Brickbat: Red All Over

Four Venezuelan newspapers have stopped publishing, and many others have been slashing pages or circulation because of a shortage of newsprint. The country imports almost all its newsprint, but publishers say that currency controls imposed by the government make it difficult to acquire the dollars they need to buy newsprint. They say the government is making it difficult for them because newspapers are the only part of the media still willing to criticize it.

Oh, don't have such a complex. The Venezuelan government is making it difficult for everyone.
That's not what Sean Penn told me. And he was in I Am Sam, so he knows what he's talking about
He's such a method actor he actually became retarded for that role, and then forgot how to stop.
This doesn't explain his marrying Madonna. YOUR LOGIC IS FLAWED!
obviously retarded long before that movie...
Shortage of toilet paper, shortage of newsprint, hmmm, I'm sensing a pattern here.
What are people going to use now?
there must be an app for that...
What are people going to use now?

Next up will be a shortage of big leafy plants. And then we'll have to send them money - to save the rain forest.
Never pick a fight with someone who buys ink by the barrel...unless you can dick with the currency enough that they can't afford it anymore.
I believe the saying goes: Never pick a fight with someone who can stop you from buying ink by the barrel.
I completely misread that the first time.
I suppose they could print now and collate it with the paper when they get it?
Progress!
They can't get newsprint, and they can't get alt-text, but they can still get Oreos.
RACIST!!!
TRUST DEMOCRACY
Venezuela is a shiny, happy fun land. That's what progressives keep telling me.
Too bad there isn't a system by which TOP.MEN could allocate society's scarce resources. It's just insane to use wood pulp to print news that's already out of date when it could be used instead to wipe the bums of Venezuela. The TOP.MEN could use this room for that purpose.
