    felony and misdemeanor indecent exposure

    How's that work?

    1. invisible furry hand   11 years ago

the misdemeanour is there as an alternative to the felony. The theory is that if the jury thinks felony is OTT it can still convict his naked ass of something, and not just acquit

      1. pan fried wylie   11 years ago

FYTW was too succinct an answer I guess.

        1. invisible furry hand   11 years ago

Dammit! I shall turn in my top hat, monocle and decoder ring immediately and wander the earth

      2. np   11 years ago

Or you can look at the misdemeanor as icing on the cake if you're the prosecutor/the state. In a different case, the former Bengals cheerleader teacher was successfully charged with both a felony and a misdemeanor.

In this case, he's lucky to only be facing a felony and misdemeanor. If he pulled that in two more years, he'd be a registered sex offender.

        1. Zeb   11 years ago

Oh, I think that felony woudl get you on the list in most states, minor or not.

  3. Fist of Etiquette   11 years ago

He was arrested and booked into juvenile detention on charges of indecent exposure, resisting arrest and providing a false name to police.

    THROW THE BOOK AT HIM.

    1. Radioactive   11 years ago

put some pants on him first, then throw the book at him...

    2. UnCivilServant   11 years ago

Since the paperwork reduction plan and electronic records implementation, the book no longer has any mass. We've thrown e-readers at people, but they just don't hurt as much as a big leather bound codex.

      1. SweatingGin   11 years ago

Don't quote me regulations! I co-chaired the committee that reviewed the recommendation to revise the color of the book that regulation's in.

        We kept it gray!

Guards! Bring me the forms I need to have him taken away!

    . . . providing a false name to police

When the hell did this become a crime? I'd like to see the ARS # on that one. I can understand them getting picky about it in booking but haven't they heard of this thing called an 'alias'?

    1. Agammamon   11 years ago

2005 Arizona Revised Statutes - Revised Statutes ?13-2907.01 False reporting to law enforcement agencies; classification

      A. It is unlawful for a person to knowingly make to a law enforcement agency of either this state or a political subdivision of this state a false, fraudulent or unfounded report or statement or to knowingly misrepresent a fact for the purpose of interfering with the orderly operation of a law enforcement agency or misleading a peace officer.

Maybe this is the actual charge.

      1. Agammamon   11 years ago

Nevermind, found it (ARS 13-2412). However, its iffy as to whether or not this applies to this case as the person has to be 'lawfully detained' *and* advised that it is unlawful to fail to identify when lawfully detained.

Being asked some questions isn't necessarily 'detained'.

      2. Ted S.   11 years ago

It's all a FYTW charge, of course.

Two little old nuns were sitting on a park bench, when suddenly a streaker ran past them.

One of the nuns had a stroke.

The other one couldn't reach that far.

We used to moon cars when we are on the school bus back in the day.

One guy decided it was a good idea to stick his weiner out of the window. A bit of a buzz kill but hey...good times.

    1. Suthenboy   11 years ago

Yep. Juvenile behavior that reasonable people used to laugh or scoff at is now felonious behavior that is to be aggressively prosecuted.

Had they done this 40 years ago 3/4 of the people I grew up with would have felonies and be unable to purchase or possess firea....hey! Wait a minute!

Our old swimming hole was about 100 yards from a heavily traveled highway bridge. No one ever thought anything of us skinny dipping.
One time a bunch of girls appeared on the bank opposite where are clothes were. They dared us to get out of the water. They giggled and invited us to cross to their side. When we started, they ran off.
Today I guess we'd all be in prison showers clutching our soap on a rope.

    1. Radioactive   11 years ago

is that what you'd be clutching? more likely it would be your ankles.

  9. AlmightyJB   11 years ago

    No gun for him.

  10. JeremyR   11 years ago

Didn't some kid get branded as a sex offender for doing this?
