The number of foreign students attending college in America has hit an all-time high.
They took our degrees.
I am told that those degrees can all be found in the warming oceans.
Oh no! The underwater basket weavers took their major too seriously!
Depending on how deep they're used to weaving, they're half-way to a productive career in underwater welding.
Come to America's colleges! You, too, can become President!
An attorney for the federal judge who ruled the NYPD's stop and frisk program unconstitutional accuses New York City of waging a campaign of "character assassination" against her.
Hey, with the NYPD, it could have been the actual kind.
Wait, a federal judge needs an attorney? Don't they already know the law?
"Don't they already know the law?"
Not really, they just make it up as they go along.
David Nutt working on drugs to replace alcohol with all the benefits and no hangover post-antidote:

Cancer. Cure cancer.
Think of all the hours saved for cancer researchers who like to go on a bender every once in a while
Synthohol!
Oh man. Does he have a kickstarter? Could Anonymous please hack him and distribute the formulas and processes?
Your first response to someone creating something new is "Quick! Someone hurry up and steal it for me!"?
No wonder innovation is suffering. You can't gain from creating. The free stuff mantra trumps all.
People who can't handle alcohol are the problem, not the alcohol. Let nature take its course.
There is still something to be said about getting sloppy, then taking an antidote and driving home safely.
True that. Noted and corrected.
Or just waking up without all the dehydration and mis-processed ethers floating around your system.
That's what pho is for.
Pretend that the only pho we have is mediocre and I have to drive to campus to get it. I'm too old for that shit.
Brutal.
It depends on the situations but the pleasure of the drink itself is half the fun. I suppose with some substitute people will eventually come up with some delicious beverages but I'd much prefer they focus on an antidote rather than a replacement though I supposed that might not be possible.
I suppose that is a terribly written second sentence, I suppose.
That's what you get for being all hopped up on synthohol.
But you have to smoke it!
John McCain says he's been encouraged to run for president again in 2016, but acknowledges that "the people have spoken" on that matter.
It's in the frakkin' ship!
+Final Five
I wouldn't be surprised if he was encouraged by democrats.
I believe the people he is referring to are known as "sycophants".
"John McCain says he's been encouraged to run for president again in 2016"
Yeah, I'm sure that both Graham and Megan encouraged him to run,
but acknowledges that "the people have spoken" on that matter.
I guess that would be the other ~319,000,998 people in the U.S. who would rather he didn't waste our time, taking up space again.
Miami Dolphins guard Richie Incongito insists reporting about his harassment of rookie offensive tackle Jonathan Martin has been misleading...
Of course he said that. He didn't want a swirly.
Incognito is a gigantic asshole and I have no sympathy for him being the target of this shit-storm. He's always been the type of asshole who will take the low end of acceptable behavior and go a little lower.
Hey, now. We HnR commenters have made that sort of thing into an art form.
Something something something this is why there are no female libertarians...
That's why we're interested in 3D printers.
He may well be an asshole, but the bullying thing is bullshit, especially seeing that the texts went back and forth.
My best friend of 16 years and I are far more vulgar towards one another as a matter of regular discourse.
There had better be something besides a year's worth of back and forth texts to prove that Incognito is some kind of bully.
Martin will never play pro ball again. IMO.
Nope. He's a rat. And no one wants to play with a rat.
Martin saying he didn't blame the team doesn't mean he didn't blame Incognito...
The reporting on this was poorly worded above. Incognito texted Martin Friday after the game if everything was alright. He said he didn't have a problem with Incognito, just some things in the locker room got out of hand. They exchanged over 1300 texts over the last year, the two dudes were very close and this matter has been unfortunately spinned to maximum advantage by Martin's lawyers,
His lawyers better get him a lot of money, because no team is ever going to trust him again.
This.
Someone besides Martin is driving the allegations, and the media is happy enough to create an "OMG BULLEEZ IN TEH LOKKER RHUM!!" narrative.
Incognito is likely an asshole, but he's being fucked in all of this. His career is likely over, and it will have been destroyed by a lawyer with an agenda and the willingness to break a few eggs to make his omelette.
Guy named Incognito has to wear a disguise after all the bad press. What are the odds?
The number of foreign students attending college in America has hit an all-time high.
