hillary's going to be so pissed this weekend.
*lights Sugarfree signal*
"This weekend you're wearing the gimp suit, sweetie."
Trump mask and a strap-on?
"Grab em by the pussy."
*moves fingers on head of gimp and asks whose bike is this? or is that a chopper?
"unrelated case" huh.
The Russian hacking of John Podesta is "un-related" to Hillary's private email server.
Is it really hacking if you give someone your email address and password in an email?
It wasn't my fault! Really!
Or just access your email with a plaintext password on a network they're sniffing...I used to show people how easy it was to get their email password off the network. Most clients/servers are better these days, but an amateur-run mail server could very well have big holes in its security.
Logging into someone else's accounts is illegal.

Clinton's dishonesty and malfeasance doesn't bother her supporters; all they want is someone to give them the policies they support. If they'd wanted an honest candidate they would have nominated one. (Same with the Trumpets: they know he's an asshole, they just don't care.) This won't change a thing.
This is all about the undecideds. The next few weeks should be epic. Can Hillary or Trump be hated more. SMOD may beat Johnson's 5%.
I'm rooting for Skynet to go active and deliver us all into slavery.
Personally, a plasma blast to the chest is looking more enticing every day.
Actually Skynet is predicting a Trump win!

Yep, this is for the 20% of white, blue collar guys who used to work in factories and voted for Reagan and Bill but who are still undecided.
It's not that Trump supporters don't care that Trump is an asshole. Trump supporters wanted someone that was a real asshole, they were sick and tired of milquetoast candidates like Romney who wee too afraid of what people thought of them to fight back when the Dems called them racists and sexists, etc.
The candidate the Dems themselves summoned.
This has been my thinking for some time now.
They wanted a fighter. There are not many famous political fighters willing to go against Queen Hillary.
Enter Trump!
Some say that every desperate moment in American history came a leader who could help.
Trump can help somewhat. He is going to stop Hillary. Trump will be checked by Congress, the SCOTUS and the media, so crazy shit is not going to happen. Trump might actually shrink some parts of government. He might get government out of the way and let businessmen get us out of the Great Recession.
All together now: "What Difference At This Point Does It Make?"
In connection with an unrelated case
?????
That's...interesting. I wonder what unrelated case would tie into this. It would have to either be Clinton Foundation (which seems related to me, but maybe technically isn't) or...investigating whether Russia is behind the recent email hacks? How funny would it be if the Clinton campaign's Russian hack talking point came back to bite them in the ass.
Hillary Clinton Email Scandal: Kim Dotcom Says Deleted Mails Can Be Recovered
That's right... Kim Dot-fucking-Com might have just out October-surprised Wikileaks.
I don't know what that is, so I will assume pr0n.
**shudder**
Now I'm really curious
here ya go
Talk about manspreading...
Pimping ain't easy!
Kim Dotcom is the name of a guy who started and runs one of the largest webhosting/email businesses in the world. He ran afoul of the FBI himself a few years back for not cooperating or something. He's giving the government a good kicking right now.
I'd prefer Kim Komando, myself, like that would ever happen.
When you delete an email in Exchange, it doesn't delete the email? it deletes the pointer to it and leaves the space allocated in the EDB file to be overwritten by future emails. To delete the emails and reclaim that space, you have to get another drive, take Exchange offline, run eseutil to dump the database to the other drive and then copy it back over the original.
I doubt stonetear was smart enough to do that before handing the server over to the FBI if he had to ask Reddit about deleting emails.
That's what the Bleach bit was for. And Comey's destruction of the actual laptps. And Hillary's destruction of multipleBlackberries.
BleachBit isn't Exchange aware. You still have to run eseutil to clean up remove the emails from the EDB files (even better, run an Exchange Page Zeroing operation to clean the free space in the EDB file up) and then run BleachBit to wipe the free space that was left behind in case of some of the deleted emails were left in the newly free space on the disk.
Plus you'd have to run BleachBit on the temp drive where you dump the temporary EDB file before copying it over the original.
But she wiped it with a cloth.
To be fair, stone tear wasn't asking reddit how to delete emails, to my knowledge. He was asking how to strip contact info from the address line of emails. IOW he wanted the emails, if eventually uncovered, to show no record of who they were sent to/from. Which is both far more technically complex and far more deceitful and illegal
That's...interesting. I wonder what unrelated case would tie into this.
Interesting that it's not a *previously* unrelated case.
I don't think these people know how grammar works...another case having a connection to this one makes it related by definition.
Or they're exceedingly transparent and the... you know... "unrelated" stuff... needs further "investigation".
Is it the Weiner sexting with a 15 year old case?
Bribery of an FBI agent?
Ultimately the FBI can't win - they knew about the server all along and Hillary can prove it. So they are doing this little dance to make it look like at least they are trying to be fair (not to mention, give the agents something to make them look busy). As much as I dislike Comey, I appreciate his 'playing ball' on this issue. He could have easily gone to Trump.
Russia needs to stop meddling in OUR election!!!![what we'll be hearing more of]
We meddling in theirs? with guns.
I read the letter. It seems to me he's not saying he's re-opening the investigation, he's saying he's investigating the possibility of maybe looking into the idea of perhaps considering re-opening the investigation. Maybe. But it's going to take some time for him to consider it. Until November 9th, would be my guess. There might be some relevant information coming to light on November 8th that will affect his decision, however.
IOW - the guy's just covering his ass and stalling for time. Now, nobody can accuse him of criminally covering for Hillary because, hey, we're investigating her, aren't we? And once she's safely elected, well, FYTW becomes a perfectly good answer to anybody who's accusing him.
That could be it.
Just enough investigating not to look like he's covering up for Hillary, but not too much that he can't walk it back if she's elected.
He's thinking of two possible scenarios:
SCENARIO 1: "Hello, President Trump, sir, I have this report on Hillary and she's totally going down!"
SCENARIO 2: "Hello, Madame President, I was able to hold off the fanatics who wanted to make a phony scandal out of this, and we've cleared you again!"
That could be it.
With Wikileaks still releasing stuff, I assumed this to be precisely it.
"We're looking into it." covers your ass whether you're sitting on a time bomb or a typo.
yeah, if anyone thinks that fucking weasel isn't hedging his bets, they're kidding themselves. The guy's got 2 or 3 years before he hits his 30-year mark, he's not going to put his government retirement paycheck in jeopardy on mere principle.
Everyone is voting for who they're voting for at this point. This won't affect the outcome of the election in any significant way.
Anything that can impact turnout can have a significant impact on the election - even if it changes no minds.
Will this impact turnout significantly? Fuck, I can see progs using it as a "We need to get out the vote even more so Trump doesn't win!" rallying cry.
I have no idea. But I was simply countering Fist's assertion that the result is effectively set.
Eh, *IF* the FBI recommended indictment or "leaked" something really bad before the election, I could see it depressing turnout for Clinton among those who are anti-Trump, but not virulently so. But that's a big if. I agree this announcement will do nothing.
The folks who already didn't like Hillary but found it hard to stomach Trump.
