Bill de Blasio Pledges $3 Million to NYC Fashion Industry
Eat the rich, then clothe them
He's not known as a fashion plate — but Mayor de Blasio seemed at ease with the air-kissing crowd Thursday in his first public foray into the city's most glamorous industry.
Speaking on the first day of Fashion Week and flanked by designer Diane von Furstenberg and Theory founder Andrew Rosen, the mayor announced $3 million in grants directed at Big Apple fashion manufacturers.

Well, thank goodness the new Mayor is looking after the starving fashion industry manufacturers. AKA big donors.
Doesn't the fashion industry starve itself by choice?
If this really happens, then it would be a remarkable help to the fashion industry. Thanks to the people who not even from the fashion field, think for the benefit of this industry.
