Nancy Grace Warns: Hopped-Up Reefer Maniacs Are Strangling People, Killing Whole Families
Reefer Madness, 2014 edition.
Nancy Grace, the ethically challenged prosecutor turned journalistically challenged TV host, wants to warn you about the effects of smoking marijuana:
"The reason I'm against legalization is that I've seen too many felonies -- felonies -- and I don't mean pot sales or growing pot," [Nancy Grace] continued. "I mean people on pot that shoot each other, that stab each other, that strangle each other, that kill whole families -- wipe out a whole family."
"You sound like you're from the 1930s," [Mason] Tvert [of the Marijuana Policy Project] responded.
"No, no," Grace replied. "The first time -- there was this gorgeous lady standing in the middle of the courtroom crying, and I didn't understand what was going on. They said she was a stockbroker. She had got addicted to pot, ended up losing her job, wrecked her car, couldn't make her house payments on her house, so her husband got custody of the children, and now she has no house, no car, no family, nothing."
To see the entire exchange -- including the exaggerated air quotes that Grace makes while saying "Marijuana Policy Project" -- watch below:

That tale is lifted from EVERY COUNTRY SONG EVER SUNG.
Plagiarism!
Nuh uh. Sometimes the drug is alcohol.
Saddest country song ever - wife stays but the dog runs off with the pickup truck.
Sometimes? And let's not forget the scourge of gambling. We should ban it. And enforce the ban with proceeds from a state lottery.
Nuh uh. Sometimes country songs are pro pot. See Willie Nelson and see this.
The trend in country music now is overly self conscious rhapsodizing over 'the way we use to do things.'

Ugh.
She's lying. Everyone knows stockbrokers are coke heads, not stoners.

Why do people like this run their mouths without a shred of evidence to support the claims? Don't they realize they simply make fools of themselves?
Evidence??
LEADER OF POT-SMOKING "CHOOM GANG" BECOMES SERIAL CHILD-MURDERER =

