Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel brought a measure of accountability to the Chicago police force by firing superintendent Garry McCarthy.
The lamb has been officially sacrificed. Normal business can now resume.
Hello.
Rahm: Problem solved! Can we all go watch 'Mystery Diners' now?
Not exactly. The new hashtag is #1down2togo.
Ugh. Why won't Twitter let me link to a hashtag search results page??
Sexism, probably.
It's not Twitter's fault, it's Reason. Their software was written by someone who apparently learned everything about the web from w3schools. In utterly asinine fashion, the comment parser will replace URL escape sequences (percent-sign followed by two hex dgiits) in text. Because the pound/hash character has special meaning in URLs, it has to be escaped if it is meant to be passed on to the server. You have to outsmart reason by escaping the escape. Normally, # is escaped as %23 but to get Reason to not fuck with it you have to use %2523. And yes I had to escape the percent sign just to write this post.
Long story short, here is a working link
Too late
I prefer #1down2benin.
That's cute. They think pushing a few bureaucrats through a revolving door will solve their problems.
Did Rahm sacrifice a lamb or a ram?
It was a pig, I think.
A lion.
I'm not so sure, but the whole internet is joking about it.
Leave it to Soave to define down rape!
Are we going to get another article from Jezebel about how Soave is a rape denier and a terrible human being?
The bear got consent.
But was it enthusiastic and ongoing?
I just want to know if the bear said "Them panties, take em off!"
No, the bear said "GRAB IT'S LEG!!!"
Were there badgers involved?
And dwarves?
The poor bear. Won't anyone think of the bear?
So DiCaprio was raped by a bear? As opposed to a twink? And was the bear a power top?
Let's have Dennis Reynolds explain it............

Remember that CEO who cut his own pay and started paying everyone $70k? Yeah, so, there might be more to that story... (long, but worth reading)
Like, for example, he might have done it in response to a lawsuit from his brother, when he claims that his brother sued him after the announcement.
Also, his ex-wife has apparently accused him of serious physical abuse.
Wow, he's a regular James Deen!
It doesn't sound that sexy. But he may have a John Yoo fetish.
I read that was John Woo and I was working on a great "white doves" line. But you ruined it but writing John Yoo.
Well maybe it was the CEO's fault for waterboarding his wife.
I had to look that up.
Goodness, let's hope that isn't true.
At least he didn't torture her.
Boom.
Who hasn't wanted to punch, bodyslam, and/or waterboard their significant other at some point in time?
me
I guess you're not really in love then
Sure love that Jimmy Deen sausage...........
Back for #GivingTuesday, DPRK News!
"Supreme Leader Kim Jong-Un blasts meddling foreigners for wicked interference in internal affairs of of DPRK!"
Wow. Didn't see that coming. It's amazing how meddling foreigners have destroyed the economy of a completely closed society.
It's a handle run by Popehat. Maybe you know that. Sometimes I can't tell sarcasm.
Meh, it's a common enough (real) complaint by the Kims and/or their lackeys.
Plus it's hilarious. Whichever of the writers runs it did his homework to capture the style, so it's not totally inauthentic. Plus what you said.
Man those meddling foreigners are running some wicked interference on the DPRK today.
He's the "Gangnam Style" guy.
The AMERICA-HATER, you mean.
K-pop in general is awful.
In NYC I lived a few blocks from some kind of K Pop record label. Every so often the door would be completely covered in sticky notes. I never found out what that was about.
You might appreciate k-pop more if you limit yourself to the subreddit featuring suggestive/scandalous photos of female k-pop performers.
You have to like where Korean entertainment is going these days.
I resisted watching "Gangnam Style" for at least a year, maybe two years, but damn it, Psy is fantastic.
I agree. I like the silliness.
It's a stereotype.
Hey, sexy radies!!!
Lacist.
...a black student activist will be charged with creating a false public alarm.
Did he write something about a mulch-making apparatus?
