NY Gov. Cuomo Declares State of Emergency Amid Winter Storm
Advising against travel
MONROE - Gov. Andrew Cuomo has declared a state of emergency in New York State due to the weather.
A winter storm hit the state early this morning, which started out as snow and has turned into sleet and rain in some areas.
Because of dangerous driving conditions, Cuomo says the 65-mile stretch of Interstate 84 in New York State has been closed to all traffic because of severe weather.