You're good people, do you know that?
A little OT (and from a proggie) but kinda funny
https://medium.com/matt-bors/cef9d8fbfbe5
Self awareness contributed zilch to Nancy Grace's career, why would she embrace it now? It would be the ruin of her.
Nancy Grace is one of those people we would have to invent if the real one didn't exist. Sometimes, you have to see parody in action to appreciate it.
All that needs to happen to complete the parody is Nancy Grace getting busted for drug abuse.
Nancy starts her weekend with a few glasses of wine at the classy wine bar. Leaves to head home around 9, just slightly drifting in the lanes, nothing major.
Gets an angry call from her husband. Yells a little into the Bluetooth hands free of the car. Hangs up, angry, but suddenly sober and thirsty. Turns right into the first bar she sees, at a Holiday Inn.
The next few hours are a blur of cocktails, shots, and a gentleman's tattooed arms. Nancy is feeling a little wobbly, but is sure she is looking respectable, and being the life of the party, when the youth leans in (what did his face look like? All she can remember is the tattoos on his arms --flames, with a skull on the bicep..maybe he's a pitcher?)
The youth leans in close to her ear, saying something. All she catches is "you wanna smoke"
What was it? What was he asking her to smoke? To hell with it, she thinks to herself, and shouts out an enthusiastic "Yes!", and follow him out a side exit, holding into his shirt.
She has a husband?
That poor fuck.
This story is not actually about Nancy Grace, just a fictional person named Nancy. I have no idea about Ms. Grace's marital status.
From Ye Olde Wikipedia:
She also give birth to twins at the age of 47.
Cousin's now ex-wife had twins in her early/mid-forties.
Damn, there was a lot of crazy there.
Got screamed at, in November of 2012 (after the election) "why do you want to control my vagina?" because I didn't vote for Obama. Didn't vote, period.
(When I'm overly critical of the motives of progs? And complain about being screamed at? That's why)
"Not even he," *thumbs at cousin* ..."is interested in your rusty, dried up twat. What makes you think I am?"
I summon the spirit of Nutrasweet to finish this story.
Momentary inspiration, but I'm not sure I can finish it. I was thinking bath salts, though.
NutraSweet can take care of the jailhouse chapter and the rehab (she didn't really need it, it was what the prosecutor required to keep it quiet) novella.
...And now I have ideas for a rewrite with the Dutch guy who killed the girl in Aruba in it.
"Bb..salt" he mumbled, as they stepped into the alley. Her head was a little clearer with the cool night air... It must be after midnight... Maybe near closing time. She struggled to put the evening together. She had been angry, but it was nothing. After that a few drinks. She was sure she had had too many, but she could get herself back together... Her face hurt from smiling.
Glowing light. He was smoking something from a pipe! Shocked out of her thoughts, she fell back against the bricks all, trying to play it cool, like she was just leaning on it, she doubted it worked. But that glowing light. Just a dim orange glow like a cigarette, but with much more fun.
She didn't care what it was, didn't listen when he asked her if she wanted it, just grabbed the pipe, letting him light it again, sucking in the acrid smoke.
*cough*
The first rush hit, so much tingling on her arms, wrists.. Bringing her mind to the forefront. How great was this? So much excitement in the night! To feel so alive!
Suddenly so awake, not the sleepy, dragging pull of the drinks she had, this was something new. A long drag this time. Different. Still exciting, making her feel better, but not so sudden this time. She realized she was sobering up a little, at least enough to drive home. Just a little hazy.
At the same time, her mind was going in a thousand directions at once. Thinking about what she had to do tomorrow, the route to take home, what she had to do on Monday.
Wait... Was that a flash? Blue? Then red? Then back? Her mind was moving faster, but by the time she realized what the lights meant, they had a spotlight on her.... And her tattoo'ed companion had fled down the alley, knocking over trash cans and a bicycle as he went.
Leaving her holding a pipe as the officers got out of their cars.
If I had to guess Nancy's vice, I'd say she leaves deuces in public toilets for others to flush.
She *is* the parody version of himself Morton Downey Jr used to play in movies.
Bullshit anecdotal evidence is the most scientific evidence of all. Especially when you're really, really stoned.
And a bunch of pot-smoking lacrosse platers raped a stripper!
And they got away with it, too.
What does Maury Povitch think about pot?
He says "The results are in. In the case of 4-year-old Shaquina... Emile, you are NOT the father!"
And then the fat lady goes running out, howling in pain and pushing out producers and interns.
As a Darwinist/existentialist it bugs the living shit out of me that the "least fit" reproduce like that.
("least fit" = anyone who would appear on the Maury Povich Show.)
You need someone to work the fryers and vote Democrat religiously.
I keed, I keed.
If you were a Darwinist, idiot, you would realize what 'least fit' actually mean in this context.
Hint, its not 'I don't like the way these people behave'.
I know what the fuck I am talking about. It is one reason I am avidly pro-choice. I live in Georgia and see these fat state-fed cows blow scour that was once my taxes paid all the time. They couldn't survive in any world of justice much less reproduce in one.
blow scour that was once my taxes paid all the time.
Relax. Deep breaths. Have a drink or three, and sit down and watch Idiocracy. Calm.
The one thing I enjoyed about Idiocracy was laughing at Donna's ex-boyfriend.
Don't get me wrong, I love the movie. The introduction with Clevon and the family tree is great.
I just figured it would help Shriek calm down a little.
Just pretend like the tax money that was taken from you is being used to purchase their birth control through Medicaid and you'll feel all better.
Also, economic success != breeding success. You're even dumber when you explain yourself.
Birth control would be the best use of my tax money possible.
Birth control is widely available at affordable cost to anyone who chooses it right now.
If you really want the "undesirables" to not breed you will need to round them up and sterilize them.
It is a total myth that the number of teenage girls who are ignorant of birth control methods or the number of adult women who cannot afford contraception is anything but a trivial number.
That was directed at Palin's Buttplug.
Given that birth control is still the best use of tax dollars. I would like for the state to pay $1000 per sterilized female under 25 and use my taxes for it.
If you set up a non-profit to do that, taking donations rather than taxes, do you think you would get more opposition from Dems or Republicans?
Just asking.
Proggies have always been into the sterilization thing.
Birth control would be the best use of my tax money possible.
So you're not really opposed to welfare then. Oops.
Yes and you'd love to see her rounded up and sterilized by force as an "undesirable", wouldn't you?
I repeat 'If you really want the "undesirables" to not breed you will need to round them up and sterilize them'.
I'm sure you're willing for that to happen.
Again, my comment was directed at Palin's Buttplug.
I would like for the state to pay $1000 per sterilized female under 25 and use my taxes for it.
And so the liberal mask comes off and state enforced eugenics rears its ugly head.
