Boehner in 1996: I'd Rather Kill Myself Than Raise the Minimum Wage
Made the comment in interview with The Weekly Standard
Speaker John Boehner is so against raising the minimum wage that he once said he would rather commit suicide than vote for a "clean" increase.
The Ohio Republican and son of a barkeep has repeatedly opposed federally mandated hike increases, which have been a constant in the Democrats' election-year playbook.

He's been slowly committing career suicide for a while now, so I don't see this as out of the question for him.
This just begs for a good joke, as the Fist of Etiquette has intuited. I'm falling short here. Too bad he didn't raise the... It's best he... I'll assasinate him by persuading him to... Oh never mind. I'm no comedian, and this guy would upstage me anyhow.
