Seven Weeks Later, Accused Rapist Oklahoma Trooper Arrested, on Pending Charges

Eric Roberts, an officer with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP), was accused of raping a woman he pulled over on July 22 in a federal lawsuit filed by the woman last month. The trooper was suspended with pay on July 24, when the OHP says it found out about the allegations. He was arrested today, but not yet formally charged. Fox 25 in Oklahoma City reports:
The woman was traveling with a friend and claims the trooper told her friend to go to a hotel while she was told to get in the trooper's squad car.
The woman says the trooper made her access porn on her phone so he could watch and took her to a secluded area and raped her, according to the lawsuit.
Charges pending against Roberts include 2nd degree rape, two counts each of of rape by instrumentation, kidnapping, indecent exposure, one count of forcible oral sodomy, and one count of sexual battery. The charges have not yet been filed against the OHP trooper.
The reason Roberts pulled the woman over? According to her complaint, she did not break any traffic laws but the officer said he smelled marijuana in the vehicle.

I think he smelled an opportunity to get his rape on. Scumbag.
While she was driving? Why do they even bother with the dogs, if cops themselves have such hyper-keen senses of smell?
So help me out you degenerates, WTF is oral sodomy?
You beat me to it by a few seconds...
Tongue into rectum I believe. It's rather nice to do on a consenting and giddy female.
Well I never heard it called that before, it sounds sort of silly.
Guess you can't write "rimjob" in the official report.
"Charges pending against Roberts include 2nd degree rape, two counts each of of rape by instrumentation, kidnapping, indecent exposure, one count of forcible salad tossing, and one count of sexual battery."
You don't rim lady starfish?
I don't know her, so I guess no.
Rimmer? I've never even met 'er!
I didn't know they had another term for "tongue jacking the shit box".
It's commonly referred to as a "blow job", or "head". You see, in the Bible Belt, anything other than penis in vagina is "sodomy".
What boggles me is why anyone would think it's ever a good idea to forcibly insert their penis into what is potentially a bacteria-infested bear-trap, or how anyone would allow it.
It seems like a simple statement like "You may beat me or even kill me but if you stick that in my mouth I will bite it off, and you'll either bleed to death, or you'll go to the hospital, where they'll certainly inquire as to why your dick has been bitten off. and you'll go to prison dick-less, forever." would sort of "take the steam" out of anyone with that idea.
I guess I sure am guilty of a lot of sodomy while living in that Bible Belt, ignorance of the law is no excuse.
Also, oral sodomy apparently does not involve a penis.
The term "oral sodomy" means contact between the mouth and the penis, the mouth and the vulva, or the mouth and the anus.
Interesting. It appears my rather bawdy sexuality is quite naive about repressive Southern sexual mores.
THIS IS WHAT DENTADAISTS ACTUALLY BELIEVE
Is "DENTADAISTS" even a real word? If someone believes that a human mouth has bacteria, and can sever a penis in one bite, does that make them a "DENTADAIST", or just a realist?
one count of forcible oral sodomy
WTF?
I wonder where she would be today had she resisted? In jail for felony assault on a rapist cop?
Probably dead and nothing else happened as opposed to alive and nothing else happened.
This pig will walk with a paid vacation, same as always.
DUE PROCESS.
The nut punches come fast and furious here at H&R.
How long until the nerve endings deaden completely? Been reading articles here for a year or so now and the nut punches seem only slightly less intense...
"The woman says the trooper made her access porn on her phone so he could watch and took her to a secluded area and raped her, according to the lawsuit"
i blame the internet.
but seriously, that's pretty demeaning. Not only do you need 'internet porn' to motivate you to rape someone, but seriously - you have to use her data plan to do it? Dude, not cool.
Apparently he couldn't get his tongue up her arse while driving, pr0n was the next best alternative at the time.
He didn't want the browser history on his phone, is my guess.

It's pretty impressive that he can smell pot from a moving car.
Look, officers are super trained to detect illegal stuff at amazing distances.
I mean how do you think they come up with those campaigns like 'drive drunk, get pulled over'?
Accusations like this is why we need a stronger police union.
It's just that the crazy anarchists around here are always trying to deny our heroes in blue the ability to do their job.
I mean, in this case, he was obviously looking for drugs up her arse, after all, he did smell marijuana, and we have to protect the children.
Cause, gawd noes, that where everyone keeps their drugs.
Where else are you supposed to keep it?
Eric Roberts sure has fallen a long way from getting an Academy Award nomination for Runaway Train.
Ever since his sister was in Pretty Woman, it's been all down hill.
I saw this quote from an earlier article published Aug 11th.
"We take any complaint of misconduct very seriously. When this complaint was received against Trooper Eric Roberts, I ordered an immediate investigation into the matter," Chief of Patrol Colonel Ricky Adams said. "I expect the completion of this investigation very soon. These allegations are especially disturbing and must be properly completed. Any type of conduct of the nature alleged will not be tolerated."
So... It takes a full month to do an "immediate" investigation on these "especially disturbing" allegations. I guess his definition of "very soon" is a lot different than mine. Also, it's good to know that they won't tolerate rape in their ranks. Of course he didn't say they would prosecute it.
I wonder how long it usually takes from receipt of a report of rape, that identifies the rapist, to the issuance of a warrant and an arrest.
I bet its a matter of days, not weeks.
Look how much less outrage there is for this than for Roger Goodell's handling of Ray Rice. That's the thing that really bothers me, and why I think so many of the people going off on Goodell really don't give a shit about violence against women.
Of course they don't. They merely seek to have override veto powers over every aspect of people's lives. If you upset them, they'd like to be able to take your basketball team or get you fired or whatever they choose.
Cops ARE the state. Having the state investigate itself and prosecute, or more often, not prosecute itself will never be very fulfilling. It certainly is a lousy way to uphold justice.
In the Rice case, given the mutual combat (albeit lopsided) and the victim's obvious nonchalance about it, the cops likely prosecuted it relatively fairly. Pressuring the NFL to punish him further, thereby punishing his victim as well is purely about flexing the muscles of the entities responsible.
Gee, leaving out the recent media campaign where they were telling us that the woman had charges pending for previous false claims of rape. Then the evidence of officer turning his camera off during said time frame and the "fluid" evidence came out leading to the arrest.
