Porter County, Indiana, Prosecutor Brian Gensel has fired deputy prosecutor Trista Hudson after it was revealed she withheld evidence in a child molestation case. The accused was acquitted after the judge found that Hudson had not informed the defense that one of the alleged victims had been told to lie about what happened. Hudson called that an "inadvertent mistake."

Here's what I never understand about these stories. Once you post sometimes picture in the news next to a headline like this, what further punishment is required? Your just wasting tax dollars after that.

We've got a case in these parts where two cops stand accused of running down a woodchuck with a golf cart during a police union-sponsored golf tournament.

Amazingly, the police chief has suggested they be fired if they actually did it. I'm waiting for the arrest, to see if their mug shots will be released to the media.

The neighborhood watch volunteer controversially cited Florida's "stand your ground" law to say that he had shot Martin in self-defense during a struggle.

Wrong. The "stand your ground" law had nothing to do with it, since Zimmerman was not in a position where he would have been able to retreat. I wonder what else the story got wrong?
