NJ Police Department Faces Wrongful Death Lawsuit After Police Shoot Man in the Back, Find Gun With No Prints

The brother of a man who was fatally shot in the back by a Paterson police officer two years ago has filed a federal wrongful death lawsuit against the city.
The complaint, filed by Michael Hyatt on December 23, says the officer "wrongfully discharged his weapon without provocation and without just cause" in killing Jacobe Hyatt.