I'm still undecided whether to vote for Johnson or Nobody
Right. Trump just moved up above Johnson behind Nobody with Almanian as a write-in option.
Nobody. That's what I'm doing.
Don't give this election the veneer of legitimacy. I choose NO ONE to be president.
It's Nob'dy who got us into this mess in the first place by harassing that cyclops.
That was an Odyssy joke for you mouth breathers out there.
Hell no. This has got me so pissed off now, that I'm voting 3 times instead of my normal 2.
And nothing else happened
I should know better by now, but apparently I don't. I've been reading some comments on Politico, The Huffington Post, the NYT, etc., and apparently this is again the fault of the Republicans. That's funny, I didn't know the Republicans controlled Comey, the Director of the FBI under the Obama administration. Strange. Funny how on being confronted on this, no one can clearly explain how or why.
Hmmm....seems plausible to me:
Sean Davis
? ?@seanmdav
Or maybe Jim Comey just found more Clinton cronies he needed to immunize before 2017 and he couldn't do that w/ a closed investigation.
1:24 PM - 28 Oct 2016
Well, Barry was directly implicated in the latest Podesta leaks, so maybe he needs an immunity agreement too, just in case.
Obama wasn't just implicated in lying about knowing about the server ? Podesta and others were implicated in planning a cover up.
"I just heard the President say on the news that this is the first he's learning of it. We need to fix this." Implies that the sender has knowledge that the President said something and knew it was false. Also, whether or not the President was briefed on the relative legality of the server, he had her private email address whitelisted to his Blackberry. So he definitely knew she was using something besides her @state.gov address.
and Cheryl Mills or Huma Abedin or whoever said that they knew that he had plenty of emails from her on his email, and they weren't from her state.gov address.
Well, it's possible that whoever manages his Blackberry knew and that he did not.
True? you can put contacts into the Global Address List so that a user just has to type the name in and be able to email an external contact without knowing their email address.
It's also possible to sync GALs from multiple domains/forests via file sharing.
So it's possible who Clinton's email was put into Obama's phone by his mail server or AD admin or, if they're doing a GAL sync, an Exchange/AD admin at any government agency in the GAL sync group (probably State).
Barry is dim enough to perhaphs not understand that Hillary's non-state email was whitelisted to his phone. But the person that did the whitelisting sure a fuck knows that that means.
Yes. I don't really expect that either Mrs. Clinton or Mr. Obama masterminded the conspiracy. She told her people to set up a system that would be immune to FOIA, and he told his people to not worry about it. Smart, ambitious people below them went off and did what they were told.
+1 'will no one rid Me of this troublesome e-mail?'
The email.
It implicates Cheryl Mills in proposing a cover up and Podesta in knowing about a cover up? that should be enough for conspiracy.
Yeah, that makes about as much sense as anything else. Its consistent with my below thought that there's been suppressed evidence that they're afraid might get leaked. Whatever it is, there's some hot potato out there and he wants to make sure he's pretending to control that thing.
"In connection with an unrelated case, the FBI has learned of the existence of emails that may be pertinent to the investigation. I am writing to inform you that the investigative team briefed me on this yesterday, and I agreed that the FBI should take appropriate investigative steps designed to allow the investigators to review these emails to determine whether they contain classified information, as well as to assess their importance to our investigation."
That is called a CYA memo. They're as old as civilization itself.
Sumerian bureaucrats may have originally invented written language for the sole purpose of writing CYA memos.
I wouldn't say this is a legitimate reopening of any investigation.
Looks to me like Comey wrote a CYA memo so he couldn't be accused of misconduct when he buries it.
"According to New York Times language expert William Safire, [the CYA memo] describes "the bureaucratic technique of averting future policy accusations of policy error or wrongdoing by deflecting responsibility in advance".
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cover_your_ass
He's gonna bury this. He's just telling us in advance. It's like when Hillary Clinton takes money from foreign governments while Secretary of State. Hey, they can't say it was wrong if I told them all about it in advance!
This. Comey has a legacy he wants to preserve, just like any other time-serving hack, one he damaged badly in his defense of Clinton's mens rea. This allows him to play at objectivity without actually harming Clinton, who enjoys a commanding lead.
yep, but it still raises questions as to what the "This" is.
I think the establishment wanrs to appear that they're not trying to throw this thing to Hillary. So their going to spend the next week and a half talking about something no one has seemed to care about. That way they can pretend to be critical without talking about ObamaCare, her warmongering, guns or anything else with the slightest potential to impact her in the polls.
This really makes me reconsider my vote for Hillary.
Even though Trump promises to deport illegals in boxcars and even though TrumPutin will start WW III against Africa, I just don't know how I can support Hillary knowing that she deleted some emails. Such a tough decision.....
If you really want attention, I suggest you douse yourself in gasoline. I promise you will have my undivided attention.
It's really sad how hard he's trying. No dignity at all.
As Chief Grady said, desperation is a stinky cologne.
That would be awesome if AddictionMyth became and immolation expert.
Between Libya and Syria haven't *we* waged more war in Africa in the past couple years?
Well, Libya. Syria's outside that continent.
In and around, dammit!
Point being, both would be a part of any imminent *W*WIII-ing that goes on; and that Russia doing whatever in Crimea isn't exactly worldly relative to the U.S. jumping into things in the ME.
Anyway, whatever, I'm (originally) responding to a troll and too busy looking up this 'Aleppo' thing in the encyclopedia.
No war in Africa. No boots on the ground means we were not engaged in hostilities (despite all the ordinance we were dropping) Therefor, no War Powers needed - B. Obama
Ha, ha! This is friggin awesome. I'm working at the house of a Dem PR person and she is freaking out about this right now. I came in to her office and her head was in her hands watching it unfold on the TV. Too funny.
Did you taste her yummy tears?
Tell me more.
He fixes the cable?
Don't be fatuous, Brett
Working on some doors. One line she gave I had to step outside for a second: "Oh my god! She is sitting on her plane on the tarmac in Iowa and not getting out. This is just unbelievable!"
It does seem to have caught them (and everyone else) off guard.
"You know, i'm beginning to suspect that Her Majesty has been up to some... some shenanigans!"
Ask her how they're going to "clean this up".
Now I know that's a euphemism.
Please post pictures!!!!!
I will be able to taste her tears via picture.
"Dear Messers Chairmen,
It appears that I should have listened to my advisers and extended this investigation beyond the election before burying it. I am taking immediate action to remedy that error. I'm sure you understand. I'll do the same for your investigations should they ever arrive.
Jim Comey"
My guess?
Someone has proof that the FBI had purposely quashed evidence, and that they were going to go to press with it.
So now FBI 'reopens' the investigation so they can take the previously buried-details and pretend to scrutinize those things for 6 months before again declaring it all a non-event anyway.
Out of curiosity, on what do you base this guess? If someone had proof of the FBI quashing evidence, why would this announcement dissuade them from going to the press with it?
It would no longer be proof of FBI misconduct?
and they might also be liable to some obstruction of justice/interfering with an investigation by leaking pertinent material. Don't know.
