Should have used these band aids

Who the heck is Henry Payne? Where's the regular cartoonist?

Change makes me have the sads.

    1. UnCivilServant   12 years ago

I thought Payne was the regular and Bok was the substitute.

      1. Almanian!   12 years ago

They are both substitutes - FOR THE TALENTED CARTOONIST.

        1. Fist of Etiquette   12 years ago

Which is me. Today's cartoon was also a take on healthcare.gov, but it was Tron themed.

Picture, if you will, Obama and Sebelius in those idiotic Tron getups standing in the middle of glowing neon grids and talking about how nice it is to be out of the game and back in D.C.

Also Cash for Light Cycle Clunkers happens.

          1. Mike M.   12 years ago

            End of line.

            With Biden as Master Control?

  5. Sy   12 years ago

Why is that mullet wearing a boomerang?

  6. cavalier973   12 years ago

Thomas Sowell on human nature; "constrained" versus "unconstrained".

    1. sarcasmic   12 years ago

      Good read. Thanks.

    2. Suthenboy   12 years ago

I would gladly live my life as a nutless quadriplegic if I could acquire an intellect equal to Sowell's.

As usual, he nails it like no one else can.

      1. sarcasmic   12 years ago

        Give up sex? Uh... no?

    3. Bill   12 years ago

Yes, it is a good read. But carries too much of the conservative (religious) baggage with it. All of this about man's tragic, flawed nature does not seem consistent with what many libertarians feel. I see libertarians as more optimistic. So the constrained, tragic view as expressed there does not resonate with me as strongly as it should, although much of it appeals to me more than much of the utopian view.

What does a baked potato have to do with healthcare?

    1. Snark Plissken   12 years ago

Duh, a baked potato was accidentally replaced with Kenny's heart by George Clooney.

  8. Atanarjuat   12 years ago

Obama tweets photo of himself to honor Mandela

    1. gaijin   12 years ago

Well, if he had a father, he would have looked a lot like, uh...

    2. Bardas Phocas   12 years ago

      Narccisism beyon parody.
He makes Dennis Reynolds on 'Sunny' seem generous and humble.

    3. Suthenboy   12 years ago

Well, he couldnt get a photo op at Mandela's bedside. What did you expect him to do?

  9. Jeff   12 years ago

She was so frustrated that she threw an ice cream sandwich at her monitor? Pretty funny!

  10. hamilton   12 years ago

OT: 23andMe agrees to stop selling DNA test kits after FDA's warning.

    1. Atanarjuat   12 years ago

I assume a similar warning was issued to National Geographic's Genographic Project.

  11. Lord Humungus   12 years ago

the 50" monitor may lead to eye bleeding, skin lesions, or a visit from the orthoncologist

  12. Almanian!   12 years ago

What is the significance of a hotdog with holes poked in it, with a hankie wrapped around the middle of it, caught in a web spun by a spider on mescaline? What does that have to do with the fact that Healthcare.gov has been spayed and/or neutered?

And why is Flo (without her red lipstick and white Progressive? work uniform) looking at it?

Inquiring minds don't give a fuck.

    Happy Friday, Reasonoids.

  13. Almanian!   12 years ago

Also, if I were Sage, I'd say, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

  14. Swiss Servator, referendiffic!   12 years ago

What, Bok has a non-sucking cartoon and the next week, BAM, he's gone?!

    1. mr simple   12 years ago

They don't tolerate humor around here. Bringing people to the libertarian fold is all very serious business.

      1. Doctor Whom   12 years ago

Oh, so that's why we have the trolls. They supply the comic relief.

        1. Nazdrakke   12 years ago

For a certain value of "relief"

        2. sarcasmic   12 years ago

In the same sense that taking a big shit after being constipated for a week is a relief.

          1. UnCivilServant   12 years ago

How does that not turn your insides into outsides?

            1. SugarFree   12 years ago

That's why a plunger has two ends.

              1. Tim   12 years ago

So you're saying he's skilled with analogies?

In my defense I'm still drunk and high from doing my penance at the strip club last night.

            2. Nazdrakke   12 years ago

              +1 pain.. lots of pain.

              1. mr simple   12 years ago

                It's spelled Payne.

  15. RishJoMo   12 years ago

OK wow that sounds like some serious business.

      Bring back WomSom!

    2. Nazdrakke   12 years ago

I know it's not a great comic, but try to lighten up Anonbot, the weekend's almost here.

  16. mr simple   12 years ago

Excellent commentary on the subjugation of women, especially in the STEM fields, and the subtle use of the many subliminal penises is quite evocative. Truly this screams for the social justice lacking in today's world.

    /progartstudent

    1. UnCivilServant   12 years ago

Screw social justice, I want karmic justice.

      1. gaijin   12 years ago

Your karma just ran over my dogma.