Can't say I did not see this coming.
I know what the fuck I am talking about. It is one reason I am avidly pro-choice.
If you really knew what you were talking about you would know it is the pro-lifers who are the most fit and it is the pro-choicers who will not survive.
Ironic isn't it.
If you were a Darwinist, idiot, you would realize what 'least fit' actually mean in this context.
Hint, its not 'I don't like the way these people behave'.
"least fit" in this context means "has the fewest children", which would apply to PB, not the people he loathes and would like the government to sterilize.
FIFY
NO, no, no - this is Maury. She doesn't do that until the *sixth* guy that she's 'sure has to be the father' comes up negative and finally realizes that she's been humiliated on national tv the whole time.
At that point, they're just doing it to get the free vacation and show off their dance moves.
How 'bout a druggie story that (natch) got reported late on a Friday, involving politicos who somehow have charges dropped in spite of...
Oh, the hell with it:
"Charges were dismissed Friday against the wife of state Treasurer Bill Lockyer, who was charged with being high on methamphetamine and keeping drugs in the Orange County home she shared with her 9-year-old son.
A Superior Court judge threw out the charges against Nadia Lockyer at the request of prosecutors,..."
Bill's in his 70s, got a coked-up honey for a 'new' wife, been termed out of one place at the trough after the other. So the prosecutor needed some 'favors'?
http://www.sfgate.com/news/cri.....153729.php
he was proud of the progress she had made in drug treatment
a former lover she met in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation program
He's proud that she picked up a fuckbuddy in rehab? I guess it takes all kinds ...
Nadia Lockyer on drugs? I can't believe it!
Yep, if that ain't coked-up, I never saw it.
Notice from the story that she's "president of the Santa Ana school board.". I presume Bill was tugging on strings left and (not really) right to get her a job where she can't get fired.
She looks fun.
In a "wake up and find her carving her name in your chest" kind of way.
Its all the Rethuglicans fault.
How does this cunt have a following large enough to stay on the air?
Attitude sells; bad attitude sells better.
She is experiencing hubris today. But like with the insufferable 'Dr. Laura' it will end soon.
Gawd bless Larry Flynt for publishing the wide-open beaver shots of a young Dr. Laura.
Flynt is a true American hero just for his epic takedown of Jerry Falwell and Dr. Laura - not to mention the many others.
Jesus, Jerry Falwell... that's a name I've not heard in a long time.
Falwell butt raped our very own PB as a child, and PB liked it. He's just jealous that no one butt rapes him these days.
No, Falwell is one of your kind (or Team if you prefer).
Yeah, Falwell always was a hardcore libertarian.
Hyperion votes GOP.
Really? Do you have links?
Given the alternative, can you blame him?
Hyperion votes GOP.
You vote Democrat and still call yourself a libertarian.
Have you been introduced to kettle?
hyperion and shrike,
May I be the first to say Simmons could not write his way out of a wet paper bag.
Falwell always was a hardcore libertarian.
Aren't conservatives and Libertarians the same?
Survey of ButtHeads everywhere show that they can't tell the difference.
Aren't you the one from Maine? I am sure you said you voted for LePage.
Aren't you the one from Maine? I am sure you said you voted for LePage
Yeah, I'm the one from Boston, Maine. You ever been downey ocean, hon?, you geographically challenged ignorant dumbfuck.
No, Hy, libertarians are different from conservatives in that we smoke pot. And murder people. It's true, you know, I've never murdered a family without being high.
It's true, you know, I've never murdered a family without being high.
You are not a true libertarian.
A real champion of liberty would murder a family to get high.
Never underestimate the sheer number of stay-at-home women who are scared of their own shadow and who believe that rapists and predators hide in every shadow and that hundreds of children are kidnapped every day, usually by sexual predators. They adore Nancy Grace and hang on every word she says.
First of all, I love Nancys tragic story of the poor woman who lost everything, including her children to the demon pot. Poor victim, she was. Now if it was the husband, he would have got what he deserved by being on the demon weed, right?
I was listening to a conversation today that I wish I would have been a part of. I might have even chimed in had a been nearer to the 2. But anyway, they were apparently discussing pot legalization in CO, and the one guy made this argument. 'Well, they say crime could go down because now that pot is legal, the cartels are out of business. But I say non-sense. Now that it's legal, more people are going to try it, so of course, crime will only go up!' Other guy was like 'huh, yeah I guess that makes sense'.
I really feel sick that I am part of the same species as those two fucking morons.
Okay, let's give Ms. Grace the benefit of the doubt and say that her "pot addict" story is real. Why is that a reason to keep pot illegal?
In fact, can't you make the argument that keeping it illegal aggravated this pot addict's travesty by making it more expensive/dangerous to obtain, ostracizing her for doing something illegal, and making it difficult to seek proper treatment, etc.?
You're attempting to apply logic. Give up now.
I thought she was all about disappeared white women or white people who murdered their kids type shit?
I think she's about causing her significant others to chew on the wrong end of a shotgun. If I were married to that immoral bitch, I would have offed myself years ago.
There's this better solution named divorce. Of course, that can suck too, seeing as how the courts discriminate against men. But it's still always gonna be better than offing yourself. Especially since you are then free to do as many hot milfs as you want.
TOT MOM!!!!!
According to Credit Suisse, the United States is expected to have 16.9 million millionaires by 2017. (Millionaires are defined as those with total assets minus debts of more than $1 million). That would mark a 53 percent increase from America's 11 million millionaires today.
http://www.cnbc.com/id/4941922.....es_By_2017
The US has added 1.1 million new millionaires since Barack Obama was elected president in 2008, according to a new survey of high-net-worth individuals.
http://www.theguardian.com/bus.....ires-obama
Wealth creation since 2009 has been staggering. Expect a lot more on the way, Peanuts.
Cronyism has it's reward, eh comrade? How's that middle class thing going, professor?
Yes, the country has grown so prosperous that there are 18 million more people on food stamps now than in 2009.
Be gone you cymbal-banging monkey!
He's the saddest of the sad tribe of cymbal-banging Obama arse licking monkeys.
Please. There is basically NO correlation between the number of people on food stamps and the number of people who would ego hungry. The tripling of the rolls since 2004 has been driven primarily by -- now, steel yourself, this will be a stunner -- politics. Observe (and measure) consumption amount the "poor" and you will find they spend more than their stated (and "state-ed") income, often double. Yes, there are some truly hungry and needy people. I help them. Don't you? How to vet them, though, that's the problem. Well, I trust my own judgement on that, and a few other people's -- but not Da Guvmint. Cut out the middleman.