^Most likely scenario, I think
Give the Hillary any time before the election and she can craft a lie.
That's why personally, I think there will be Nov 7 surprise leaked. No chance for rebuttal a day before in person elections. Hillary cannot win by absentee ballot alone.
Gil, you've managed to get a reply from ENB. And it apparently only took three years: http://reason.com/blog/2016/10.....nt_6503590
Gilmore got her a wee bit flustered.
Timing, mostly. It appears she was in the mood to reflect on herself, occasioned, in part by the debate.
"1) Do I stand by those sentiments? No. In fact, I have written the direct opposite at Reason multiple times
2) So why did I write them? At the time, I was a freelance blogger getting paid $25 per post,"
We get it, you're for sale.
Her explanations were all well and good, but still doesn't explain her comment earlier this year about how noble the goals of "social justice" are even though their tactics aren't always admirable.
Chip: "how noble the goals of "social justice" are even though their tactics aren't always admirable."
Well, what is the goal, "justice"? Sounds noble. (And incompletely defining it has filled volumes.), Good intentions, and the road to hell. What's the average social "justicar", a creature of good intentions, corrupted by narcissism, vulnerability, and hybris, and bound by delusion?
Explanations - attempts - would be interesting here. For example: I still haven't seen explained under what conditions a (male) preference for feminine women is "sexist", and what rule of (social) justice is supposed to govern that.
That said, is the scrutiny excessive?
Excessive? Probably. Still, I do think it's disingenuous of her to take the "justice" bit of the phrase social justice at face value.
What they ~~say~~ their ULTIMATE goals are is rather admirable. Who doesn't want to end racism, sexism, and other forms of pointless discrimination??
Everything they say and do about how to achieve that, on the other hand, isn't.
SJW's wouldn't do what they do unless they could claim it was for some sort of good goal that let them feel morally superior over everyone else.
tl;dr
""I was young and I needed the money""
She acts as though i'm the only one who's ever pointed out the apparent contradictions between earlier writing (2013 is being treated like 'ancient history'?) and now. I learned about those remarks here in the comments.
Add *I was young and hadn't completely reflected on my system of ethics and principles*. If I remember correctly, she said that her intuition made her reject the baker's freedom to discriminate against homosexual customers. (This may tie into what Chip alludes to above, an [emotional] affinity for some aspects of what disciples of social justice want.)
Don't be a dick.
my point there was just that that Bustle-quote was in circulation in the comments here for a long while before i ever even noticed it.
If i get the stalker-accusation hung on me, i because think its stung the very few times i've mentioned it.
Quit shaming Gil.
She admitted she was wrong. Can people drop it now? 8 ball says no.
meh
"" read very little about that case and formulated a quick & dumb opinion. That's surely the least dumb thing I've ever written that's still out there. ""
She spent most of her excuse (as i said above) carping about how writing is hard and she was 'young' (2013?) at the time.
My only thought was/is, if she wants to now say...
"I've complete changed my mind about Freedom of Association", and its implications re: public-accommodation-laws"
... i think that's the sort of thing one needs to say in a written piece, where one discusses the process of how a mind gets changed, and why the issue matters, no?
Its a sticky issue, no doubt. And something that presents a grave problem for the people who want to keep one foot in the squishy-social-justice world, and the other in libertarianism.
Coming right out and saying, "i reject the idea that govt should force people to associate" is a little different than some mea culpa in a dead comments-section.
""I've complete changed my mind about Freedom of Association", and its implications re: public-accommodation-laws"
... i think that's the sort of thing one needs to say in a written piece, where one discusses the process of how a mind gets changed, and why the issue matters, no?"
If the transformation is substantial. I'm not certain it was here. When you say many things, you are bound to say something wrong. Likely something that is governed by emotion, and the moment. I think it can be somewhat tempting to say "it's a damn, simple cake; your religion is ridiculous, and you hurt vulnerable people by refusing". That could even induce "utilitarian libertarians" to reject freedom of association (less likely for rule-utilitarians).
Your skepticism has merit. But it's worth putting it in perspective. For example, I tend to be against abortions, emotionally, and part of me welcomes certain restrictions. Rationally, as a matter of theory and principle, I am for the (negative) right to have an abortion. Over years, chances are I've said something that contradicted myself.
Over years, chances are I've said something that contradicted myself.
TAINTED!
Might as well get an all-over taint.
I assume she doesn't want to get Eiched at some later date.
George Will could say what he wants because he already has a reputation that will get him a job on the right no matter how hated he is on the left. But journalism is basically just another word for politics these days, so unless you're gunning for a job at the Weekly Standard, best not to contradict Pravda outright when you don't have to.
Can people drop it now?
Ha. Her purity has been forever tainted.
Jeez, dude. You sound like my pastor.
And by pastor you mean....
Every article she writes for Reason should be overlaid with a scarlet "c" for contaminated.
"Every article she writes for Reason should be overlaid with a scarlet "c" for contaminated."
No. Tainted & Accused.
Tainted & accused
Kinky new porn title----------------Stolen.
I thought the "c" was for "Crusty Would"
Wait, that means the same thing as "contaminated", doesn't it??
Quite plausible. Meanwhile the least plausible implication is that this is an actual investigation trying to get to the truth of any criminal wrongdoing.
If they were interested in truth, the first investigation would have recommended trial. So really, it's a game of "what motive drives the change?"
Something nefarious is all I can say with any degree of certainty.
I'm guessing that Comey thought that someone was about to leak something and he had to get out ahead.
I have no idea what to make of this. I'm reading all these theories about CYA memos, etc., but the simple fact is that this looks really, really bad for Clinton. That investigation was ancient history and eventually the WikiLeaks news will settle down. Why would the FBI do anything at all, except stand pat and wait for the whole thing to blow over? Unless there is some other bombshell information that someone is going to get out to the public soon, that the FBI will not be able to ignore. If there's one thing I learned from watching National Treasure, it's that everyone wants to keep the status quo, until something disrupts it and the status quo changes.
Status quo is predictable. People prefer the known dangers to the unknown dangers.
This. Even as a CYA move, the timing seems awful.
My theory (above) is that there was something that was in danger of being exposed which may have cast serious questions on the integrity of the investigation. By claiming they're now 'looking at stuff we hadn't considered before", they're providing open-ended cover to anyone who might leak info that suggests they'd quashed evidence or ignored sources.
I think that's about right. The question is whether they know what Wikileaks has and know something is going to blow or just want to have their bases covered. Either way, getting Huma and Weiner back front and center provides some entertainment.
Well well well.
Also, this story was broken on Reason by your daily reminder that the Buttplug needs to pay up his bet.
All this is just going to cleavage the country apart: https://youtu.be/9rBr_WLQsFc?t=32s
Damn those white gloves.
So I guess Bill Clinton will be hanging out at various airports around DC/NYC/CHI until he runs into bought-and-paid-for Attorney General Loretta Lynch (totes by sheer coincidence of course) so he can grab her arm and say "WTF girl?! Thought we had a deal?!"
Grab her by the what now?
Ew.