More French, Chilean, and Swedish girls at colleges is fine with me.
How do you feel about Chinese, Indian, and South Korean?
There's lot of Koreans, Indians, and Chinese where I grew up and went to school, American or foreign.
People who take useful subjects and work hard? Yes, please.
Seems like strong colleges are the only thing people who aren't serf-level come to America for anymore. Then they go home, followed by Americans who take actual skill programs, and move their own countries forward. America gets left with the Grievance Studies and Professional Protesting majors.
The only people who come to America for "opportunity" are the serfs willing to do meat-bot labor at rock-bottom rates, because where they came from is that much shittier.
The others come for education, then go home and make opportunities.
I would like to personally invite Miss Guatemala and Miss Hungary 2013 to attend college anywhere in the US they choose.

I find this Twitter conversation thread to be fascinating. Radley Balko correctly points out how the original photo misleads the reader. But the others still maintain that the counter-protestors were "intimidating" because they brought guns to the rally.
Would bringing books to a free speech rally be a form of intimidation?
http://tinyurl.com/m7muh6s
Shit. Sorry, I fucked up the URL.
You NutraSweeted the link, dude.
As for your point (because I've seen the picture), remember that the gun banners are animists. Guns are totemic for them, and imbued with supernatural evil powers. That's why they find them "intimidating", even when not being used in any kind of "intimidating" manner. It's not rational, so attempted to understand it rationally will fail.
I corrected the link above.
As for whether the counter-protestors were intimidating, they were obviously using their guns as props in a counter-demonstration on the topic of guns.
To say anything about "intimidation" would incredibly dishonest provided the information that Balko gave in his original tweet. Yet, his responses continue to claim that it's a form of intimidation.
Would not the anti-gun demonstrators also be "intimidating," seeing as how they a pro-police confiscation of guns. True, it would be the police using the means of force and not the protestors, but it would be a form of intimidation by proxy.
I mean, so long as we are just bandying about the use of the word "intimidation" without any concern over the factual basis of such an assertion.
I can't think of anything more intimidating than a group of people conspiring to take my constitutionally guaranteed rights away. Where's my boo hoo fest?
Well, of course they're dishonest. They're irrational, superstitious collectivist morons who are deathly afraid of a tool made out of metal. Again, you cannot expect rationality, honesty, or anything approaching good faith with these people. They are convinced that the piece of metal you want to own is inherently evil and possessed of evil powers. They're like people who want to burn Harry Potter books because they promote witchcraft.
I love the asswipe that maintains that he's all for counter-protesting, but this was disrespectful and not appropriate.
All boils down to, it's ok when we do it.
Like I said, it's fascinating. They seem to start out with the position that the counter-protestors are disrespectful and potentially criminal and then begin to wrap around layers and layers of complex rationalizations for why the counter-protestors are wrong.
If the Moms don't want to live in a free state, the sort of state capable of mustering a militia necessary to its security, they are welcome to leave Texas and move to New York.

ThinkProgress linked to this photo. in response to those criticizing their original photo. Yet, I still don't see any indication of intimidation on the part of the counter-protestors.
They seem like they're interested in discussion and debate, which I thought was the whole point of a rally/demonstration.
Look, maybe carrying firearms in public can strike some people as hostile, but when you make the original demonstration about gun rights, wouldn't you expect the counter-protestors to bring out their firearms as a sort of rhetorical prop.
Hey, that guy on the right wearing the red shirt was really scary!!!!
A fire at a New York factory has reportedly created a nationwide shortage of knishes.
I knish this shortage is resolved shortly.
John McCain says he's been encouraged to run for president again in 2016, but acknowledges that "the people have spoken" on that matter.
Every time I think "wow, the Republicans really couldn't find a dumber electoral strategy than that", my faith in human ingenuity is renewed.
French President Francois Hollande, meanwhile, was booed by protestors while laying a wreath at the tomb of an unknown soldier.
They didn't even boo Reagan when he laid a wreath at Hitler's grave.
Daring to Complain About Obamacare
Progressive finds out other progressives are dicks. Here's my shocked face.
Progressive learns that when progressive elites talk about reducing income inequality, they mean capping the middle class at 400% of the poverty line.
I was thinking that too. I know it's slim pickings these days in modern politics but socialists are the worst of the bunch.
