Caddyshack

The Pentagon has admitted shipping live anthrax spores to labs in as many as nine states and one foreign country. The labs were expecting to receive dead spores. The spores were shipped via a commercial carrier.

  2. Fist of Etiquette   10 years ago

Yeah it sucked when I accidentally bought that Anthrax Live album.

      *narrows gaze*

      1. straffinrun   10 years ago

narrowed gaze is first sign of exposure.

It starts with a slight fever and dryness of the throat. When the virus penetrates the red blood cells, the victim becomes dizzy, begins to experience an itchy rash, then the poison goes to work on the central nervous system, severe muscle spasms followed by the inevitable drooling.
At this point, the entire digestive system collapses accompanied by uncontrollable flatulence
Until finally, the poor bastard is reduced to a quivering wasted piece of jelly.

          1. Pathogen   10 years ago

Then, the Anthrax Live album is more dangerous than we previously thought..

          2. straffinrun   10 years ago

So you're saying my wife puts ground anthrax live albums in my dinner every night? I wake up feeling fine though.

          3. Libertarian   10 years ago

In other words, it's kinda like turning 50.

  3. Pathogen   10 years ago

Apparently, Canada and Australia are among those 9 states.. Oooops, indeed..

    1. Charles Easterly   10 years ago

"The states, according to a Pentagon statement, are California, Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, Arizona, Florida, Illinois, Ohio and North Carolina. The three countries are Australia, Canada and South Korea."

"Live samples of anthrax were shipped from a military lab to 51 other laboratories in 17 states, the District of Columbia and three foreign countries, Pentagon officials said Wednesday....

'We expect this number may rise,' Work said."

      1. Swiss Servator, Nierezeit!   10 years ago

"Hey everyone, look what DoD sent us!"

        1. Charles Easterly   10 years ago

Would you look at that? It's a Major Award from the DoD!

    2. Fist of Etiquette   10 years ago

It's an anthrax state of mind.

  4. Rufus J. Firefly   10 years ago

I have new idea for a candy.

    S'Pores.

    1. Libertarian   10 years ago

Sorry, you didn't meet the deadline

  5. Libertarian   10 years ago

Sent via "commercial carrier" eh? The progs will be blaming freemarket capitalism for this one.

    1. WTF   10 years ago

Any government failure will be blamed on free market capitalism, the solution to which is more government.

      1. sarcasmic   10 years ago

        It's called "progress."

  6. Scruffy Nerfherder   10 years ago

    Alt-text fail. C'mon people!

    1. Swiss Servator, Nierezeit!   10 years ago

      "Looks anthrax safe to me!"

      1. Charles Easterly   10 years ago

        It's a Baby Ruth! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OC1CDzpANp4

  7. Cdr Lytton   10 years ago

Now I'm wishing I finished my anthrax vaccine series. . . Nope. Still glad I didn't.
