This story is from May. The City Auditor and City Comptroller separately investigated and both say the money had been misreported:

an associate management analyst from the SDPD made a error while typing in financial data into an electronic version of the report.

Incompetence? A face-saving explanation for dodginess? Either way, the Brickbat isn't just old, it's been superseded by later reports. Chuck, would it kill you to google?

Chuck, would it kill you to google?

Don't pick on his Google allergy. It's not common but a few semi-professional journalists a year go into anaphalaxis from exposure to search engines. It's only slightly less lethal than Power Point Poisoning.

        Power Point Poisoning

Man, I had a terrible case of that last year. Felt like I would never get back to normal.

          Ever seen this?

Looks like the last presentation I was in with our reservoir engineers.

My "favorite" is the mixed transitions.

Ooh, will the next one just spin in, or use dissolving squares?!

One of the managers ended up resigning.

Or maybe they successfully negotiated with Dr. Evil.

      1. Swiss Servator, Bern baby Bern   11 years ago

So this should be a triumphant story of the city being saved!!!

  5. Lady Bertrum   11 years ago

How are cops gonna make any money if they have to account for seized drug money?

Why do you hate cops and their wives and children, Charles?

  6. userve32   11 years ago