I wonder how much different her tune would be if she did qualify for subsidies. Is she against this or principle or because, for once, she was one of the people who got screwed over for "the greater good"? I'd honestly like to know.
Today's New York Times has an op-ed piece by a self-described ObamaCare victim, Lori Gottlieb, who identifies herself in her shirttail bio as "a contributing editor for The Atlantic and a psychotherapist." At first we were pleasantly surprised that the Times, whose editorial page has been unwavering in its pro-ObamaCare propagandizing, was giving space to an opposing point of view, but after reading the piece, we suspect it's a put-on.
Gottlieb opens by complaining that her annual premiums for an individual policy in California are going up $5,400, or $450 a month. "The new provider network would eliminate coverage for my and my son's long-term doctors and hospitals," she writes. On the plus side, she will be getting maternity coverage, which, she observes with appropriate sarcasm, is "handy for a 46-year-old."
But her main complaint seems to be that she's not getting enough sympathy from her Facebook friends. "Instead . . . my respondents implied--in posts that, to my annoyance, kept getting more 'likes'--that it was beyond uncool to be whining about myself when the less fortunate would finally have insurance."
http://online.wsj.com/news/art.....1898296914
Welcome to socialism. Where the people perceived to have better means are not allowed to voice disapproval because there's always someone worse off.
Lord I despise progressives.
"The nation has been better off," wrote one friend. "Over 33 million people who did not have insurance are now going to get it."
Uh huh. Sure they are.
And the first 50k are signed up already. just 32,950,000 to go.
Don't forget the 5M or so who have already been thrown off their old plans. And that's before the employers start tossing people over the side.

I'm sure our Constitutional-Scholar-in-Chief has her on the short list for a federal judgeship.
Dear Prudence: Help! My wife doesn't want me to be a father figure to my mistress' son!
I am currently in marriage counseling with my wife after she discovered my three-year-long relationship with another woman. After a lot of soul-searching, I truly want to make the marriage work and ended my affair with "Sandy" for good. The problem we have is Sandy's son, "John." Sandy has been a single mother most of her life and I am the only father figure he's known. John and I developed a bond over the years and I feel as though it would be cruel to cut him out of my life because I am no longer in a relationship with his mother. My wife is adamant that she won't stay in the marriage if I maintain any ties with either John or Sandy. I feel disappointed in her for not having the compassion to see John is the innocent victim here who needs my ongoing support. I've previously promised John I would always be a part of his life and I don't want to go back on that. Shouldn't my wife be more understanding of a child's needs?
I feel bad for the kid, but surely having someone this dumb as a male role model can't be good for him in the long-run.
On the other hand, this guy did manage to get multiple women to sleep with him at the same time, and even accept that. The boy could get some pointers!
this guy did manage to get multiple women to sleep with him
No pics. I am unimpressed with the statement alone.
It's mostly the part where they knew/found out about each other and didn't kick him to the curb.
ah, yes that is playa knowledge worth passing on to the young man.
"Sandy has been a single mother most of her life"
I don't see how the math adds up on this one.
She had a kid at 15 and she's 31 now?
gross
The kid is 25.
There must have been a lot of cheatin' going on for the guy to have time to forge a bond with the kid too...
Yes, clearly your wife is the villain in all of this.
Also, what makes him think the kid wants to maintain a relationship?
Yeah, I was fucking your mom on the side while I was cheating on my wife. I am going to tell your mom to go fuck herself from now on though.
We're still cool, right?
Even if the kid did want to maintain it in what fucking world does he think maintaining a relationship with a kid whose mom he was fucking while he was married is good for the kid?
That's pretty high on the scumbag-o-meter.
I think he's looking for an excuse to still go for the strange.
I've previously promised John I would always be a part of his life
Pretty sure John discovered how shitty this guy is with promises when he learned he had a wife while he was fucking his mom.
Dispatches from Potemkingrad, Memory Lane Edition:
Whoops. Guess that backfired just a tad. File this one under "surprised by events".
Oh, and I found the new logo for ObamaCare.
It really expresses the qualities we've all come to know and love in this administration's approach to public policy.
The Secret Obama
..."Taken in sum, Obama's list was a revealing document," Halperin and Heilemann write. "He believed that over the past three years his progressive impulses had too often been trumped by the demands of pragmatism. That he had trimmed his sails in just the way his critics on the left had charged."...
