They explained it to Obama by telling him he's now two over par.

Hello.
These videos are awful.
Perhaps Dorf's Golf Bible is more to your liking?

Germany has banned Uber across the whole country.
It used to be the unter that was banned.
Force Germany to get rid of you at gunpoint.
That's worked out well in the past?
There was a little war to disarm them.
(Don't mention the war....)
Oh man, I was trying to explain British libel law to a German friend last night and realized mid way through the story that the example I was using was the David Irving trial.
So embarrassing.
Was he offended?
I got a slightly raised eyebrow. You just never know with Germans though.
You and your friends sound a lot more interesting than me and mine. Our conversations are usually about cars and movies.
I don't remember what we were talking about that it came up. I made a joke about Americans being lawsuit happy, and then saying that it seemed to be spreading around the globe, but that Brits were so bad that foreigners would bring suits against each other under UK law.
It was actually the Fifth World War, you know.
Die Ironie
Jurors are now deliberating the fate of former Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell and his wife, charged with corruption and peddling his influence to a vitamin company executive.
So, either media talking head or lobbyist?
For misspelling "?ber/ueber"?
Because Uber doesn't use the umlaut?
Don't be so diacritical.
So no Uber alles Deutschland?
No, that's right out.
Not metal enough for an umlaut.
Motley Crumlaut agrees
We're here to make transport-for-hire metal. Blacker than the blackest black... times infinity.
That's is whats Ims talkings abouts.
Jurors are now deliberating the fate of former Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell and his wife, charged with corruption and peddling his influence...
And generally being terrible people, it would seem.
Detroit's bankruptcy trial kicks off today to determine whether the city's reorganizational plan is valid.
As long as judges get paid first?
Bankruptcy is federal court. One of the things the constitution explicitly gives the feds the power to regulate.
Sorry to piss all over your joke.
As long as judges the attorneys get paid first? FIFY.
The art will finally be sold so the judges can be paid.
Just make Detroit a tax free zone for the next 100 years. It'll surpass Hong Kong and Dubai as the wealthiest city in history long before the tax ban ends.

Weight is the new rape.
What. I am afraid to click (at work).
It is safe. It just pointing to the WAPO line that questioning a woman's weight is the same as raping her.
And if those male colleagues were Republicans, we would have already known their full names, any aliases or "street names", their age, height, weight, and home address.
That was the very first thing I thought as well.
It was Joe Biden, or maybe the ghost of Ted Kennedy.
Why don't people take feminists seriously?
That's a weighty question.
Hmm, breitbart? What a surprise from John.
And by the way, rape isn't funny. I was raped repeatedly by SoCons during my entire adolosence. Supra.

Rape's only funny if you're raping a clown.
Fitting that I lol'd at that.
These ISIS/ISIL/IS/WTF guys sure are assholes, even in comparison to the assholes we usually see in that part of the world.
Just start beheading any ISIS supporters you capture. They only do this kind of shit because they think we will never do it to them.
I don't think it would really scare them, and it would move the U.S. army in a more savage direction to demand our soldiers do it to them.
I am very skeptical that out-savaging savages will scare them into submission and not introduce savagery into our society.
Introduce?
We could outsource it to the Brits, maybe?
You know, relative to the mores of the times, the Romans initially were reluctant to use draconian tactics on the Jewish rebels in the region during their time there. It took several rebellions before they decided to go insane and kick the shit out of everyone. Which mostly worked.
I don't advocate doing anything of the kind, but I don't think we can say there's no utility to vicious oppression. It's just not the way we should behave, nor does it solve problems without creating new ones.
'Course the difference here is that the Romans were attempting to make the jews part of their empire.
Here, we're 'nationbuilding' or some dumbshit like that.
Still don't know why we don't walk away. Nothing we've done in that region in the last 10+ years has made things better.
There has been too much violence. Too much pain. But I have an honorable compromise. Just walk away.
Agreed. I don't think the violence is going to stop anytime soon, but Mk82s just ain't going to improve things.
Let them Kill each other and let God sort it out.
"Just walk away."