OMG!! THE STOCK MARKET WENT UP AND OBAMA WAS PRESIDENT AT SAME TIME! I GUESS HE IS TEH GREATEST CAPITALIST EVERS AND MAKES WONDERFUL THINGS HAPPEN ECONOMICALLY AND FINANCIALLY AND FISCALLY AND MONEY AND MILLIONS!!
Also AL GORE INVENTED INTERNETS.
Yeah, shithead, "WEALTH CREATION SINCE 2009~!!!! TARP!!! HE CREATES THE JOBS!!"
uh, no, shithead. He became president during a market crash. it has since recovered. This is known as 'reversion to the mean' and has zero relationship whatsoever with any policy of your Dear Leader. I know things like, "Correlation /= Causation" are confusing for you. You can have my Tiger-Repellant-Rock in the meantime.
Things like, "lowest employment participation rate since the 1970s" however.... data like that are in fact directly connected to Obama policies.
The fact that there are more "millionaires" is possibly the dumbest fucking 'statistic' you have ever trotted out in a long history of saying Really Stupid Shit. Bravo.
But the stupid fucking preppers, goldbugs, and ammo collectors were telling us the USA was doomed.
Instead we are creating wealth at a record pace.
Record pace? You and Tony both need to learn how to count.
What is the NPV of all of our entitlements? How much wealth do we need to pay for it? Here's a hint: we don't have enough.
It thinks printing money is creating wealth.
Whistling past the graveyard during the latest Fed created bubble. Typical monetarist clown.
You give shreeek wayyyyyy too much credit. To call him a monetarist clown would imply that he had a working knowledge of economics or monetary policy. He gets his copypasta from somebody marginally smarter than him at Democratic Underground and then shits it all over the internet hoping enough people will step in it without noticing the smell.
I just love it how, in the fifth year of a shitty economy under a Democrat president, Team Blue hacks will trumpet the stock market and the number of millionaires(!) as proof that the economy is doing fine. Can you imagine the shitstorm if the party IDs were switched? "Sure, there's record high unemployment and more poverty, but under President Romney stocks are high and there are more millionaires!"
Exactly.
no doubt the next words out of his vomit-hole will be weepings about Rapidly Rising Inequality in Obama's Nascent Utopia.
And I'm sure the Fed-Engineered asset inflation program is something PB will take 'credit' for, until of course it ends, at which point any subsequent revaluations will be the fault of 'short-sellers and speculations which need to be regulated!'
Instead we are creating wealth at a record pace.
And all at the low low price of 7 trillion dollars of crippling debt.
https://www.census.gov/people/wealth/files/Wealth Highlights 2011.pdf
Staggering wealth creation indeed.
Besides the other problems pointed out above, I thought your kind thought that being rich is a bad thing.
"My kind"? Capitalists? Do you get everything backward?
Progressives.
I am a liberal, not a progressive.
I know that freaks you black/white, evil/good, TEAM RED/BLUE simpletons out.
Hmm, let's see. You don't believe in freedom of association, freedom of speech, the right to bear arms, or free markets based on your defense of every single regulation proposed/passed by Obama.
And liberal == progressive. Classical liberal == libertarian. So yes, you are a liberal.
Just because he sycophantically licks the boots of a party, a president, and legislators whose rhetoric and actual legislation is in vigorous defiance of every principle he ostensibly holds doesn't mean he's a mendacious partisan hack!
Liar.
I thought you were a libertarian?
You're an ass licking team boy. Fuck off, now.
Only 94% of one.
So wait, does that mean inequality is increasing or decreasing?
Why should I care?
Eventually the market distributes wealth in proportion to contribution.
Because you're a liberal and all liberal really care about is making drama over how the rich are getting richer.
The problem is that that a million bucks now has the purchasing power of threefitty just a few years ago.
Godamlochnessmonster
Wealth creation since 2009 has been staggering.
Staggeringly low.
I wish progressives would get their stories straight. On one hand, they lament about economic inequality, and the need to confiscate wealth from the evil 1% for redistribution. But then PB brags about how Obama has created more millionaires as though Obama's crony crapitalism is a good thing.
If Obama's policies cause more millionaires, then those policies are causing more economic inequality. Certainly crony capitalism creates lots of new millionaires among faithful partisans, crony crapitalists, and the Beltway bandits. And certainly Obama has expanded the underclass of unemployment insurance, welfare, and food stamp recipients. So, yes, his policies do create more economic inequality.
If I thought Obama were competent, I'd say that he's following Marx's dialectic argument that 'evil is good' and Plekhanov's and Lenin's understanding that 'the worse the better'. But I doubt that Obama has a serious understanding of Lenin and Marx. He is a Saul Alynsky community organizer who was clever enough to manage to get elected President. Which is no ordinary accomplishment, but hardly indicative of revolutionary competence.
My roommate has a guy over talking about the inventor of AIDS, who apparently also invented ebola, evidently while attempting to "make cancers" that would target the immune system, all during a "race war" between the Russians and Americans to control population. His other friend chimes in, denigrating the government for all its evils.
Suddenly I realize why libertarianism is only ever an uphill battle.
Mention the Federal Reserve to really stir the CT nuts up.
I've got a copy of Creature for Jekyll Island I could lend out.
To think that Ron Paul read that trash and based his criticism of the Fed on it just destroys any credibility he never really had.
Griffin is truly batshit crazy and helped libertarians earn the same reputation with his laetrile "cures" and Noah's Ark finds.
Palin's Buttplug|1.17.14 @ 9:33PM|#
"Mention the Federal Reserve to really stir the CT nuts up."
Mention Bush and shreek goes nuts up.
Go fuck you daddy.
You're stoned, right? Tell me you're all stoned.
Bunch of druggy burnouts, so I'm sure it'll come out. So far it's just (my) tequila and (my) gin.
Shoulda known better than to hide it in the freezer.
The freezer isn't hiding it, dude. Yes, you should have known better. Make sure they share their weed with you.
Hah, in my college/roommate days no one would touch gin (even me)
Whiskey, vodka, rum, occasionally tequila. Only beer I hid was Guinness.
I drank gin through part of my college career, but I liked being considered eccentric.
Hipster.
PB dreams of the day when all of us can be thrown into the gulag for insulting his master, online.
When Obama gave his recent totally dishonest NSA speech, PB had several ejaculations all over the Obama statue in his living space.
He mostly fantasized about his master killing women and children at wedding parties.
His speech was not dishonest at all. It was quite forthcoming in his tepid rollback of the Bush spying programs.
(the key word is "tepid" which I am sure you will overlook)
The fact that you think that it's going to be any kind of rollback at all says a lot.
Hahahahhhahhaa! Ass licker!
Look, Obama is no libertarian at all but he is clearly better than the Bushpigs were.
Now that is feint praise for sure but it is all I have ever claimed.
Is feint praise a form of misdirection?
Is feint praise a form of misdirection?
I guess it would be more like praise of misdirection. One would presume he meant "faint praise".
SF'd the link: http://www.thefreedictionary.com/feint
Better because he wants even bigger government? Because he pissed away nearly $1TT in "stimulus?" Because he wants even more taxation? Because he gave us the biggest expansion of welfare since Medicare? Because he got us out of Iraq (after he was forced to by the Iraqi's using Bush's SOF)? Because he "reformed" the NSA only after it was exposed? Because he expanded drone strikes? Because his EPA is determined to de-industrialize us? Because there can never be enough green cronyism?
He has done everything that Bush did before him but with even more socialism.
More debt, more laws, more taxes- oh yes, this is much better than what we had before.
Palin's Buttplug|1.17.14 @ 9:56PM|#
"Look, Obama is no libertarian at all but he is clearly better than the Bushpigs were."
Lies, dipshit. Did either of the Bush folks nationalize the auto industry and turn over the bondholders' property to the UAW?
Go fuck your daddy, shitpile.
Aside from the time you told us that everything Obama does is astute.
Yes, it's totally the fault of Bush that things have grown even worse under Obama.
There is basically no difference between Bush and Obama. Everyone knows that except for team morons, like you. It's just a matter of progression, it doesn't matter who the puppet is, it's the same agenda. Gawd, you are stoopeed.
You must be using some new definition of "clearly better" that no speaker of the English language is aware of.
-jcr
"Look, Obama is no libertarian at all but he is clearly better than the Bushpigs were."
So PB, basically your argument is that its better to have Obama shove a pineapple up my ass than to have Bush shove a pineapple up my ass.
Weak troll is weak.
Everything Bush was derided for, Obama has done -- except Obama seems to be out to one-up Bush and do it all a little more wrongly.
How is that better?
This week has sucked.
My grandfather died on Tuesday. My grandmother is 84, has never worked, and can't drive. Guess she'll have to move in with my mom.
This country continues to go down the tubes.
And this tonight. My brain tried to escape after watching that video. And then clicked to the linked Raw Story article, read the comments, and I have a strong urge to go bash my head against the wall for an hour or so.
But I'm going to go get drunk on vodka instead.
Sorry, broseph. My condolences.
Cheers to that, Andrew.
I'm sorry to hear about your grandfather.
Sorry for the loss.

