Joe Biden and Mike Duggan Discuss How To Save Detroit Over Italian Meal
The vice president didn't offer many specifics about the dinner with Detroit's mayor when reporters asked
Vice President Joe Biden and Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan shared an Italian meal and strategies for helping the city during a stop Wednesday night at Roma Cafe in Eastern Market.
Standing outside under the restaurant's red-and-white-striped awning, Biden told reporters: "This is a great city, and there's no reason why it can't come back."
Biden flew into Detroit this afternoon. He is scheduled to speak Thursday morning at Cobo Center, which is hosting the North American International Auto Show, before heading back to Washington.