Don't make our soldiers do it, send our municipal peace officers.
Only they have the will. Our ?bermenchen.
The nice thing about our police is they will always triumph.
Just like the Black Knight.
What about things that really piss off Islamists? Like carrying/burying their bodies in pig skin?
Or, following from the above, sending pigs to fight them?
Soviets did something like this when Shiites abducted KGB diplomats back in the 80s. The Ruckies sent pieces of the hostage takers' relatives to the hostage takers. Hostages were quickly released, problem solved.

Yeah, somehow I'm not comfortable getting on board with modeling our conflict resolution strategies after the Soviet Union's.
Ye gods no.
Fewer innocent lives lost since we won't be bombing and droning everything that moves?
How do you think *we* retaliate? Its not going to be by sending in troops on snatch and wetwork jobs - its going to be by upping the drone missions.
And drawing more cartoons.
*Just start beheading any ISIS supporters you capture.*
Bah. I've said it before and will keep saying it: neutron bombs.
Worse than Nicole?
YES!!
How do you know? How many people has Nicole beheaded?
She beheaded me. I got better.
Is beheading what they call that these days?
Well, on the 8th day it's called a Bris.
Germany has banned Uber across the whole country. Uber faces huge fines should it try to defy the ban. How could they treat a company with a German name so badly?
No company with a German name could be an evil company.
It's just German for "The Bart The"
Glad to see that our uniquely qualified president continues to bring stability to America's relationship with the Muslim world.
And it is always reassuring to know the President gives a fuck when Americans are murdered abroad. I am pretty sure even the most idiotic "why do they hate us" isolationist would admit that the US government has a duty to protect American citizens abroad.
Even when the citizen in question voluntarily goes into a war zone?
From being murdered like this, yes. If he had been killed in a crossfire no.
Didn't the US Gov't tell Americans to get out of there?
A Warty in the wild sighting?: White substance spilled all over DeKalb community.
Neighbors in one DeKalb County community are upset about a big mess someone left behind.
A thick, white, substance that looks like spilled paint is getting on their cars but no one has claimed responsibility or cleaned it up.
"It's ugly and very distasteful," said neighbor Earnest Whitmore.

It's pretty clearly a riff on the Brezhnev/Honecker picture and is classier than most advertising.

I object to the term "execute" in the death of James Foley and Steven Sotloff.
These were murders, pure and simple.
Yes. They murdered them. There is a big fucking difference.
Yeah, "execute" implies punishment for a crime.
Well, crime implies breaking the law - which these guys did.
You may not like that, but the law's the law.
Yeah call it for what it is.
Murder.
I keep hearing conservatives demand Muslims in America speak out and condemn these acts.
Should they?
They won't. More concerned about potential hate speech cases and koran BBQs. And by they, I mean CAIR, et al.
For a second their I was wondering what it was about Korean BBQ's that had the muslims up in arms.
I don't think the pork belly is halal.
But what about pig asshole?
"?? ??"
For those of you that don't hangul that's "dwaeji makjang"
Hmm, the nice young lady described the taste as being pleasant but with a very chewy texture. I might be up for trying some after a few rounds of soju.
Yeah, but that's true of everything after a few rounds of soju.
They should.
Look, one can have all kinds of differing opinions as to what the appropriate response by the US government should be; whether people choosing to travel to war zones are forfeiting protection by the US Govt etc.
However, the deliberate, planned murder of kidnapped journalists, should be condemned by any civilized person regardless of whether or not one shares a religion with the savages doing the planned murder.
*However, the deliberate, planned murder of kidnapped journalists, should be condemned by any civilized person regardless of whether or not one shares a religion with the savages doing the planned murder.*
I'm not so sure. I think the world might be better off with LESS journalists.
I don't know, that's akin to demanding that all gun owners apologize for a mass shooting.
I don't think anyone is asking every single Muslim speak out against beheading of journalists.
I think what people are asking for is the equivalent of the NRA making a statement of condemnation after a mass shooting.
Seems pointless to me. Like every time a heinous.crime hits the news, politicians and their ilk climb over each other to get to a microphone to denounce it. Yeah, guys, we get it. Bad.stuff is bad. Nobody cares what you think about it.
I don't think the NRA ought to make any statement of condemnation unless it was one of their officers doing the mass shooting.
Holy fuck, we don't even assume people don't support this shit anymore, we need grandstanding and loyalty oaths now?
Nope. I agree. Its all pointless grandstanding. Gotta be sure everyone knows you don't support the murder of children.
I am just giving the idiots calling for this slightly more credit. They're not asking that every American Muslim do the grandstanding.
She's got a mission.
That can't be real.
Yeah, there is no way someone with those "views" would have that Kramer painting. I mean after all
Well that, but also her goals and views reek of troll and sarcasm.
She is a loathsome, offensive brute, yet I can't look away

