Jobs Take a Beating From Obamacare Costs

Part time without benefits is the new normal

Businesses are cutting jobs due to ObamaCare, according to surveys by several regional Federal Reserve Banks.

Health economist John Goodman noted that "three Federal Reserve Banks in Philadelphia, New York and Atlanta have surveyed the folks in their area and roughly one fifth of the employers are saying they cut back on employment.

"Roughly one fifth are saying they're moving from full time to part time," Goodman added. "More than one in ten are saying they're doing more outsourcing - all this because of the new health care reform."

I have it on good authority that the markets do not reduce employment in response to increased costs from Obamacare (or min. wage). Some expert in the Obama administration said so, so it's unpossible.

We all know that incentives don't cause activity unless it is activity that the left prefers.
For instances high taxes don't mean businesses will avoid the area that has them, but giving tax breaks will encourage businesses to move in.

It had to do with US commercial sailors having real difficulty getting gigs. And it listed the union stipulations for US carriers.

I know what to do. Raise the minimum wage. Employers will then know that everyone can afford to buy all of their products, and they will then hire more folks to expand production. You go first, huh?