The only thing that would make me think that maybe Comey was being legitimate here is if he found emails that indicated a tit for tat involving Hillary's cronies making that $675,000 payment to the FBI's lead investigator's wife.
Am I wrong to think that people don't accidentally make $675,000 contributions?
Is it even plausible to think that Hilary's cronies accidentally made a $675,000 contribution to the wife of the FBI agent who was supervising the Clinton email investigation?
You'd have to be an idiot to think that was a coincidence.
"Mr. Comey rebutted these claims, telling the House Judiciary Committee in September that "you can call us wrong, but don't call us weasels."
http://www.wsj.com/articles/fb.....1477675549
You're a bunch of weasels.
You're a bunch of shitheads.
You're a bunch of shit weasels.
....here's an idea, Mr. Comey. If you don't want us to call you 'weasels', quit being so weasel-like.
So this would jive well with my comment below --- it does seem like Comey cares about the FBI on some level. And any possible implication that the lead investigator was paid off would tarnish the FBI itself in a way that I Comey may be unwilling to ignore. It also makes sense given the timing and the wording of his statement -- no proof that the investigator was influenced by the donation, but worth investigating, and if there was concerns that he was compromised, that would be a reason to reopen the Clinton case.
I hadn't heard about that. It's so ridiculously hard to keep up with the sheer breadth and number of her crimes. It's just remarkable that our modern political culture is capable of tolerating her excesses and pretending they don't exist and don't matter. It's easy to be snarky about the degeneration of political culture that got us to that point, but it's another to try and actually wrap your head around how much she casually gets away with.
http://www.wsj.com/articles/cl.....1477266114
It's not at all clear that anything criminal happened. Maybe not even especially unethical, which is to say more than the typical level of incestuousness of politics.
The things is, the FBI seems to have been aware of the donation from the beginning -- apparently the investigator told them about it and sought ethics advice. So if this what triggered Comey's statement, what changed?
Eh, all this speculation is worthless. We'll find out, or not. Probably nothing will come of this either way.
Hmm, well the more I read, the more it seems like this guy might have actually had some influence over the Clinton investigation when the donation was made. So who knows.
thanks for the info
The timeline isn't clear to me.
As I mentioned in the other post. The fundraiser with Hillary and the contribution to the wife of the FBI agent occurred before the FBI announced the investigation into the Clinton email server. So there is no evidence that Hillary was trying to influence the investigation.
However, the FBI agent was twice promoted after the contribution and then put into a position that had responsibility for the email investigation. This agent utterly failed to disclose a conflict of interest and recuse himself from the investigation.
So the FBI is totally fucked by this revelation, but not Hillary directly.
Here's what I find most interesting -- if there really was nothing here and this was just a CYA, why not sit on it until after the election to avoid any calls of political bias? (I know waiting would *also* show political bias, but it somehow seems more passive, kind of like a "let them play" non-call near the end of a big game). The fact that Comey is doing this now and opening up himself and the FBI to accusations of politicization and interfering in the election makes me think that he honestly believes there is something worth investigating.
He's trying to salvage something from the tatters of his reputation and credibility within the bureau, perhaps, since supposedly there are a lot of people within the FBI who are disgusted by this whole affair....although I've always had my doubts about the truth of that.
When I heard this earlier I checked on the internet, and lo and behold, the mainstream press hadn't reported it.
It took 'off' sites and blogs to do it.
Now try and tell me they're not in the bag for the Democrat party of the United States.
What's crazy is they owe NOTHING to Hillary. So why do it?
They're true believers, that's why. No conspiracy at all. The media, from CEOs down to beat reporters, almost all strongly favor her and believe they have a duty to get her elected, journalistic ethics be damned.
Or someone did some hocus-pocus groups and came to believe this shit in fact benefits Hillary, making her look like a victim of Teh Patriarchy or whatever.
(I don't think it could be true but can see how someone could believe it)
Don't forget: Comey destroyed much of the evidence already. I smell another pretext/coverup.
That's what I said.
It's a CYA memo.
Comey on. This is rather strange. Perhaps it's designed to preempt something. The timing needs to be explained. Overall, is it normal procedure?
I think Ken has it right. A Clinton aide (I think...someone close to her at least) donated a bunch of money to the Senate campaign of the wife of the lead investigator in the Clinton email probe. That just came out, I believe, and warrants further investigation to determine if there was any influence on the Clinton investigation.
Probably conclusion - no. I think I read somewhere that the donation was made before the Clinton investigation started, so perhaps the two really were unrelated.
I'm still thinking the best pure CYA plan was just continued silence, unless something so horrible came up a fresh coverup is required.
Maybe we can at least get a sympathy felony on Podesta? Just a little something from the FBI and Justice to let the new President know they are expensive to roll?
But why? Why cover it up?
It's closed - remember? Comey closed it in July - so why reopen it again?
And if Hil-dog is somehow indicted we will get President-elect Tim Kaine.
Just what the Peanut Gallery wants!
Beats the everloving shit out of President Hillary. Kaine is a boob, but he isn't monumentally corrupt.
Can I call him pimp-president-Kaine?
It might be fun having a Pres who looks like a drunken leprechaun that has Alzheimer's.
Honestly, at this point, I think I am okay with a President Kaine.
I am sure he would be awful for 4 years, but that is okay.
So? Buttplug? got the proof yet?
Hi friend. How's my stock doing?
Wow, it looks like I just made 20% TODAY ALONE.
How's your portfolio, bro? Strong to quite strong?
What was the details on the bet, I cant remember?
We each bet 100k at the new year. He lost everything, and I'm up 279%. One of the companies he bought calls in is even filing for bankruptcy.
But he's a playboy and a financial wizard genius master.
I'd breathe a sigh of relief.
Did you pay up yet?
Shouldn't you be paying a donation because you lost a bet or something? Integrity is so hard to come by these days..
Yet ANOTHER Trump article!! Why do these liberal writers on this site never talk about Clinton!!
Most of the Peanut Gallery here hits "refresh" on Breitbart all day long.
Real libertarians, you know!
Head on over to market watch, type my stock in, hit refresh, and tell me what you find.
Actually no one at breitbart has even been worth reading for entertainment since Ben Shapiro left.
How's the daily kos these days? Has the revolution started yet?
Don't you have money to donate for a lost bet or something?
It's hilarious that the HUGE news item that reason decides to report makes up for the lack of wiki coverage. If someone can produce a scorecard on these things there might be less bitching
Huh
http://www.nytimes.com/2016/10.....&smtyp=cur
Odds are Weiner forwarded them to his dick pic "buddies"?
Odds are he's indicted?
Weiner's dick pics are top secret state material?
Hey Weigel.
Oh, ye of very little brain!
He forwarded Clinton emails to his dick pic "buddies".
Wikileaks got the Clinton Emails when Weiner was catfished by Russian hackers posing as teenaged girls?
Maybe. They might have to bring him in and examine him.
Its a really important dick. He's got secret words written on it.
I told him not to tattoo nuclear launch codes on his penis.
Yeah, someone's got to take the fall in all of this, and so it might as well be Weiner. That neatly ties up a number of unresolved plot threads - the sexting scandal, the private server crimes, and Huma is finally free to openly be with her true love.