I graduated in 02. My freshman year we made a Romeo & Juliet video with car chases, shotguns, burnouts, cross dressing, bags of oregano and a shootout with poorly-timed balloon-popping sound effects. I assume we would be expelled today.
Was that the one starring Leonardo DiCaprio?
There was an article here the other day about that. Or maybe it was at Free Range Parenting. One of the two.

Note the total unintentional irony of pointing out that "the majority of convicted sex offenders are white" in a story about how Pakistani sex offenders are not prosecuted.
Also, in what I assume is still a majority white country.

Ahem. Bavaria is the part of Germany that has a sense of humor. You're thinking of Prussia when you think German humorlessness.
Also Oktoberfest!

I hope Obama sends everyone involved in Lifetime's original programming to prison. Maximum-security prison.
The article mentioned that "Zack" dated each of the three female co-stars. One of the actresses was "Lark Voorhies", the black girl. I didn't recognize the name, so I looked it up.
In an interview with Voorhies in November 2012, Entertainment Tonight inquired about the People magazine article, in which her mother Tricia, who lives with Lark, claimed that Voorhies was bipolar.[14] Her former co-star Dustin Diamond said she would, "stare into space" and that "it wasn't the Lark I knew."[15] Voorhies responded to the accusations in a rambling statement with odd word phrasing.[16] Her book True Light is written with commas after almost every word.[17]
Somebody please tell me this is fake:
The Homophones Got Me A Record of a Recent Firing.
Nope. It's as real as a heart attack.
And I have to deal with students that come from these wackaloon, fly-by-night schools everyday, thinking that a semester at a language "school" that doesn't know what a homophone is has given them enough English language preparation to study in an American university.
First, I have to spend at least 6 months undoing the damage these morons have done, and then take a year getting the students to the point where they actually can sit in English speaking classes and follow along. That's a best-case scenario!
That's terrible. I'd like to know how this person doesn't know what a homophone is, and after looking it up was still upset.
It happens pretty often. Scott Adams had a letter from someone nearly fired from a gift card company whose name IIRC rhymes with "Mall Dark" over his use of the word "pedagogy" in a proposal regarding employee training.
They told the guy that they couldn't employ someone who thought the sexual abuse of children was not a big deal and that security would be escorting him off the premises.
IIRC he demanded they get a dictionary and look up the words they had a problem with. They unfired him, he quit as soon as he lined up another job, and the company issued a memo telling middle management not to use words that upper management didn't know - and that they should use the NY times as a guide ie words that didn't appear regularly in the times were verboten.
Dear god. I would have fired the upper management and replaced them with the at least semi-competent middle management.
Well, it's not like the guy runs a language schoo....wait.
I happen to have the Institute for International Education's report Open Doors 2013 on my desk. Out of the top 25 places of origin for students in these types of schools: number 1 is Saudi Arabia, 2 is China, 3 is South Korea, 4 is Japan, and 5 is Brazil. In only one of those languages can the prefix "homo" be found, much less be short-hand for "homosexual". And as for number 1, even if it were true, it would likely be a selling point. So what's this dude's problem?
Well, while we're on it...

Sorry, but this makes me laugh just a bit. It just sounds like a name from a Blackadder series.
HM truly is here to educate. Good on ya.
Oh, and you'll see that they got CEA accreditation, which was instituted by the government in 2010 (I think?), ostensibly to prevent these jokers from becoming F-1 Visa mills.
"Deutschland, Deutschland, unter alles?"
The real question regarding Germany fining Uber is -
How do you fine a company that does not have any assets within your borders?
What does the German government do if Uber simply ignores them?
While this is surely *inconceivable!* to most of their bureaucrats, there have to be more than a few who have sleepless nights worrying about the consequences of the citizenry simply ignoring their dictats.
Go after the drivers?