It's a she, and normally I'm not one to comment. Dear god does she have a snowzer on her face. That picture is the exact opposite of flattering.
Oh she's also made the account with the threats during the rally, then went back to the rally to make everyone aware that they were going on. She's led a group against a professor in the past accusing him of racism, and none of her claims could be verified.
It's almost as if the various SJW movements are all led by crazy people...
Almost
Crazy but accurate.
So her schnoz is the least of her problems.
It crashed my computer. I'm not kidding.

"The Kean University threat against black students was a hoax; a black student activist will be charged with creating a false public alarm."
She started a dialogue!
"McKelvey, a former Kean student from Union Township, New Jersey, attended a Nov. 17 demonstration at the school to raise awareness about racism at U.S. colleges, prosecutors said. She is accused of sneaking away to a campus computer lab midway through the protest and posting messages on Twitter.
"I will shoot every black woman and male I see at Kean University," read one of the messages McKelvey is accused of posting on Twitter with the username @keanuagainstblk.
After sending the messages, McKelvey returned to the protest and "attempted to spread awareness of the threats she allegedly had just fabricated" prosecutors said. "
"Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel brought a measure of accountability to the Chicago police force by firing superintendent Garry McCarthy."
Citation fucking needed.
Hey, it's "a" measure.
A quantum of accountability.
I hope you got consent from the citation first.
Sacrificed to his idiot progressive electorate.
Phew.
Presenting: Carl and Playa's 18 Days of Star Wars: The Woodchipper Awakens
Day 1: Coolest dad ever built a 400-pound 'Star Wars' Death Star above his house
You can't use "coolest dad ever" and "Star Wars" in the same sentence.
I've found coolest dad ever to be code for generic pop-nerd parent. Some people are still shocked that people from their generation are parents now and doing things their generation enjoys instead of things their parent's generation enjoyed.
I'm the coolest dad ever. The title is earned by doing stuff for your kids, not yourself.
I built an awesome cardboard shantytown out of amazon boxes in the living room. The kids even slept in a for a few days until my wife made us get rid of it. And that's how you earn the title of lamest mom ever.
Maybe she objected to the trashcan fires and excrement strewn about
It gets really bad when the late afternoon sun hits diaper mountain.
But, the other moms would probably disagree with that assessment
So it turns out the wife rules Shanty-town.
The coolest dad ever would be getting hot depraved female identical twins for his son's 16th birthday.
"Coolest dad ever" cut off his son's hand with a light-saber and tortured his daughter?
The shirt I want to wear to opening night.
Saw one in the wild that was similar, but a mashup of Star Trek, Star Wars, and Firefly.
Here you go, linking again!
Seriously, though, are we going to have 18 while days of this?
I may miss a day here and there, or delay into LNL.
Wait until the "death star" crashes into the roof.
Buckminster Fuller would be proud.
I apologize for not posting as much as usual. Don't worry, I'm still here.
"On the reception and detection of pseudo-profound bullshit," was published in November in the journal Judgment and Decision Making.
To reach their conclusions, the authors conducted a series of studies in which they presented participants with sentences that had recognizable English syntax but were simply a series of randomly organized buzzwords. Examples of these pseudo-profound statements include "Hidden meaning transforms unparalleled abstract beauty," a totally meaningless sentence that appears to be profound because it uses buzzwords like "hidden" and "transforms" and "abstract" and "beauty."
http://www.forbes.com/sites/em.....-not-dung/
Something something Agile Cyborg.
Hidden meaning and abstract do go together. The statements aren't profound, but they do have some meaning even if unintentional, dull, and possibly wrong.
Agile isn't an intellectual, he is a poet. Is it possible to be wronger than you?
"Agile isn't an intellectual, he is a poet."
Simmer down Francis.
"Is it possible to be wronger than you?"
Only by not being me.
Peyton Manning, microagressor!