I thought the fall guy would have been one of the IT staffers.
They've already mysteriously went missing...
Updated with some new links. Apparently the emails were on devices held by Huma Abedin and Anthony Weiner.
I wonder what that means exactly...thanks Scott.
Hillary/Weiner sexting exchange?
Thanks for the update, Scott. Anthony Weiner matters again! Ha.
This is your daily reminder that you do not want to send bulge photos to a fifteen-year-old and then tell her you want to bust her tight pussy.
This is your daily reminder that you do not want toshould not send bulge photos to a fifteen-year-old and then tell her you want to bust her tight pussy.
Fixed this for you.
Shoulda woulda coulda
I really might die of schadenfreude overdose.
GWAAH! BENGHAZII! No, seriously, this bullshit just proves the FBI director is in the tank forTrump.
What percentage of Trump yokels probably believes that these emails show that Clinton probably put Chris Stevens to death? 50?
I know you want to come here and blindly insult people in service of an administration that doesn't give a shit about you, but you really should hold off until Journolist distributes its talking points. What you just said is pretty much nonsense. You're not intelligent enough to make these arguments on your own; just wait until your betters have sent out their marching orders.
Yeah, I know. I'm sorry. Trump cares.
I know this is hard for a lot of you progtards to understand, but most of us don't give a shit whether or not the President "cares," just whether he upholds the Constitution. We're voting for President, not Dad.
So you trust Trump, who serially files lawsuits against people who say bad things about him, to uphold the law? Good luck. I'm voting for Stein so can you and I have a beer and talk when things suck even worse when Trump is Prez?
What the fuck are you talking about? I am and have always been unequivocally against Trump. Criticizing your childish belief that the President should basically be some sort of Jesus/Santa hybrid who loves each and every one of us just how we are and wants to give us all sorts of free shit, does not mean I'm supporting that jackass.
Actually, this is straight out of the Clinton playbook, as revealed in the Podesta leak. The idea is to conflate the email scandal with Benghazi in an effort to change the subject and dismiss the broader range of the private server idiocy. It also has nothing to do with Trump, but might as well throw him in there as well in a further attempt at confusing the issue. This DOES reflect his marching orders, which is sad, because this pathetic, transparently idiotic attempt at a defense is all the Hillbots have left. And then, if you can't change the subject, insult people.
How the in the fucking world can Trump possibly have more political currency than the fucking Clintons?
This is your claim?
Wow.
HA! HA! The "missing" emails were discovered whilst investigating Weiner.
Yeah, they're gonna be a real smoking gun.
Stone Energy to file for bankruptcy.
Boy, you sure can pick em.
How's my stock doing?
I'm no financial genius. Is a 284% return over 10 months good?
Please advise,
your friend Playa.
Oh he's got a smoking gun alright!
Okay - seriously - what could this be? Clinton Foundation? What?
Anybody?
It's proof that Hillary and Huma are lesbian lovers! And Weiner and Bill Clinton are poon hounds!
Are dick pics classified? I guess we're going to find out.
Could you guys get a room?
This story has just become the best thing ever.
If only this could come full circle and involve Bill's trips on the Lolita Express.
Weiner accidentally twittered a photo of Hillary tea-bagging Vince Foster
I'm loving it.
Another chance to laugh at gullible conservatives!
Hey Weigel.
The fact that your on here spouting bullshit once again proves your masters are scared about what is about to come out. Ha ha ha ha haha hahahaha haahahha hahahah hahahahhhah hahahhahh ahhahhahahah hhahha haahhahahha hahahh ahahhaha hhahahhha hahhahahah *gasps* ha
Huh. So that wouldn't obviously have something to do with the McAulife investigation.
Also, apparently they are married. And apparently Huma Abedin is a woman. I honestly did not know that.
Have we reached Peak 2016?
Once again, Hillary's ambitions ruined by a man's inability to keep has pants on at work.
I have the Weiner documentary somewhere on my computer at home. I watched the first 5 mins and decided it was too awkward and cringey at the time.
Don't you love how both Huma and Hildogs are married to serial sex-abusers? Such role models.
that movie was amazing. And yes their life is a trainwreck. If you wanna see how narcissetic, self-serving and attention starved these people are you have to see it.
YAAAAARRRRRGGGGGGGAAAAAAGGGGGG!!!!
Calm down, Beavis.
I'm trying to channel my inner Breitbartian.
And instead just getting extra you.
You mean your inner Joseph Stalin.
Most sensible thing you've ever written.
Ooh... this article is chilling.

Do you ever feel like a sucker?
Coming from someone who apparently believes libertarian socialist isn't an oxymoron.
You fear is showing, but you're still an adorable little treasure
Conveniently, Comey is reopening the case AFTER early voting in several states.
James Comey -
"You cannot accuse me of sabotaging Clinton's chances in the election. That is the one thing you cannot do."
I'd bet the motivated voters are the ones voting early, and have their minds made up regardless. Soft support impacted by turnout may be felt on election day itself. Maybe.
Bismillah!!
So, from the NYT piece saying it was Weiner-related.... it seems this is all a big nothing.
Basically, he had 1000s of cc:'d emails from Huma which had strings of clinton-related information in the them, and now the FBI has to comb through all that shit and then announce that absolutely none of that is proof of mis-handling of classified information no matter what might actually be in the content of those emails.
Move along, nothing to see.
Unless one of the 33k bleached emails is on there and either:
1) Shows something new (imaginations run wild).
or
2) Shouldn't have been deleted under those ridiculous immunity deals.
yeah, that's possible, but as i said above = even if there is something that would "raise new questions", the end result will still be to say, "not enough to prosecute"
basically = they've had everything they needed 1000x over to prosecute her. The mere existence of the server is proof of intent to evade record-keeping & FOIA laws. You can demonstrate intent a dozen ways. Pagliano's testimony in exchange for immunity should have provided more than enough corroboration.
the purpose of the investigation is to exonerate her regardless of what they find. My only initial thought was that there may have been something internally-damaging which they were trying to bury now. The fact that its just Weiner's blackberry suggests that this is just some loose-strings that weren't ever going to be damaging in the first place.
and now word is the FBI guys refused to destroy the laptops of Mills et al, and they still exist
If the result is what you said it will lead to even less trust with the FBI and government, so there is that. It may not affect the election, but it could certainly affect the future.
Might be proof of Foundation shenanigans.
Even one classified email cc ed to Weiner is a federal crime, though.
Might be proof of Foundation shenanigans.
What do you mean by this, exactly? Can the FBI open a new case based on evidence obtained in another case? I'm not as legally-literate as most on here.
You bet they can In fact, it's quite common.
"So, from the NYT piece saying it was Weiner-related...."
Assuming credibility where there is none.
So... it's my anti-Trump hypothesis.
So this came from a US Attorney's investigation. So lots of people have seen the devices. And it is only after someone has an "oh shit" moment does the FBI get brought in to review the emails.
Going to be harder to bury the evidence this time even if it a democratic-friendly, New York office.
