Murray, Ryan Close to Budget Deal
How badly are we all about to get screwed?
House and Senate budget negotiators are down to a small set of differences, and are aiming to unveil a budget agreement by the end of the day Tuesday, according to senior aides familiar with the talks.
Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.) both briefed their colleagues Tuesday on their plan to set spending levels for the next two years and reorganize budget cuts set to take hold in 2014.