Whew! I'm glad I got that off my chest! By the way, that Federal Government, right? What a lovely institution!
OT: Listened to the Let's Talk Bitcoin podcast interview Rep Stockman. Very interesting interview, Stockman at a Bitcoin meetup in NYC on New Year's Eve. Everything he had to say was as Laissez Faire as a sitting Rep/Senate Candidate could say (maybe a little bit more than they should say).
It's funny -- in the 90's, we had the odd combination of Kerry and Ashcroft against internet regulation (among others, but they were two of the biggies from their parties.) If Stockman gets the senate seat, that could be really good. The Dem Senator that held the hearings might be another anti-regulation party (might).
Bonus points for the conniptions that Stockman causes with gun raffles/etc.
Anti-prohibitionists having an opponent in Nancy Grace have been granted Voltaire's prayer:
"I have never made but one prayer to God, a very short one: 'O Lord make my enemies ridiculous.' And God granted it."
"There are definitely people jumping ship," the operative said, noting that confidence in Christie's electability has dropped off sharply among the donors he's heard from.
And yet, without a clear, top-tier establishment alternative to hitch their wagon to, many donors are left with a menu of less-than-ideal options, ranging from right-wing firebrands like Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, to B-team governors like Scott Walker of Wisconsin or John Kasich of Ohio.
In fact, it's gotten so bad, the operative said, that some donors have started looking back fondly on the good old days of 2012: "You know what a lot of them say to me? I think we need Mitt back."