I bet Preet is involved. That crazy sumbitch won't rest until he's indicted EVERYBODY.
Yes, I think I saw it was Preet.
Or maybe not. I can't find the link now.
Hot damn.
To the best of my recollection, Salon was reporting that the devices were seized as part of an investigation into Weiner sending explicit sexts to a minor. This is now gone from their reporting. So they are now sticking to the party memorandum that it is not related to Hillary's email. period.
I thought PREEET was investingating the Foundation this whole time?
On the last day, when everyone else in indicted, Preet will hand in a final indictment on himself (he still had forms left)...
From the NYT comments.

I was having a nice Friday lunch out at a restaurant when this outrageous bombshell hit. I put down my fork and couldn't eat. I got a lump in my throat and a slight tremor in my hands. Then I felt like bursting into tears. I had a wave of fear shoot through me. But now I'm furious and sickened by this display of hateful nasty dirty politics.
Comey's timing is despicable. This just underscores my determination to elect Hillary Clinton. Her supporters can see through this machination a mile away. I'd rather vote for our neighborhood groundhog than vote, even acknowledge, that sweaty handed Trump.

I have a semi right now.
Oh, read the rest. its a goldmine.
My facebook feed is full of people talking about moving to Canada. Oh, and apparently I'm a dick who needs to go to another country (because I don't want Canada annexing the U.S.).
Iceland, Switzerland, St Kitts or St Maarten.
Why would anyone choose Canada?
It has socialized health care; they speak English, and you can drive to visit family in New England.
So exactly 1 positive. Which applies to St Kitts, St Maarten, and many residents of Iceland and Switzerland.
The wife and I went to Iceland for a week last summer. Fucking beautiful country.
And possibly Pirates as head of the Parliament.
I love their assumption that Canada would take them. Having the other guy win the presidency in a democratic nation does not exactly translate to refugee status. And does Canada really want to load up on Americans who think elections should only count if their guy wins?
I believe most of the prime Caribbean destinations require you to bring money.
Wow, I can honestly say that no matter how far I may fall, and no matter what I might lose, I will never be that pathetic of a weirdo.
Hate to break it to you but you are commenting on a libertarian internet forum, you weirdo.
Indeed. However I am 100% confident that I will never fall as far as that loser.
Suddenly, claiming a "rigged election" means you are on the side of sweetness and democracy.
Potentially thousands of new emails on the Huma and Weiner devices the FBI seized. You might say they grabbed Huma by the .pst.
Probably not that many, but still. Comey destroying this evidence might actually get some FBI time servers to go public. He shot his wad on the first investigation. Now he's got less room to maneuver.
Potentially thousands of new emails on the Huma and Weiner devices the FBI seized. You might say they grabbed Huma by the .pst.
Wonderful.
Weiner...eh? Sending package pics via social media is a shockingly clueless thing to do. Did he just not care, or just have epic self-control issues? If so, what other irresponsible things was he sending out via email and such?
Is this the kind of guy who would blindly send around classified reports to his buds. "Hey look at this cool secret satellite pic of Putin riding a bear"
It would be hilarious if Weiner had a device full of top secret material from Hillary's server.
It would be hilarious if Weiner had a device full of top secret material from Hillary's server.
Interspersed with dick pix.
"And here's something from Gen. Patreaus"
"And here's my dong"
"And here's the launch codes - whoops, maybe I should delete those!"
"And here's a few with my dong in various stages of engorgement next to a coke bottle."
"Here's something about the grassy knoll... Huh... That's odd."
In a spy novel, the Russians would have honeytrapped Weiner and used him this whole time, but in the real world, that government is just as incompetent as ours.
You might say they grabbed Huma by the .pst.
I love a good Outlook joke. My hat is off to you, sir.
Huma is about to be tossed under the bus.
Pending Hillary's first pardon, that is.
Glad you and I know there will me multiple pardons issued for Hillary.
Apparently the emails were on devices held by Huma Abedin and Anthony Weiner.
So, how long until Anthony Weiner is found dead in a field dressed in women's underwear? Six weeks? Ten?
uh, six to ten days you mean?
Not while the heat is on, man. The chastisement of Weiner can wait. Besides, his awareness that the axe will fall he knows not when is part of the punishment.
According to The New York Times, the new emails they're analyzing were on devices belonging to Huma Abedin and Anthony Weiner.
Does this mean the progs won't be able to blame this on the Russians?
Or conservatives you would think. Nah, they'll still try to blame the conservatives.
The current prog spin is that the case wasn't reopened at all ? that's just an exaggeration by the Republicans (namely Jason Chaffetz).
Hillary gets pegged by Carlos Danger - this is delicious
Ladies, this is another reminder that we never trust a man because they're all pigs.
Looks like the weiner is trying to keep the pussy under control.
So, the $0.64 question is whether Mr. Comey is doing this to save his face or he really has something against Ms. Clinton worth pursuing.
The "save face" scenario is obvious: Mr. Comey says we thought we had something but we cannot find anything of which Ms. Clinton is guilty. Since Ms. Clinton is not guilty of anything bigger than a mistake (2nd investigation), then she must be innocent and I am a righteous person.
I hope I am wrong.
But he said she was innocent!
/proggy
Look, she's the most qualified candidate for any office in world herstory. She is as pure as Alpine snow. This is a fake scandal, perpetrated by the same cabal of patriarchal sexist racist cisnormative homotransphobic bigots that have been trying to besmirch this good woman for 30 years. Vote GRRL power, because vagina. Women who don't vote vagina are traitors and wreckers, and will be purged. There is nothing to see here, so stop looking.
There was something in the AM Linx about how using the word "pure" to describe nature is bad or something. Shitlord.
My pronoun is "Shitlord," so you're good.
Of all the things I might be persuaded to do because vagina, voting for Hilldog isn't one.
You left out the 'VRWC'!
Ding! Dong! The witch is dead!
It's not like the guy has had many options. Imagine you were him, not you, and see what you'd do. Let's stipulate you have some sort of actionable information. So, it's July of an election year -- what are you going to do? You can press charges, but do you really want to go down in history as the guy who (s)elected Donald Trump as president? You can just keep investigating, but it's July, and you can't keep that up forever. So your first move was really the only one you could've made, but it still puts you in a bind, since we stipulated it's not an empty investigation. Now, here you are ten days out from the election... what are you going to do?
"Jacob Sullum has noted that how Clinton has responded to this scandal has reinforced her reputation for dishonesty."
Once the rep is '100% expected', how does it get worse?
I wish Hitchens were here for this.
Bill Clinton once executed a retard just to prove that he was tough on crime.
Everything the Clintons did after that should have been foreseeable.
I mean, if you're so morally bankrupt that you'll execute a retard so that you'll look tough on crime, what won't you do?
How much worse is selling your public office off to the highest bidder than that, really?
Man makes weird sound during interview regarding Clinton email investigation, is disqualified from president.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/th.....mail-news/
Polls also show that those don't know that the LP ticket were governors in heavily democrats states actually increased by 45%.
We've definitely gotta be past the point where there are still functionally literate people out there who don't believe Hillary is a crook, right?
