Thaddeus Russell vs. Michael Moynihan on Blowback: The Fifth Column Returns
Besides foreign policy, the quartet yaks about Kristolean futility, L.P. stripteases, America's new four-party system, and more. Â

Beloved Reason contributor Thaddeus Russell, one of the most interesting thinkers around, and beloved former Reason staffer Michael C. Moynihan, the fastest talker this side of the late Chick Hearn, do not see eye to eye on the conduct and interpretation of U.S. foreign policy. Or don't they? Find out by listening to the latest episode of The Fifth Column, your favorite podcast of "Analysis, Commentary, Sedition," featuring Kmele Foster, Moynihan, and me:

Kmele and DeRay McKesson would be a legitimately interesting discussion.
McKesson has reach and some limited striking ability, but Kmele has a tough jaw and a lower center of gravity and would take him to the ground immediately.
Also, we need to get Kmele on board with the LP. I'd be more than happy to come on and make the case.
I can only imagine how mind-numbingly boring it must be to talk about this stuff for a living. Although I suppose it doesn't top listening to this stuff on purpose. Sheesh.
LATE.
Moynihan is kind of an elitist. While he makes good points, he seems like a lame hang as he would probably sneer at shotgunning beers, shooting firearms and playing stump.
I don't even know what "playing stump" is. Poker?
it's pretty trashy.
....
....
For now let's just stick to the common-cultural-ground of shotgunning beers.... and 'agree-to-disagree' about the social-merits of...whatever the holy-yokel-fuck that was.
lol.
Idle Hands outed himself as a stump elitist. My goodness.
That was the best looking video I could find, the only truly classy way to play is in a parking lot surrounded by cars, with all the players wearing sandals and everyone involved intoxicated by at least twice the hosting states legal bac.
Oh, I am familiar with the game. I try not to tell anyone about that, though...
I'm extremely proud of my alma mater right now. But I never played that when I was there.
I assumed it was another one of those abstract euphemisms.
He drinks like he's from Southie, FWIW.
Way to shatter my perception of a person based on 10 weekly podcasts. Love the podcast by the way, it has quickly become one of my favorites.
"One of my favorites."
How dare you.
he would probably sneer at shotgunning beers
There are a lot of descriptions I could think of appling to Moynihan, but "sober" isn't one of them.
OK that makes a whole lot of sense dude.
