Missouri Execution on Track Despite Losing Drug, Governor Says
Oklahoma pharmacy will not supply pentobarbital
The state of Missouri is prepared to carry out next week's scheduled execution of a convicted Kansas City killer, Gov. Jay Nixon said Tuesday.
Nixon addressed the lethal injection issue the day after an Oklahoma pharmacy agreed not to supply the drug for the Feb. 26 execution of Michael Taylor, who was sentencing to death for the 1989 kidnapping, rape and killing of 15-year-old Ann Harrison.