Microaggression does not have to be intentional. This Peyton Manning commercial for DirecTV includes "really high voice" Peyton singing "Camptown Races" in a barbershop quartet. To many viewers the scene is just silly fun. An African-American viewer would know that what's being performed is a minstrel song originally titled "Gwine to Run All Night, or De Camptown Races." In the original, blackface performers mocked slaves for saying "gwine" instead of "going," "dis" rather than "this" and so on. The song is historically significant ? college groups should perform it. But an African-American might wince on seeing this song in a Fortune 500 commercial (AT&T owns DirecTV), while a white American would be unlikely to have that reaction.
Minority students complaining on campuses today will be among the leaders of the nation in a couple of decades. Society needs to learn to respect their judgment.
Wait, NY Times? Not Salon or The Guardian?
Has the Old Grey Lady really fallen that far?
Really wasn't very far. Like falling off a dime.
An African-American viewer would know that what's being performed is a minstrel song originally titled "Gwine to Run All Night, or De Camptown Races."
I'd wager that very, very few African-Americans would know that at all.
But by tomorrow 50% of the population will claim everybody knows that.
Next day, "My Old Kentucky Home" will be replaced with... "Ebony and Ivory"?
What does Suwannee River get replaced with? Something by Flo Rida?
That man did have an obsession with the South.
Flo Rida definitely sounds appropriate (just going by name). They could go back to "Florida, My Florida" but it's not nearly as great as "Maryland, My Maryland"
I mean, everyone reads every cracked article, right?
If you really want to get into folk Music, particularly that of the South and Appalachia, Camptown Races is pretty tame. Or just ask your local African-American, they can certainly tell you more.
Well, surely they have been taught that everything is racist.
Cross-town buses run this way?/
Doo-dah, doo-dah.
doo dar doo dar - loony tunes
A tragic example of the daily, unforgivable violence forced upon POC throughout their entire lives.
"Minority students complaining on campuses today will be among the leaders of the nation in a couple of decades."
Add that to the list of reasons why I own lots of guns.
The Camptown ladies?
Some get a kick from coca-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-aine.
(tw: language, racial slurs, comedy)
"See, it's coming off."
Can you imagine the protests if they tried to make that movie today? Mel Brooks would have to go into hiding for the rest of his life.
I'm surprised it's still allowed to be shown.
An African-American viewer studies major would know that what's being performed is a minstrel song ...
No one else would know this. It's trivia.
Ummm...no. People who grew up in the old south know this.
Old people who grew up in the south maybe. Not anyone under 35 or so.
I'm in my late 30s. I only know if from seeing old Al Jolson videos.
I grew up in the South (deep) and I'm in my 40s and I never heard that shit before, but then again, who the hell knows the "history" of fucking Camptown Races or any other 19th century song?
I also didn't know "coon" was a racial slur until watching Forest Gump, so maybe I was sheltered.
You could fit a helluva long list of microaggressions on Peyton Frankenstein's forehead.
Peyton Manning is to be saluted for ruining fantasy football forever a couple of weeks ago. Five completions, 30 yards, four interceptions, one fumble. QB rating 0.0.
If I make fun of a black friend for using "ax'ed" instead of "asked"? Is that racist? Never mind.
Old Onion headline:
"African-American Neighborhood Terrorized by Ask Murderer"
Nice for the NY Times to let the mask slip like that. They WILL be our leaders, so we must submit to their judgment. Rather than them submitting to our judgment so that they can be accepted as our leaders.
In the original, blackface performers mocked slaves for saying "gwine" instead of "going," "dis" rather than "this" and so on.
This isn't even right. Some people tried to retain Negro dialect out of respect. For example, there was a big debate about this by some activists who were transcribing stories of slave escapes in the North. Some thought that inclusion of dialect would make the slaves seem stupid or feeble minded. Others felt keeping it preserved the authenticity of the story.
But these are the types of interesting and subtle debates that are never had when anyone getting offended can shut down any discussion.