MORE LOSING PLZ. Would not surprise me at all if establishmentarian GOP sadsack dipshits were happy to lose if it meant more comfy numbing 'respectability'. Also would not surprise me if the 'source' were as full of shit as PB.
I think TEAM Blue is forgetting how their pump-and-dump election strategy works. First, they pump up the squishy TEAM Red-ist as "moderate," "centrist," and "presidential." THEN, when he gets the nomination, they dump a few gallons of shit on his head.
Nancy Grace Warns: Hopped-Up Reefer Maniacs Are Strangling People, Killing Whole Families
We better solve that problem right away -- by telling Nancy Grace to STFU about stuff she knows nothing about.

I'll take a segue when I can find it...
SF has a "housing crises!". It costs a lot of money to live here, and the voters (through the gov't) have done their best to make clear their revealed preference (the damn door is closed; go somewhere else!) while they, in the typical proggy manner, loudly proclaim their stated preference (everybody should be able to live here on the cheap!). It should be clear by now that any "problem" is caused by the gov't responding to the stated preference.
So we have this sort of dim-bulb, smiley-faced mayor who really wants to be remembered as something other than a dim-bulb, smiley-faced mayor and he announces the SOLUTION to the housing CRISES! BUILD 30,000 NEW HOMES!
Now, why didn't anyone else figger this out, I ask you.
"Sneak peek: Mayor Ed Lee has a housing solution"

