Louis Farrakhan: Ebola and AIDS are "race targeting weapons"

From Louis Farrakhan's official Twitter feed (hat tip: Mark Hemingway).

The link goes to an article in the Nation of Islam (NOI)'s Final Call by Farrakhan that alleges, among other things:

What is the method that they [the U.S. government] are going to use to depopulate? Through civil wars in which depleted uranium and Agent Orange are used. Currently, there are 39 states in America that have already been polluted by depleted uranium. Look at the target areas: El Salvador—what is there in El Salvador that America wants? It is oil. America already has a military base, embassy, and CIA operatives working to kill off the Indigenous population so that nobody can threaten their takeover of oil.

Another method is disease infection through bio-weapons such as Ebola and AIDS, which are race targeting weapons. There is a weapon that can be put in a room where there are Black and White people, and it will kill only the Black and spare the White, because it is a genotype weapon that is designed for your genes, for your race, for your kind.

Whole thing here.

Side note: El Salvador's oil production over the past 25 years at less than 6,000 barrels a day and it has zero proved reserves.

In 2010, Farrakhan asked members of NOI to embrace Scientology.

In 2007, The New York Times estimated NOI membership at around 50,000 and noted that the group

once enjoyed a near monopoly over interpreting Islam for black Americans, using the faith as a vehicle to promote black separatism.

But it now competes with sects that branched away, and with groups ascribing to the more traditional and inclusive Islam followed by millions of Muslim immigrants and their offspring….

The Nation holds, among other teachings, that the group's founder, W. Fard Muhammad, was the Mahdi, or savior, sent by God to Detroit around 1930 and that spaceships hovering above the earth will eventually play a major role in smiting sinners and rescuing the righteous.

If NOI is losing steam among the populations it historically has drawn from, such beliefs and their obvious conflict with reality play a huge role. At the same time, NOI is, like other forms of religious community, simply a casuality of the basic fact that everyone has more access to more lifestyle choices. In a discussion of the decline of religious cults in contemporary America yesterday, Peter Suderman noted,

Worries about the decline of cults are in some sense a form of nostalgia for an older order, with more clearly delineated lines between the mainstream and the fringe, with radicalism easy to recognize and define and, if necessary, shun. That those days are largely over (at least in the U.S.) isn't a sign that our culture has lost its capacity for lifestyle creativity, its desire for secret knowledge and methods. It's a sign that the creativity is happening elsewhere now, in the blur between the boundaries, in the scrambling of the systems, in the subculture collage.

I have a childhood friend who's in NOI. His Facebook posts are.... interesting.

Farrakhan is playing a character whose purpose is to make Sharpton and Jackson look sane and reasonable.

Back in the 90s, Tavis Smiley did a serious show about how the U.S. Government created AIDS.

Good to see someone is still carrying the 90s torch.

    "sent by God to Detroit"

That should have been a giveaway right there that God wasn't in the 'blessing' mood.

DEFINITELY the food. Holy fucking shit, there's not much worse than English "cuisine." It's more like dog shit on a plate than food.

So the NOI is really just Black Power Scientology?

    2. Alice Bowie   11 years ago

I am 50 years old and I am from NYC. I know a thing or two about AIDS.

It is a disease that impacts Homosexuals of all races and women of all races.

In the United States, Heterosexual men are pretty SAFE from AIDS. I KNOW THIS FOR A FACT AND EXPERIENCE.

My and hundreds of my hetrosexual friends have had unprotected sex with countless of women and have never contracted aids. My brother and best friends are both big playboys ande have had sex with hundreds of questionable latinas/blacks from the projects, ghetto , etc. and have never contracted AIDS.

To this date, when one of my friends, 16 yo son's come out of the closet, they are HIV + before the age 0f 20.

What I am saying is that someone probably tried to spread it among the blacks in africa.

      1. anon   11 years ago

I am 50 years old and I am from NYC. I know a thing or two about AIDS.

Some might say it's unfortunate that you don't have more first-hand experience.

        1. Alice Bowie   11 years ago

That is way below the belt.