The real beauty of this is it sets up South Park's season ending arc perfectly. The PC principal and Leslie are ads, which have to be PC, and push PC so that marketing appeals to the largest number of people, and are taking over and trying to change things.
Trump knows they can't afford that!
Taiwan has finally been recognized as a country?by ISIL
I love the money quote. Being nice to them has worked... never.
I was just going to comment on this.
Being "nice" to a religion is never going to win you points with ISIS. Never.
Ever.
But...this is IS being nice back to you...
I don't get it.
ISIL has nothing to lose from including them. China is no more or less likely to hurt them either way. Plus it gives them something to point to. Unlike those western powers they are willing to call a spade a spade and acknowledge and obviously independent country.
We should recognize both Chinas.
In other One-China Policy news, witness a wumao* debate the meaning of the word "acknowledge" and deny the use of equivocation in foreign affairs.
*Fifty-centers are usually more subtle than to use hammer and sickle avatars, so maybe he's just a pinko moron.
I support ISIS in recognizing Taiwan. Now if ISIS will get behind the free Tibet movement we'd have a good story.
I imagine that ISIS would be open to supporting the Free Tibet Movement as a cause allied with the Free Xinjiang Movement ... provided that Tibetian monasteries are converted to mosques, of course.
Retiring is hard when you're stupid:
Our sons' $189,000 student debt is delaying our retirement
The couple is currently paying $744 a month on their 24-year-old son Tim's roughly $129,000 of student loans.
Tim graduated from Rutgers University with a bachelor's degree in journalism and media studies. He's especially interested in a Hollywood career, but has found it hard to land a job there, though he's picked up some spots as an extra on TV shows. Tim is mostly trying to make ends meet by working as a waiter and bartender.
Oh jeez, don't get me started on this shit.
Won't you feel bad for them? Please?
Their other son, Sean, lives at home and is pursuing a second degree.
Assholes.
Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice, shame, shame on me!
This^^ right there smells exactly like justice.
How do they manage to find the most unsympathetic people for these pieces?
Did they call for student debt forgiveness? I'll bet they called for student debt forgiveness.
::reads article::
I'm pleasantly surprised!
::reads comments::
...Really, very pleasantly surprised!
God fucking damnit. Now I'm angry. $200,000 in college debt and he's working as a bartender.
At least this brat got an education that could sort-of-kind-of be used in the real fucking world, so I can't even make fun of him for his French Literature degree.
Go get a goddamned job at a newspaper for fuck's sake.
I will send my daughter to a re-education camp if she ever runs up $200,000 in debt and ends up doing something that has fuck all to do with that debt [and is paying $0 back on her debt].
lololol
Yeah that would be even less likely than making a living in Hollywood
Well, I see LOTS of internships available at newspapers. Is that not something you do while you're in college that might lead to an entry level newsroom job? Is there something magical about the newspaper industry that only hires the l33t of the l33t?
not a thing. The industry is hiring new people all the time. Journalism covers broadcasting, too, both on- and off-camera positions. He's instead pursuing a pipe dream he could have begun chasing without the debt.
If he wanted to write and make money he'd become a copywriter, not a journalist.
In-state tuition + room and board = $25K at Rutgers. I'm not mathy, so correct me if I'm wrong, but 25x4(years) = 100k. How do we get to nearly 200K at a state college?
Weed money?
ok. I see two kids, two loans.
Additional loans so he could have a "proper college experience". It's not fair if all his friends get to go on the ski trip but not him.
Yeah. This is so annoying. Most of Jersey's community colleges have matriculation agreements with the 4-year schools. So if they cared about keep cost low an alternative would've been 2 years at a CC for 9K per year then Rutgers, keeping the total cost to 70K. If he lived at home for the full 4 years they'd have saved an additional 20k on that. He could have gotten the same degree for 50K instead of 130k.