"A heated debate on proposals to legalise euthanasia for minors in Belgium, one of the few countries to allow it for adults, intensified on Wednesday with supporters and opponents pressing their case.
"Proposed legislation would allow the euthanasia of minors so long as they are judged capable of deciding for themselves?a move favoured by three quarters of Belgians, according to a recent opinion poll.
"One Wednesday, 16 paediatricians called on lawmakers to vote for a practice some experts say already happens outside the law....
"However, a group of religious leaders who oppose the legal change published a statement Wednesday...
"...The euthanasia of fragile people, be they children or incapable, is totally inconsistent with their condition as human beings.
"We cannot accept a logic which will lead to the destruction of society's foundations," they said.
A 2002 law made Belgium the second country in the world after The Netherlands to legalise mercy killings for those suffering from incurable illnesses.
"Unlike Belgium, however, the Dutch law allows euthanasia for children over 12."

Just call it "late-late-late-term abortion."
Just call it "late-late-late-term abortion."
It would be interesting if they chose to perform it by making an incision at the base of the skull, inserting a Kelly clamp into the incision and then suctioning the brain out.
Eh, I wouldn't worry about it. Europe hasn't had problems with bureaucrats judging the worth of human lives before, has it?
I thought that minors by definition aren't legally capable of deciding things for themselves.
What we're dealing with:
Going through Derpbook recently I noticed a friend who had posted this:
I replied simply and shortly:
Very simple. Very accurate. McCarthy nor Ted Cruz had anything at all to do with the internment camps during WW2. Ted Cruz wasn't even born. His reply?
This is what we're against, and, frankly, I don't think we have a shot. When you can take an executive order and blame it on a Senator who didn't hold office until 5 years after said executive order was signed, you have no intellectual capacity beyond TEAM!!!!! You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves in to.
Wait, what is the official Tea-endorsed position on FDR? I missed that leaflet.
According to polls cited at Reason, the Tea Party are big fans of Social Security and Medicare/caid.
Re: Palin's Buttwipe,
What's interesting is that you find that interesting, or even relevant enough to post right here.
Actually, we can. Executive Order 9066 had no legislative input, and was entirely the product of FDR and his candidate. Moreover, it was pushed for, recommended, and carried out in the civilian realm most notably by Earl Warren, another progressive hero. As for the spirit of the law, here's what its main proponent in the military, Gen DeWitt, had to say to Congress:
Some say the Japanese internment was spurred by the Niihua Incident. Regardless, it was disgusting and collectivist.
Some say it was spurred by a populace that was quite comfortable with using brute force to create a racial caste system.
Chinese Exclusion?
Greatest Generation!
Ok, it wasn't McCarthy. But fricking J. Edgar Hoover - anti-Communist extraordinaire and no great friend of civil liberties - thought internment was over-the-top. Roosevelt ignored the FBI director, who was in charge of domestic counterintelligence, and imprisoned the Japanese-Americans anyway.
You can't fix stupid.
And yet another progressive hero, William O. Douglas, sided with the majority ruling internment constitutional in Korematsu v. United States.
Also worth noting, Owen Roberts was the only Republican appointee on the Supreme Court at the time, and one of the three dissenters in Korematsu.
You've got some find friends there Doctor!
WTF - is this a parody of left-wing thought?
One would think so, but nope. He actually believes that it's the morally responsible action to warn all of us that people like Ted Cruz or McCarthy should be feared because they might put people in internment camps. You know, more responsible than blaming the actual person responsible for putting people in internment camps.
Your "friend" probably wouldn't mind putting Tea Party people in camps, though.
I'd guarantee that if he felt like he had adequate cover, he'd happily put people in camps for thoughtcrime.
There is no sugarcoating it. Your friend is fucking insane.
Yep.
It's sad too. We were great friends at one time. He wasn't always insane, but these days he's fucking certifiable. Facts have nothing to do with his positions, and if you bring in facts to refute his position, you're automatically a "tea tard."
So, he trolls this board then?
The most recent reply:
Pointing out historical inaccuracies makes one a "tea-convert."
When one can't even use objective, factual history that cannot be disputed, you have no chance. None.