Between 1980 and 85 i was between 15 and 20 living in washington heights. I had sex with two girls I know that had AIDS. I didn't know at the time, but i knew after. In 1998 my brother set me up with this pr girl that shoots heroin and actually died of AiDS years later. Again, I didn't know when I was fucking her.

I actually have 1st hand experience and many of my friends died of this.

          1. anon   11 years ago

To make it clear, I wish you died of AIDS.

            1. Florida Man   11 years ago

              I LOL'd bc I enjoy cruelty.

            2. Alice Bowie   11 years ago

I feel that is an awful thing to say to someone that is merely your political contrarian. I would never wish that on you or anyone.

Clearly, you've never seen someone suffer from this.

      2. anon   11 years ago

My and hundreds of my hetrosexual friends have had unprotected sex with countless of women and have never contracted aids.

        lol'd.

I don't know anyone that voted for Obama, but he's president! CONSPIRACYZ!

      3. Florida Man   11 years ago

Hmmm, who could be spreading AIDS in Africa. I've got it, boooooooooooodsdssssssshhhhhhhhhhh! Wait, isn't he the one that sent a bunch of money to Africa to fight aids. Never mind.

  10. Alice Bowie   11 years ago

You can all call me paranoid.

Nevertheless, a disease that conveniently kills NIGGERS and the FAGs just raises a flag with us liberals.

I'm not saying the the CIA , the KKK, the President, or the Free Masons did it. I don't believe in some international conspiracy. However, I don't doubt that a group of a few are behind this.

    1. anon   11 years ago

It's quite simple. You aren't paranoid, you're just retarded.

    2. Brandon   11 years ago

Are you saying you honestly think white people are immune to Ebola and straight people are immune to AIDS?

    3. Zeb   11 years ago

AIDS (untreated) seems to kill straight people quite well too. And it is mostly a historical accident that it was mostly a problem among gays when it first got to the US.

Sub-Saharan Africa, where Ebola is from is, oddly enough, full of black Africans.

      1. PapayaSF   11 years ago

Well, not really an "accident": gay male sex is much more likely to spread it, compared to heterosexual sex.

        1. John   11 years ago

It is just a question of numbers. HIV spreads pretty efficiently from the person ejaculating to the person receiving it. It does not however spread very well the other way. The chances of getting HIV if you are on the recieving end is around 1 in 25 from a single act of unprotected sex. If you are on the giving end it is about one in three hundred. This is why it never spread very much in the straight community. A bi sexual guy would get it and give it to a straight woman but then she would not spread it any further. Contrast HIV to something like chlamydia. A man has a one in FOUR chance of contracting chlamydia from an infected woman from a single act of unprotected sex. Thus chlamydia is endemic in certain communities and among sexually promiscuous swingers. HIV is not and never will be.

Since gay men can be both pitchers and catchers, HIV easily spread in the gay community where it didn't in the straight community.

          1. NYC Liberal   11 years ago

I agree 100%. It is harder for straight men to get HIV. May not be the case for Ebola.

The medical community keeps this fact on the hush hush in fear that men would never wear condoms if this fact was widely known.

            1. John   11 years ago

Ebola is a different ball of wax. It is not an STD. So being married or being straight isn't going to save you.

I am starting to get worried by Ebola. I don't trust the health experts to tell the truth if the truth is bad and they think doing so might cause a panic.

The party line seems to be that ebola is spread only by contract with bodily fluid and not through the air. What I wonder, however, is that if that is true, how has it spread so much? If it only spreads that way, telling everyone to wash their hands and such should have stopped it. But it hasn't. I have no idea what is going on but I am starting to wonder if it spreads a lot easier than the experts are letting on.

              1. NYC Liberal   11 years ago

My boss is an MD and her husband is as well. We are good Friends from India.

They feel that ebola is going to HIT US really bad. She seriously feels that we should re-consider this big-city living.

                1. John   11 years ago

I hope they are wrong but I honestly can't see why.

                2. straffinrun   11 years ago

So your boss and her husband, of which you are good friends with, feel that the US is going to get hit really *bad*.
                  Is that about right?

