New York Rep. Michael Grimm apologized Wednesday to a reporter he physically threatened after being asked about a federal investigation into his campaign finances.

"@repmichaelgrimm called to apologize. He said he 'overreacted. I accepted his apology," local NY1 reporter Michael Scotto said in a Tweet.