How do you pioneer a policy that came before you?
At least "Teahadist" had something, "Tea-convert" isn't even clever.
Does it count as an insult if there is nothing truly insulting about the term?
I read Marcotte weekly, and even I'm wondering how you haven't put your "friend" on your ignore list.
How about Tea-cozy instead? Like fellow traveler, but for reputed Tea Party sympathies.
nice
If you loan a friend $20 and you never see him again, it was worth it.
How could McCarthy "pioneer" policies that were enacted before he took office? And what evidence is there that Cruz would put people into camps?
Don't argue with the party of science, Winston.
FWIW, the only governor who opposed internment and fought its implementation (Ralph Carr) was an anti-New Deal Republican who would easily qualify as a "Tea Partier" today.
Unpossible. Only a racist would oppose the New Deal and the War Effort. It's good that the Rethuglikkkans and Colorado have no guys like Carr around anymore.
According to Wikipedia:
Pretty impressive guy to have said that in 1942. According to The Denver Post, it cost him the election. http://www.denverpost.com/opinion/ci_3796146
Anti-New Deal Rethuglikkkan decrying racism? Unpossible.
This is exactly why I don't think that this round of statism will wind down without a shooting war. He ignores factual history, ad-homs the heck out of you, dehumanizes you (even though he personally knows you), and assigns motive to people not even remotely involved in the situation.
If Ted Cruz would start up internment camps, then Hillary would gas upper middle class men. If McCarthy pioneered concentration camps, then Obama pioneered nuking American cities to improve our economy!
Gosh this is fun!
I think there will be shooting riots but not a war. The Progressive movement is bound for history's ash-heap where it will sit and stink and decompose.
It already stinks.
Unfortunately, I fear you're right.
Welcome to modern progressivism.
I'm always fascinated by the pathology behind this kind of thought process. Can I get some background info on this person?
Affluent upbringing? Parents didn't require him to pitch in and help around the house? Liberal arts major? Student Loans? Never paid more than $5K a year in taxes?
the sort of policy that McCarthy pioneered
Huh. I didn't know that McCarthy was elected before FDR so he could pioneer those policies. So since McCarthy served in WW2 before becoming senator, who our president then? Also, why was FDR rounding up the Japanese in the 1960's? I'm confused by proggy history sometimes. I should read more Zinn, I guess.
Aside from totally not getting that internment was owned by several progressive superstars, there's also the minor footnote to the American concentration camps that the U.S. wasn't slaughtering Japanese-Americans. Shit was wrong in a big way, but there's wrong and there's mass-murder.
We do have a shot but not using reason to convert this 'person'. You should be a total condescending asshole to this guy and treat him like the retard he is. It's about slut stupidity shaming. Tell him up front that he's certifiable.
He's immune.
Probably adding too late for you to see this, but I had a similar friend who was a 911 truther, and proclaimed that if Obama won in 2008 that Bush would declare marshall law or something and stay in power.
Another friend and I gave him a legitimate 500-1 wager on $100 that this wouldn't happen. That's $50K we were putting up against his minimum $100. Wouldn't do it, because peace blah blah blah.
Anyway, try to pigeon hole one of his crazier theories into a fact-based wager. Fun for everyone!
It simply isn't worth it anymore. Conversing with him at all over the last few years has been an increasingly frustrating experience. In fact, this may well be the last time I ever talk with him. I can't talk with someone who refuses to accept objective, verifiable facts in an argument, all while dehumanzing me despite, all while having the nerve to call me patronizing.
He can kiss my ass.
Amazingly you can print things besides weapons: New technique to print ink-based electrical circuitry using a desktop printer
Researchers at Georgia Tech have developed a new technique to print advanced, ink-based electrical circuitry on a desktop printer. Using about US$300 worth of off-the-shelf equipment, the researchers were able to print arbitrary-shaped circuits on resin-coated paper, PET film, and glossy photo paper with silver nanoparticle ink.
The team was able to print ink-based circuits in as little as 60 seconds.
I look forward to the upgrade that allows you to print your very own Kelly Lebrock (ca: 1985 model)
Yeah, you definitely want the pre-Segal model.
Oh look, progs now find rationing food stamps acceptable.