The people who support her at this point are all doing so--in spite--of thinking she's a crook, amirite?
Of course they know she's a crook. They don't care. The agenda is all -- how they get there doesn't matter.
A lot of people have concluded they're both crooks multiple times over, so now you end up having to try and decide whether set of crimes A is more or less felonious than set of crimes B.
Or, how about you go with candidate C and stop promoting a system that results in felons nominated for President?
I'm open to that.
But we are talking about mutually exclusive alternatives here.
Life isn't a zero sum game, but single member districts are.
You can't be a Trump supporter and say you are concerned about ethics and truth. That, my friends, is oxymoronic.
If you're saying the truth can't be that Hillary is a crook because you don't like Donald, then you're being willfully delusional.
You can't be a Trump supporter and say you are concerned about ethics and truth. That, my friends, is oxymoronic.
Trump has nothing to do with Hillary's lying and lack of ethics and is not an excuse. Maybe, just maybe, they're both lousy candidates and you shouldn't support either of them.
Friends?
That's a turd in your pocket.
Within normal parameters....
To be honest, the worse Trump is, the more my vote for him telegraphs just how much I hate the establishment, which is good because if he weren't running against Hill's crowd I'm not sure which way I'd vote. I suppose Hillary supporters could likewise view every revelation as enhancing the proof of loyalty embodied in their vote.
That's not how it works. Each time something comes in that any reasonable person would conclude is strong evidence or proof of crime the True Believers rally. They convince themselves and the not-very-interested that she's innocent. After having accepted that she's not a crook a dozen times or so the suckers can't admit the truth or they seem like morons for not getting it 5 scandals ago.
At the risk of sounding like an evil minded, suspicious old man, I am an old man, I wonder as to the following. Will the additional or ongoing investigation be completed,it's results released, before or after the soon to be held presidential elections? Also, might this ongoing investigation be otherwise termed A Whitewash?
"Will the additional or ongoing investigation be completed,it's results released, before or after the soon to be held presidential elections?"
LOL
Her choice of words and phrasing, as well as subtle body language and facial expressions alone should inspire objective and 'neutral' observers to question the veracity of just about every one of her comments.
Only her Cult Members or fools could miss those cues.
RE: FBI Reopens Investigation on Clinton's Private Email Server (UPDATE: Connections to Anthony Weiner)
Obviously the FBI director did not get the memo that Comrade Hillary will be occupying the White House Dascha after the election. But not to worry fellow comrades. There will be a purge of the FBI once she is sworn in, and the FBI director will not be the only one occupying it. There will be others, many others. Especially those who voted against her, made snide remarks about her, her political opponents, etc. It makes one wonder how many other weiners she has been connected with.
It should be clear to voters, too, especially millenials, that this shit show is just getting started.
If Hillary gets elected, it's gonna be steady non-stop scandal for another four years at least.
There are other scandals brewing right now that no one know about, but they'll become apparent once Hillary is in office, and once she's in office, she's gonna really start grifting.
We're giving a con executive privilege and the power to pardon and all the leverage in the world to cash checks and write executive orders. And she's gonna plug a bomb in that ass.
You think you're sick of hearing about scandal now? wait for another four years of this. And she's gonna throw her cronies to the wolves, too. The McDougals went to jail for her, and she never lifted a finger to help them.
You should have seen what the Clintons did to Al Gore, had him go pick up a check from the Chinese Communist Party by way of some weird ass cult. Gore was the Clintons' bag man.
You should see the weirdos he was takin money from.
http://www.enterstageright.com.....aising.jpg
We're gonna get that shit all over again times ten. I bet Hillary's security detail at the Secret Service already has enough dirt to put her behind bars forever.
As opposed to the non-scandals of Donnie Boy? He's got a litany of them, going back to his youth.
Donald Trump didn't accept money from foreign governments while he was Secretary of State, but Hillary did.
"In all, governments and corporations involved in the arms deals approved by Clinton's State Department have delivered between $54 million and $141 million to the Clinton Foundation as well as hundreds of thousands of dollars in payments to the Clinton family, according to foundation and State Department records.
"Hillary Clinton Oversaw US Arms Deals to Clinton Foundation Donors"
Mother Jones

Read that sentence over and over until you really understand what it says, and then go read the article.
Then come back and say something ridiculous comparing that to Trump.
Sorry, abusing public office to enrich yourself and your family is not the same as . . . whatever it is you're saying about Trump.
Click the "Poor and Pissed" handle and behold the derp!
Dude's up top saying you can't care about the truth if you don't want Hillary?
I don't need to see it. I already feel sick to my stomach.
It was just Fast And Furious-ISIS Drift.
All P&P's got is a shoddy attempt to change the subject. I smell a CTR shill.
"There is no controlling legal authority!!!"
----Al Gore
Even the New York Times said he was full of shit.
"Maria Hsia is charged with laundering over $55,000 from the Buddhist temple luncheon for Vice President Al Gore on April 29, 1996. A Senate committee's charge that Ms. Hsia was a Chinese intelligence agent during an eight-year period when she worked closely with Mr. Gore and the D.N.C. has yet to be proved, but the tale of those years is too important to be lost amid war talk and sex scandals.
One fascinating aspect is the way in which Mr. Gore's memories of the temple event have evolved -- to use the politest possible term -- as more information has emerged. During the 1996 campaign, Mr. Gore said his appearance at the Hsi Lai Temple was a ''community outreach'' event. Four months later, he remembered it was ''finance related.'' Indeed, it was. According to a report by the Senate Governmental Affairs Committee, a witness recalled fund-raising announcements from the podium. The committee also found a memo from Harold Ickes to Mr. Gore telling him that the event would raise $250,000 and would be organized by John Huang, the D.N.C. official who circulated among the donors during lunch.

Trump is history, this is not news. Grabbing women's pussies without their consent is. Try it sometime and see what happens.
"...this is not news..."
Sniff, sniff...
Sarc or stupidity?
Another shoddy attempt to change the subject, which is Hillary.
Changing the subject and insults. That's all they've got since Hillary's conduct is indefensible.
How did it feel when Bernie sold out to a big bankster shill?
I have been grabbing women's cats without their consent for years. I horde pussy, is what I am saying.
The DNC was run by the Clintons back then, and, as recent wikileaks emails about Wasserman-Schultz showed, they still run it today.
Here's the thing I don't think millenials understand: Hillary taking money from foreign governments while Secretary of State isn't anything new. It isn't a new allegation. It's a continuation of practices she started in the 1990s. She was still doing the exact same thing as Secretary of State, and she'll be doing the exact same thing in the White House. To Hillary Clinton, being the President is just an influence peddling and money laundering opportunity.
That's what she did in the White House before.
That's what she did as Secretary of State.
And there is no good reason she won't continue to do the same thing once she has executive privilege and the power to pardon.
"And there is no good reason she won't continue to do the same thing once she has executive privilege and the power to pardon."
We'll see the White House plumbing fixtures on e-bay if she gets a chance.
