WATCH: "CIA is Lying," Says Dem Senator

In a 48-minute speech to the Senate, likely his last, outgoing Sen. Mark Udall (D-Col.), who was defeated in last month's election, blasted President Obama and his White House for being untruthful about the CIA's use of torture and other interrogation practices. He called on the president to "purge" his administration of officials involved with approving, overseeing, and participating in CIA torture and demanded, as he's done before, that the CIA director, John Brennan, resign.
"Director Brennan and the CIA today are continuing to willfully provide inaccurate information and misrepresent the efficacy of torture," Udall said. "In other words, the CIA is lying."

OT: Someone just used the C-word on CNBC!
Communist?
Cosby?
Cromulent?
No, sillies, "Contagion!"
Paul. just used the C-word-word. Looks like I'll have to go to a C-word graduate (the one referenced in the next reason post) and sue his C-word-sucking mouth.
I love watching the Democrats turn on their fallen king. But its not like you can blame Obama. He's had the most transparent administration in history.
Let this be an object lesson to voters: if you want your politicians to speak the truth, vote them out of office.
Sigh... More likely they'll continue to lie to you but for more compensation.
Why not both?
all this after-the-fact preening and moralizing is too much. Not a single Senator or Congressman was unaware of what was going on. Very few actually spoke out.
This. Just needs to be repeated over and over. The Senate report is an effort by Congressional rats to avoid responsibility. They are washing their hands of a matter.
And a personal vendetta by that hack Dianne Feinstein to get revenge for alleged CIA spying on her. She had no issues with any of this until she perceived there was even a chance the watchful eye of big government was being turned on her.

Guy could have won if he went against the CIA and NSA during his campaign, instead of going all in on the War on Wimmenz.

Couldn't listen past the "my friends on the other side of the isle" bullshit. Not that I necessarily give more credence to republicans than democrats, but that the partisan crap seems too much like a diversion.
Ultimately, these congress-critters have allowed and encouraged the institutions that committed the crimes. They--including Udal--should be most humble and begging of the American voter's pardon for their work in enabling the system.
No pardon for senators who've found their voice after losing their seat.