Yeah, the Chron actually claims the desire to build X units is the "solution", but, hey, what do you expect?

Uh oh Raonic in trouble
reason is now behaving on the iPad, but I miss reasonable.
Stockbrokers don't smoke pot, they do cocaine.
No, they do hookers, they *snort* cocaine. Jeez.
They snort cocaine off of hooker's asses.
The very first day I smoked pot, tornadoes struck the Mid-West.
Coincidence?

Yes, criminals do shoot eachother over their illegal businesses. This is because they are criminals, not because marijuana causes people to become murderous.
Back during alcohol prohibition, the same thing happened for the same reasons -- did it prove that alcohol causes otherwise nice, gentle people to go on killing sprees? No, it proved that criminals commit crimes.
DiFi: "MJ is the gateway drug." Funny to think that guns and bullets helped launch her political career. Dan White clearly was stealing from the evidence room when he was a police officer. It was only a matter of time before his reefer madness lead to a double murder. The twinkies were just the result of a bad case of the munchies.
Marijuana might be a gateway to harder drugs -- but tobacco us a gateway to marijuana.
After all, tobacco being legal normalizes the act of setting leaves on fire before sticking them in your mouth.
But seriously, has anyone thought of asking Judge Judy what she thinks of marijuana? Ricki Lake? They are the voices of our generation.
Sometimes mna you jsut have to roll with the punches.

No anonbot. Sometimes the thing to do is punch right back.
Just saw the video. She had a treatment specialist with horror stories and tearjerking testimony about addiction ruining lives. I'm not saying he's right, my point is his testimony would resonate emotionally with the audience, helping grace's prohibitionist agenda. But rather than shiwcase that guy, grace monopolizes the mike with her Reefer Madness stuff. It's as if emotional venting was more important to her than putting her own best case forward.
I presume she knows her audience, so apparently this is not an audience that wants rational discourse.

Ding, ding, ding.
