Emails Show Link Between Gov. Christie's Office and Controversial Lane Closures
Suggest closure could have been political retribution for Fort Lee's mayor not backing Christie during his re-election campaign
A series of e-mails indicate that a key member of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's staff knew about controversial access lane closures to the George Washington Bridge in September, at one point even suggesting it was time "for some traffic problems in Fort Lee," the Asbury Park Press reportedWednesday.
