Brickbat: Missing Footage
Chicago police erased 86 minutes of video taken from the security camera of a Burger King located 100 yards from where a cop shot a 17-year-old boy to death, according to the store's manager. Laquan McDonald was shot 16 times, nine in the back. The missing video runs from 9:13 to 10:39 p.m. McDonald was shot around 9:50 p.m. Police deny erasing the video.

Would you like fries with that footage?
McDonald. Burger King. It's a commercial war. That King is kind of creepy anyway.
None of this would have happened if fast food outlets paid their employees a living wage and were unionized. Right?
It's the Chicago way.
And nothing else happened.

I'm sure nothing else will happen. The cops will never be held accountable.
According to the new report the video wouldn't have caught the actual shooting but would have likely caught Mr. McDonald's initial activity in the Burger King parking lot and possibly his initial interactions with the police.
This makes me wonder what else was caught on video - 86 minutes seems a rather long time. Given that the officers were in the Burger King accessing the security system for approximately three hours I doubt that the footage which they (allegedly) deleted was purely random.
According to the news report....
Raise your hand if you saw this coming.
Still think body cams are the solution to cops?
"STOP! POLICE!"
*missing 18 minutes of footage*
".....AND HE CAME RIGHT AT ME!"
The famous 18? minute gap
I came hoping for a story on thigh gaps, I stayed for the unsurprising nut punch.
Part of a solution - as in Your cam "malfunctioned" equals you are lying, pig.
"The police deny" reality. Shocker.
If only the Chicago PD hadn't shat on their last shred of credibility decades ago, someone might believe them. Seriously, their groupies might accept that it was done, but even they won't belive it wasn't.
But a cop in redneck Texas pulled a gun!

And that you did.