                3. CatoTheElder   11 years ago

I have friend who is an infection-control specialist with about 20 years experience in public health and 20 years experience in hospital infection control.

We often talk about epidemics, and she's never been given to hysterics over the latest MERS, SARS, H1N1 scare. Last weekend her prediction was a million cases in USA before Ebola subsides, but with a survival rate far higher than in Africa.

Now there's a case just five miles away. She did not change her forecast, but views it as just confirming her forecast.

                  1. CatoTheElder   11 years ago

FWIW, she is confident that CDC reports on mode of transmission are correct because they accord with the past reports in the infectious disease literature that she routinely reads.

Unlike a lot of nurses in the DFW area, she is not calling in sick, but reporting to work as usual though she really does not need the money at this point.

              2. John Titor (Formerly Jensen)   11 years ago

Well ebola can still be transmitted by semen even after a male has recovered. I think the WHO says that recovering males should avoid or practice safe sex for at least two months after.

              3. Zeb   11 years ago

How may have caught it in Africa now? If it spread by air, I would expect more people to have it by now since it seems to have gotten into big cities.

Basic sanitation should stop it, assuming that people listen and that sanitary facilities are available. Which may not be the case in some parts of Africa. Superstition and paranoia doesn't help either.

              4. Protagoronus   11 years ago

Ebola actually is an STD in a way. You can transmit sexually up to two months after being "cured."

            2. Bobarian (dinosaur hunter)   11 years ago

Vaginal sex is less likely to spread aids than anal sex as well.

The intestine gives nearly direct access to the blood system that the vagina does not.

        2. Zeb   11 years ago

Well, anal sex is more likely to spread it.

It is my understanding that in the US it is more heavily weighted towards gays because it first emerged here in gay communities and in other parts of the world it is not seen as so much of a gay thing.

          1. John   11 years ago

Well, anal sex is more likely to spread it.

Only from the giver to the reciever. Anal sex with an infected woman is only slightly more likely to spread to the man.

HIV really only spreads well one way. And it spread a lot in parts of the world where men had multiple wives and large numbers of sex partners. Yes, it will spread if you have large numbers of infected men out having unprotected sex with infected women. In a society like ours that is less promiscuous and more likely to use protection when we are, it doesn't spread very far in the straight community.

            1. PapayaSF   11 years ago

Also, AIDS spreads more easily when people also have other STDs, which is often the case in Africa.

    4. Idle Hands   11 years ago

      wow.

    5. John Titor (Formerly Jensen)   11 years ago

Then you are a complete moron who doesn't understand a thing about virology, pathology, or the history of ebola and HIV.

    6. John   11 years ago

You are not paranoid Alice, you are stupid and apparently oddly racist. What do you think, blacks and whites are different species of animal or something? Germs really don't give a fuck what color you are. If it kills black folks, it will kill everyone else.

      1. John Titor (Formerly Jensen)   11 years ago

16th century Alice: Yellow fever is a conspiracy by African witchcraft Satanists to kill off the white man!

    7. Florida Man   11 years ago

Yes the genius of releasing a virus that can be combated through safer sex practices is surely a way to target only specific ethnic groups and sexual orientations.
      /derp

    8. John   11 years ago

And there are a few million dead hemophiliacs on the phone who would like to speak with you about this claim that HIV only kills gays.

    9. Vulgar Madman   11 years ago

who needs a conspiracy when you have a good progressive program like eugenics?

    10. CatoTheElder   11 years ago

Despite its horrific history (Tuskegee scandal, eugenics, inter alia), I seriously doubt that the USG since 1970 would target these groups with disease. There was a rogue South African research group that was investigating the possibility of a race-specific strain of smallpox, but their project reportedly failed.

      Crack cocaine is another matter.

When I was in Japan I was invited to a lady's house for a tea ceremony. It was very beautiful and generous. Then she gave me literature about how the troops of Okinowa rape locals and nothing is done about it. Slightly awkward. I'm thinking to myself "what do you want me to do about it lady." Anyways I said thank you and left.