Because I was a dumb teenager and an even dumber twenty-something, I went to the local community college to pick up prereqs and polish my math credentials while working and preparing to apply to the school of engineering at the state university. If, at the end of it, I fail out and take a job tending bar, I suspect I'll be rather more solvent than our friend the aspiring actor. At least I picked up that much numeracy from my years on school.
unless you get the engineering degree and decide to pursue acting.
But I spent so much time here honing my surprise face....
FFS - he's *in LA* - have him stop by Reason and do some intern work or something. I bet he doesn't even have a blog or Youtube channel - cover local events yourself and post that shit.
Anything to get a foot in the door.
he's picked up some spots as an extra on TV shows. Tim is mostly trying to make ends meet by working as a waiter and bartender.
That's the cliche-est Hollywood cliche that has ever cliched.
We all know how that ends...
Are you havin' a laugh?
*points as RBS*
Is he havin' a laugh?
Bunch of heathens in here.
Nobody here watched Extras? Nobody?
+1 When the wind whistle blows
I did a lot of stupid things when I was a young man, but even I knew better than to co-sign a student loan for my kids.
Isn't Hollywood one of the places where they don't really care if actors (or even writers) have a college degree?
That's one thing I don't understand: it seems like many of these people bitching about student loan debt are the ones who got degrees in something like philosophy, music, art, and other stuff that does not require a degree.
It's not like you have to bust out a master's degree to impress the job interviewer at the big philosophy firm downtown.
Well I take it back... I understand it perfectly. They're just morons.
To pay a debt of 129k is a little more than a delay.
At $700 a month...
Assuming that's capital, at least roughly 15 years.
Ahem.
I keep telling you - New York City is a suburb of New Jersey. Specifically, New York city is the suburb where Jerseyites send assholes too goddamn obnoxiously retarded to be allowed to stay in Jersey. Donald Trump is proof of this.
I live in NYC and commute to NJ. I can assure you that NJ is the true land of assholes.
You're both right
Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel brought a measure of accountability to the Chicago police force by firing superintendent Garry McCarthy.
As much as I don't generally trust Emanuel, I have to say he's impressed me on a few points.
He publicly stated that the city government of Chicago wasn't an employment program (for a Democrat, that's a big step in my opinion) and he actually fired someone. I have this fantasy about being mayor and firing city officials whenever there's an accountability scandal like this one.
Just keep firing police chiefs until the problem gets solved. Seriously. If it doesn't get solved, keep firing them.
US = Deploying Mo'Boots, Better Boots, Elite-of-the-Elitest Boots, for Tactical Expediency and Shit
"The top U.S. military officer, Marine Corps General Joseph Dunford, said the new elite force would greatly accelerate the collection of intelligence, which "will make our operations much more effective." "
Not to suggest that actions to date have been "ineffective!" perish the thought. This is also not a change in strategy. They have said since day 1 they're keeping options open! also = Ash Carter says, This is just the beginning
For a minute, I thought that first link was going to be spam to a shoe site.
Oh, I fucked up the first link? Typical
here
Basically, our first "special forces" deployment of ~50 dudes (*whom i think were supposed to be entirely forward-air-controllers) last month is now being upped to Extra-Special Forces, who are actually going to be conducting raids, shoot people, etc..
""specialized expeditionary targeting force" was being carried out in coordination with Iraq's government and would aid Iraqi government security forces and Kurdish peshmerga forces.
"These special operators will over time be able to conduct raids, free hostages, gather intelligence and capture ISIL leaders," Carter told the U.S. House of Representatives Armed Services Committee, using an acronym for Islamic State.'
Oh, I didn't even click on the link. I just figured with the way you were going on and on about boots....
No Nancy Sinatra link, Ted?
Never knock boots
Perhaps we can send the Very Special Forces in their short plane.
Heard Obama say again about mass shootings, 'it just doesn't happen in other countries'.
He said it in Paris.