You remember when she was forced to bring back or pay for hundreds of thousands of dollars' worth of White House furniture and china once the Clintons left office?
They were going to charge her with theft.
http://abcnews.go.com/Politics.....856&page=1
Hillary said she thought they were "gifts"!
Seriously, whenever the Clintons come over, I'm sure everybody hides the silver.
Bill"s office furniture had stains that ruined it.
These kids don't have any idea how corrupt and treasonous employees in the State Department have been. There were multiple Soviet spies working at top levels of the State Department at any one time in the not too distant past.
Cleaning house is what we need. I always thought the US gov never took advantage of internal affairs type spies looking for shady shit and reporting directly to Congress or whatever. By the time these 3-letter agencies find foreign spies serious damage is already done. give bonuses to employees who whistleblow.
I remember, too, back when all of the Clinton fundraising scandals were raging, Hillary and her cronies used it as a reason to call for campaign finance reform.
Stop us from being corrupt, please, because we can't stop ourselves!
Memo to the Wingnuttery out there: say 'Hello' to President-Elect Tim Kaine.
Satisfied now?
Trump is Idi Amin 'American Style'.
The Con Man will NEVER be POTUS.
This investigation is so politically irresponsible.
And I mean that in the highest sense of the word.
Remember, peons, Queen Hillary is above the law and you shall not cast thine peasant eyes upon her actions.
Isn't it true that every member of Congress uses a private Email server?
No. Very few people have their own pet server under their complete control hidden in their basement. "Private email" (i.e. a private account maintained by an email service like Google, Aol, Yahoo, or a server operated by some other company that resolves to "idiot@reelectsenatormoron.com" ) is NOT the same as a "Private email server" which is what Hillary did (i.e. ran her own). Presumably the bigger companies have better security than just one guy who has to ask Reddit for tech advice.
If they ARE using a private account or server to send classified material unsecured like Hillary did, guess what? THEY SHOULD ALSO GO TO JAIL.
Nice try, but your talking point doesn't fly.
I feel almost completely insane typing this but this may lead to the best possible outcome:
1. Trump loses the election because he can't possibly win at this point. Clinton could murder and dismember a man in plain view on the national mall and still get elected on pure inertia.
2. Clinton gets in the paddy wagon before January.
3. Tim Kaine is sworn in as president in January 2017.
4. Americans rejoice because neither Hillary nor Trump is president.
I don't really care for Tim Kaine as a politician and I think just about everyone here would choose Gay Jay over him, but compared to Trump or Clinton he'd be like the messiah come down from heaven.
Close, but no cigar:
1. Hillary is determined to be the election winner (regardless of the actual voting by living, individual, US citizens)
2. The DOJ brings an indictment before January.
3. Emperor Hussein declares that since it would not be appropriate for someone under indictment to assume the presidency, He will graciously continue in office until the investigation is complete.
4. The investigation proceeds at the normal pace for a federal process.
(you see, Tim Kaine cannot become president other than upon the death of incapacity of PRESIDENT Clinton; she would not become president in your scenario. Besides, mine will make a much better movie.)
President Hussein will just pardon her, on the premise of "healing a nation" and "honoring the election results." In one fell swoop he protects the Democrat winner (and keeps her from testifying against him) and hobbles her for four years, thereby making sure that he ends up still running the party and getting Liz Warren ready for her closeup.
It's funny how people on the left like Krugman are flipping their lid over this.
They're letting the mask slip.
No matter how in the bag this thing looks to Hillary, they're still very aware that the best alternative to Trump they could muster is still a pretty horrible, unlikable person.
They just can't feel safe until the election is over, and they're letting it show.
Dude, when you make a recommendation not to prosecute, the investigation better be over!
Now you have to choose between being known as a liar or an idiot. Oh, wait, we get to choose! And "both" is an option.
Is any of this credible?
http://i.sli.mg/WuG4nP.png
I usually disbelieve anyone claiming to be a government insider.
I am given to understand that in the past, no attention was paid to "shocking revelations" that happened 30 days -- or was it 60 days -- prior to a general election. Now we abuse our election process to shorten it to 11 days prior. What has changed? Easy; now we all takes sides, including the head of the FBI. We are the new banana republic.
"...Easy; now we all takes sides, including the head of the FBI..."
Poor John, your hag might end up where she belongs; in jail.

Fuck off, slaver, and take that corrupt hag with you.
WEINERGATE (bulge redacted)
At the very least Huma Abedin should be arrested and have her security clearance revoked. She is in hiding now, but she will eventually be caught. Huma is the Clinton's primary connection to Saudi Arabia and the Muslim Brotherhood. She has been intimately involved in the Clinton Foundation, intimately involved the millions of dollars the Foundation received from Saudi Arabia and other Middle Eastern Countries, intimately involved in the Clinton foreign policy of overthrowing Middle Eastern dictators and arming "rebels" (also known as Isis).
She better be hiding in her lawyer's office.
This is all pretty simple. Wiener boy got caught throwing soft core, maybe even hardcore, pics to a 15 year old girl. Then wifey dumps him. Thus he has no more ties to Clinton Inc. Especially the high caliber legal connections. So while he is probably facing some type of pedo charges, and he knows what happens to those people in prison, he makes a deal with the Feds, and drops dime on the Clinton Inc. Consigliere.
Put the politics aside, he is looking for survival. And he got it all out before he became a "robbery" victim.
CNN is already running attack articles against Comey. It's amazing, watching baying sheep protect try to protect the wolf.
What's amazing is that it's the same morons who three months ago were praising him for being ""above politcs" are now decrying this as a hyper-partisan, anti-Hillary move.
I think if bringing down Hilldog were Comey's objective, he could have easily done so at any point in the past ten months.
There is definitely more to this
I am making $89/hour working from home. I never thought that it was legitimate but my best friend is earning $10 thousand a month by working online, that was really surprising for me, she recommended me to try it. just try it out on the following website.

This is the first presidential election that I remember where both major party candidates stand out as liars and crooks. Thanks to the biased Democratic and Republican run debate commission, the same two cons, I mean candidates took the stage, blocking 3rd parties from equal exposure. The numbers registered as Independent has been consistently growing and the millennials out number boomers. We have a democratic system where we have the right and responsibility to elect into office candidates who we believe in. Our Constitution protects our democracy but it can't protect us from ourselves. Please wake up!
You can vote for either Hillary or for Donald but understand what you're getting. Hillary = manipulative lies, crony capitalism, and increased instability worldwide. Donald = liar, con, bigot, fascist, chauvinist pig, and now a whiner. No thank you, I'll vote for Johnson/Weld and I'll sleep well knowing that I didn't take part in corruption.
On experience, Johnson and Weld are the most qualified in working across party lines having been reelected Republican governors in Democratic leaning states. They have proven experience in balancing the budget, reducing taxes, and creating jobs. They support my views for term limits and military supremacy with a foreign policy based on defense.
Here's hoping that Clinton and Weiner were sexting each other explicit photos.
Here's also hoping that the pictures won't be made public.

They actually had to tell the writers to quit writing Biden stuff in early 2009. They had enough material by then to last 2 terms.
