Border Patrol to Test Body Cameras

To see if it will reduce misconduct complaints

The head of the Border Patrol's parent agency says a test of body-worn cameras for agents will begin next month as part of an effort to improve accountability and transparency.

Customs and Border Protection Commissioner R. Gil Kerlikowske said Thursday the government has purchased a variety of cameras to be used at the Border Patrol academy in Artesia, New Mexico, starting Oct. 1.

  1. Yet another half assed effort to “defend” the border with Mexico. I’m not bashing the Border Patrol. These people have an almost hopeless task attempting to plug up a 2,000 mile border with Mexico. The real solution to prevent illegal immigration and the drug traffic, sex traffic, potential terrorism, and illegal arms coming up from south of our border is to seal-militarize the border. Nothing less will do. Everything else is nothing but talk and empty bullshit. Our U.S. Armed Forces can handle that job. It is an international border, and there is a threat to our security in progress to our country for quite some time now.

  2. I’d say the real solution is to end the War On Some Drugs, and to get realistic about allowing immigrants to come to the US for agricultural and service industry labor.

  3. my roomate’s ex-wife makes $65 hourly on the laptop . She has been without a job for 9 months but last month her paycheck was $16358 just working on the laptop for a few hours. have a peek at this site….