I'm trying to figure out what is wrong with this guy.
Politics is the mind-killer, and politicians lie.
The shooting wasn't perpetrated by a disturbed and probably racist white man, therefore it doesn't count. Or as Kerry might put it, it's not legitimate but at least the shooters had a rationale.

Ah, Andrew Dice Clay. An American legend.
He was actually quite good in a recent Woody Allen movie, the one starring Blanchett.
Blue Jasmine. Pretty good film.
Boy, for a nation supposedly filled with rape culture and widespread racism, it seems odd that so many rapes and hate crimes turn out to be hoaxes.
Do you think there's the remotest similarity between the % of reported hate crimes that are hoaxes and the % of reported rapes that are hoaxes?
And your hook for that is...a story about Leonardo diCaprio in a movie?
Jesus dude.
Perhaps he is referencing the Kean U. incident ... and not the Bear Rape?
i think the right way to say that is, "Rape Bear", not "Bear Rape"
No, I wasn't thinking of bears or rapes in general. I meant the Kean incident as the latest hate crime hoax, and the "Haven Monahan" incident (brought up here again today) regarding "rape culture on campus."
Jesus dude.
...?
if i mock nikki and no one gets it, is she still the worst?
Keanu was raped by a bear too?
This is how rumors start. First off, Keanu was raped by an giant muskrat. Which isn't even in the same genus as bears.
You mean like this?
It is not an uncommon phenomenon
Whoa.
He should have probably clarified that he was talking about the sort of rapes that end up in newspapers rather than the sort that end up in police reports. At least, I hope that's what he meant. I try to be charitable.
Idiot cop vs idiot (and racist) chief results in taxpayers losing $500k.

I especially hate how all these settlements result in the department not having to admit responsibility for any wrongdoing. It just means the next person they abuse will be treated like the first person they've ever abused.

Coppers caught holding down and kicking a suspect in May. One of them finally charged with third degree assault (a misdemeanor) six months later and is given a nice vacation for the holidays.

thank God for video. But still, third degree means no intent to injure. Who kicks someone without intent to injure?

"The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is deeply concerned about the increasing hostile, racist and inhuman rhetoric against refugees in general, and Muslim refugees in particular and we call on states and humanitarian agencies, civil society organizations and the media to abandon any racist speech and contribute to raising awareness and responsibility in order to provide the necessary protection for the displaced and refugees who fled the fire of unfair authorities and terrorist groups."
Daily Caller: The Muslim countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council that include Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and United Arab Emirates steadfastly refuse to accept any Syrian refugees. Amnesty International, USA (AIUSA) tells The Daily Caller News Foundation they have not accepted a single refugee since the armed Syrian conflict erupted years ago.
"The Gulf States have accepted zero refugees registered with the United Nations and administered through the U.N. resettlement program. They have accepted zero," Geoffrey Mock, the Syrian country coordinator for AIUSA, tells TheDCNF.
Saudi Arabia is one of the last places to use the word 'civil'.
But Arabs are good for this sort of bull shit.
We might actually start to make progress when every meeting of Congress ends with the Speaker of the House saying "Death to Saudi Arabia."
No one ever said Arabs were dumb.
How many Facebook liberals will re-post this without thinking too carefully about it being from the Saudis
All of them?

Wonder if the same result will happen as did the last time he was arrested for assaulting someone (and tampering with evidence). Just kidding, we know what will happen. Officer is currently on vacation.
Re: the Minneapolis BLM shooting incident
There was video released which shows the people who are charged with the shooting being mobbed by protesters.
Then there's video of witnesses at the scene describing the situation, saying that the shooters were assaulted and being chased by angry protesters when they fired back
the latter also point out that one of the people in the shooter's group was carrying a "Black Lives Matter" poster, but that all of them were wearing 'masks' and appeared to be filming people's faces, which agitated the protesters who believed they were 'white supremacists' trying to infiltrate their event.
