Brickbat: Footloose

James Neisler says that officials at the Arapahoe County, Colorado, jail knew he had diabetes. When his feet swelled and his toes began to blister, he told them he needed medical attention. But he was just told to be patient. He continued to ask for help for several days but was denied. Only after other inmates began to complain about the smell did jailers take him to the hospital. By then his right foot was gangrenous, and doctors had to remove all five toes. He is now suing the jail and the company it hires to provide medical care.

An oversight committee investigated, but they were quite frankly stumped.
Surely it's toe early to tell
There was definitely malfeasance afoot.
Certainly more than a mere faux pas
The prison officials are already pedaling their lies in a cover up effort.
Coming up with all these puns was quite a feet.
Paging Dr. Scholls...Paging Dr. AScholls
How will the prison's laywers get them out of this toe jam?
Don't be such a heel.
You're ankling off in another direction, away from the digits, Fist. I have to put my foot down and demand you get back toe the subject at...hand.
Coming up with all these puns was quite a feet.
I find them rather pedestrian, at best.
They don't tow the lion, so to speak.
Those officials are now Neisler's arch enemies.
I guess the jail is going to have to foot the bill.
They can wreck my feet, but they can't ruin my sole.
That is what happens to arch criminals who get caught by the local flat foots.
He never metatarsal that he didn't like
the company it hires to provide medical car
So prisoner's get a car if they're getting medical treatment? I suppose taxpayers are footing the bill for this. That company better start toeing the lion or the state might cut them off from doing any further work.
OK, I think that's enough punishment for one morning.

Bonus Brickbat for Friday!
Sparkman Middle administrators kept jobs or were promoted after teen used as 'bait' raped in school bathroom
Oh, I just....
*facepalm*
The BASTARDS....you for posting it 🙂
Fuck!
"Despite the boy's history of violence and sexual harassment, [teachers aide June] Simpson told the 14-year-old victim, also a special needs student, to go into the bathroom with him so she could catch him harassing the girl. When she failed to follow the teens into the restroom, the boy sodomized the girl.
"Blair and the two assistant principals were named in the lawsuit because Simpson had told Dunaway about her plan beforehand."
"Simpson had told Dunaway about her plan beforehand."
"And we'd have gotten away with it, too, if hadn't been for those..."
Fornicating pre-teens?
OMG!!! Just...the inmates are definitely running the asylum.
If they told her to agree to have sex with him, exactly how were they going to punish him without punishing her? Did it not occur to anyone that their job is to PROTECT the mentally disabled girl, not get her raped and traumatized?
This is like an episode of Law & Order:SVU with a guest appearance by Barney Fife!
Well its a good thing prisoners get free universal health care.
What's a medical car?
