Michael Brown Shooting

Ferguson Cop Darren Wilson May Not Have Been Badly Injured by Michael Brown After All

Bad info? You don't say.

|

Earlier this week, Fox News reported that Darren Wilson, the Ferguson police officer who shot and killed 18-year-old unarmed Michael Brown, suffered a fractured eye socket following his confrontation with the teenager. The reporter, Hollie McKay, cited a "source close to the [police] department's top brass" as providing that information to the network.

However, on CNN Thursday, Don Lemon reported that Wilson did not suffer a fractured or broken eye socket and was rather treated at the hospital for swelling around his face and eyes.

  1. Don Lemon reported…

    Well I’m convinced.

    1. Lemon is a douche. Has anyone else noticed he’s gotten progressively blacker over the last week? Kind of like what the anti-Obama ads did when he first ran for Prez.

      1. Anything reported by CNN is highly suspect.

  2. Now the Washington Post is reporting that Wilson did, in fact, suffer
    a fractured eye socket.

“[A] family friend of the officer who fatally shot Brown came forward to offer a version of the incident with new details, saying that the officer suffered a fracture to his eye socket in a scuffle with the unarmed teenager before opening fire. Hospital X-rays of the injury have been taken and will be shared with a grand jury that is weighing evidence to determine whether Officer Darren Wilson should be charged in the shooting….”

    1. That particular “unarmed teenager” would scare the heck out of me if headed my way with an unfriendly demeanor.

      1. But if you had a taser or plenty of space between the two of you, at least you’d have options other than fighting or submitting.

  3. Don Lemon insinuates the shooting was not justified? Isn’t that evidence that it was?

    1. Don Lemon is riding the story of a lifetime for him. Because he’s black and only blacks can speak about the truth of this matter. God help us all.

    2. Lemon is a racist fool.

  4. Yo–police department-County police-DoJ-could you like, get on it, and release some information?

Because this back and forth of rumors is getting a bit annoying.

    1. Yeah, this should be one of the easier things to sort out about the whole situation.

  5. And all sources are merely hearsay up to this point due to HIPPA. Until the results of x-rays become public it is nothing more than speculation, and “sources” making shit up that helps their side of the story.

    1. Yes, we are hearing a whole lot of opinions and precious little verified facts.

    1. My best friend’s step-mother told my best friend to tell the Washington Compost that he DID, in fact, suffer a suborbital fracture.

  8. If Brown socked the cop in the eye & tried to take his gun (which is yet to be determined), the actual injury that the cop sustained is neither here nor there.

Use of lethal force is justified by the threat of serious bodily injury or death, the person defending themselves needn’t first sustain serious injury before resorting to deadly force.