Prosecution doesn't care. They were 4chan.
Well it seems the investigation and the video evidence aren't in contradiction, at least.
It seems like the protester's suspicions about the guys were correct. It doesn't change the fact that they were probably being assaulted by a mob when they started popping off rounds.
The investigation seems to spend a couple of paragraphs establishing details about these guy's 'views' and social-media activity, and almost nothing about the actual events surrounding the shooting itself. They include witness testimony from before the event, and the officer he called after the fact to turn himself in... but no one actually at the scene.
It barely matters. How much time has the media spent double checking their initial reporting on the biker shooting? They used it to push a narrative and moved on. This as close to real evidence of white supremacist backlash against BLM as they are going to get, and by god, they're going to use it.
""This as close to real evidence of white supremacist backlash against BLM as they are going to get, and by god, they're going to use it.""
Maybe. Maybe they've already accomplished that goal and will sweep it under the rug ASAP. Like Ahmed Mohammed... the actual details don't quite jibe with the headline-story, so the sooner the whole thing is off the front page, the better, it would seem.
The media are full of shit and anyone that takes what they say without a quantity of salt that would make Michael Bloomberg's head explode is a moron. Film at 11.
From the HuffPo piece
Despite the media scare stories, trigger warnings are not widely used by college professors across the country, according to a survey released in full on Tuesday. They're not even widely demanded by students. And when they are used, the warnings address both liberal and conservative concerns.
If I'm reading the survey correctly, 22.5% of those surveyed said students had requested trigger warnings or tried to make them required. 12% (possibly overlapping) said that students complained about their absence. So that is almost 1/4 of those surveyed. I'd call that fairly widespread.
And who cares if liberals and conservatives use them? Being bipartisan doesn't make it right.
regarding use of survey data...
...any time people start quoting opinion polls affirming a belief being 'widely shared' - as though this is somehow support for the credibility of the idea or its legitimacy...
...i tend to then note the number of people in America who believe in Creationism, 9/11 trutherness, that the CIA infected blacks with AIDS, etc.
usually its a surprisingly similar %
The Kean University threat against black students was a hoax; a black student activist will be charged with creating a false public alarm.
When was the last time one of these "hate crimes" on a college campus wasn't a hoax?
It's like you don't even remember the shitstika.

Thread Godwinned.
It's over, nothing to see here folks, just go on home.
By the way, our national debt rose a staggering $675 billion last month.
Which is really odd, when you consider that Block Yomomma's media minions tell us with a straight face that the deficit for this fiscal year is only around $430 billion. Why, it's almost like we're being lied to or something!
Doesn't the Federal fiscal year begin in September or October? Probably sorta telling the truth on a technicality.
The University of Missouri just e-mailed me soliciting a donation and spent 2 paragraphs bragging about their intellectual diversity. They pay a woman 60k a year to muscle student-journalists and write about twilight fan fiction.
I can't afford to donate enough woodchippers to fix the place, but how many is a good start?
One really big one.
Shit in a box would be cheaper.
Single FAE?
Buh-bye.
Buh-bye.
A bit off-topic, I spotted that article from the National Review who did the headline of Drudge Report.
I say give them all the axe for peets sake

No. It is possible that he is -- I don't know much about his politics / policies -- but "independently minded" is simply a reference to the fact that he ran as / is an independent.
Or doing life for trying to sling some heroin on the side, to get ahead of the interest payments
Probably just the heroin habit.
Moves back to state of origin, dreams crushed, works as a cog in the HR department of hometowns only remaining employer.
Maybe the heroin habit.
If you enjoy dark-comedy set in wartime, i highly recommend Simplicius Simplicissimus
There are other more-modern published translations (i think i may have read a different one than this), but its a matter of taste. If you like Don Quixote in its original-flavor, you'll love this.
The same version is available on Gutenberg which allows you to download it to reader-devices i think
It seems only the parents have interest in payments.