Gombrich's A Little History of the World is only $3, it predates political correctness (Saracens!) and reminds you how poorly educated Americans are when this was considered a history for children.
"If you weren't a Christian, or a Jew, or a close relative of the Emperor, life in the Roman empire could be peaceful and pleasant."
http://books.google.com/books?.....q=Gombrich A Little History of the World&f=false
reminds you how poorly educated Americans are now when this was considered a history for children.
Our public schools do such a terrible job of preparing children for the world as it is in the process of shaping them for how the educational bureaucrats wish it should be.
Boy who was victim of statutory rape must now pay child support to his rapist.
Feit said if the roles were reversed and the woman was the victim, the scenario would be unthinkable.
"The idea that a woman would have to send money to a man who raped her is absolutely off-the-charts ridiculous," he said. "It wouldn't be tolerated, and it shouldn't be tolerated."

You see, the feminists always leave out that the woman sold her sexuality and took something in exchange for it: The man's surplus labour.
And benefit from a man's surplus labour the wives of the past most surely did!
.
She benefited by no longer having to rely on the Communist lifestyle of the herd for her survival. When in need of protection she pushed the man out the door first to deal with the danger, rather than rely on the size of the herd, hoping it would hide her from harm when the weak stragglers get taken down by the wolves.
She benefited enormously by increasing the amount of labour available to her, giving her the ability to live in a wooden house with a real roof, rather than sharing a grass hut with a bunch of other women.
Women took something very real in exchange for selling their sexuality. They took a man's labour as their own, and they benefited from this in almost every way imaginable.
So did the children she mothered benefit a great deal, and so did society in general.
Remember all those beta males who were existing outside of the herd, living on the fringes of society? They were only exerting 20-30% of their potential labour to survive.
Once married and attached to their own children, these beta males were suddenly yoked like an ox and working at 100% capacity. This utilization of the full capacity of male labour is what pulled mankind into a civilization. It is what built our houses and planted our corn. It built our roads and our bridges. It created our literature and our art. It created, well, pretty much everything that we have. Men, women and children all obviously benefited from this.
Have a look around the room you are in.
Everything within it involving more than two moving parts was invented by a man.
Welcome to the Patriarchy! (Sometimes it is simply known as civilization, but also, occasionally, as fatherhood).
Thus, when you hear that "marriage is the foundational building block of society," you are hearing the exact truth. And society, or rather, advanced society, is based on the economic contract of marriage. The economic contract of marriage is based on property rights. Property rights are the basis for Capitalism, and Capitalism is the basis for an advanced society which upholds the ideals of individualism, personal responsibility and Liberty.
"Truth" as men know it does not exist in the same way for women. Women are "herd creatures" and thus women find "truth" or right and wrong through the consensus of the herd. It is what the herd believes is correct that women believe is "truth." Thus you see women are much more attuned to eternally changing notions such as fashion, or how they use social proofing ? the consensus of whom the herd finds a sexually desirable man ? to decide for their individual selves which man they find sexy. Men simply "know" what they find sexy in a mate, but women find men sexy because of other women's sexual preferences.
This is the most joyously misogynistic site I have yet seen.
The response from our chick teacher was exactly what you might expect:
"Don't tattle-tale on your classmates. Brad is just being a gentleman."
Deep inside my 3rd grade brain, I started to ponder. Gentleman. Hmmm? Gentleman? Let's think about this for a moment; a gentleman is what I'm supposed to be to my mother and my sisters? Wait a minute! My mother and my sisters are GIRLS! Is Brad letting them drink from the fountain twice as long as the rest of us because they're GIRLS?
Nah, that's just silly. Those girls are not his sisters or his mother, and girls are shit soccer players who don't think farts are funny. They're ok, but no boy in his right mind would go out of his way to be extra nice to them, so I must be way off base here. Or am I? I don't know. I'm confused.
I regret that my coauthors and I omitted statistically significant information in our 2004 article published in the journal Pediatrics. The omitted data suggested that African American males who received the MMR vaccine before age 36 months were at increased risk for autism. Decisions were made regarding which findings to report after the data were collected, and I believe that the final study protocol was not followed.
Now, where did I put that tinfoil hat?
And clearly it was vitally needed and used equipment.

Fuck. We paid for the fucking things to start with, and once they're done with 'em, they won't even sell them to us in one piece. But they'll give 'em to the cops. Assholes.