Blanca Salas, a woman in McAllen, Texas, stretches her $430 in monthly food stamp benefits to buy food for herself and her five children, yet her entire family is developing diabetes and other health problems, as the Washington Post reported this weekend.
The solution? Prohibit soda purchases with EBT. The comments are great from separating liberals from progressives.
Why should food stamps be used for any drink?
Milk for the kids you ask? I hoped so. If you're on the dole, there's low-cost powdered milk that you can reconstitute.
Maybe you should squat more
Maybe we should, Russia. Maybe we should.
Whatever, dunphy.
Those guys look like skinny teenagers next to him, and they probably squat plenty themselves.
Glad to know I'm not the only guy who shoots my ass back and then straightens up at the end of my range.
Everyone who squats any real weight does that. It's the way the biomechanics works, brah.
I bet you don't even lift, bro.
Squat and Ride? Just like your mom's nickname?
Large sinkhole opens up in Chicago
Regrettably, it did not consume the whole city.
Damn!
Don't Swiss Servator and the unfortunately rarely seen nowadays Nikki hail from the Second City? If Lot could try to get Sodom spared by finding a few righteous men, surely we can hope for Chicago to be spared at least for the sake of our HnR brethren and sistren.
And me too.
Also Irish
I grew up there and went to med school there. But, yes, if we can spare Nikki, Swiss, Irish and Marc F, let the whole damn city slide into the hole. Perhaps a new Daniel Burnham can create a better place on what's left.
To paraphrase Mike Bolton:
Why should I move? They're the ones who suck.
Chicago Med School? If so, what year?
No, Northwestern Univ. Med School, now known (to alumni chagrin) as "Feinberg School of Medicine". 1986 MD grad.
I do have a good friend who is presently a department chair at Chicago Med School.
HEY, What am I chopped liver?
"It's already bad enough that attorney David Schorr is embroiled in the tug-of-war with wife Bari Yunis Schorr over their 4-year-old son, but now he's filed a defamation suit against psychologist Marilyn Schiller for telling a judge that he was an unfit parent for not taking his kid to the fast-food joint when he demanded it.
"According to court documents, during an Oct. 30 visit, the boy insisted on a trip to the Golden Arches rather than the Manhattan restaurant where Schorr normally takes him. Schorr, wary of junk food overconsumption, declined to do so and offered instead to take him any place else, which triggered a tantrum.
"Schorr stood his ground though, and took the boy back home to his mother. But Schiller, a court-appointed psychologist, told the court hearing the divorce case that because he wouldn't take the boy to McDonald's, he was "wholly incapable" of taking care of the child and asked the court to intervene, restricting the time Schorr got to spend with the boy."

So a patient goes missing at SF General Hospital; her body is found a couple of weeks later in a stair-well. "Security" for the hospital is provided by the SF Sheriff's Dept, run by those termed out of other office and a cushy job for those who can't quite cut the mustard as real cops; they didn't look in the stair-wells 'cause something.
The hospital has asked for a private security agency both for effectiveness and cost, but the Sheriff is firmly against this; his boss (the local SEIU agent) told him so:

oh my god how many times are you gonna ask? Obama embodies all religions.
Her motto is, "Have morals, go socialist." And a more recent post, responding to the fact that some female teachers have relationships with male teenagers:
Pretty sure the teen boys want the sex and pressure the teacher into it. Seriously. if there's a fucking victim in that situation it's the female teacher.

Women less likely to orgasm from casual sex than men
Natasha Gadinsky, 23, says she doesn't have any regrets from her years in college. But the time she hooked up with a guy at Brown University does come close.
After his own orgasm that night, she said, he showed no interest in her satisfaction. The next time they got together, it happened again. He "didn't even care," said Ms. Gadinsky, a health care case manager in New York City, "I don't think he tried at all." He fell asleep immediately, leaving her staring at the ceiling. "I was really frustrated," she said.
Like generations before them, many young women like Ms. Gadinsky are finding that casual sex does not bring the physical pleasure that men more often experience. New research suggests why: Women are less likely to have orgasms during uncommitted sexual encounters than in serious relationships.
At the same time, however, researchers say that young women are becoming equal partners in the hookup culture, often just as willing as young men to venture into sexual relationships-
"The notion of sexual liberation, where men and women both had equal access to casual sex, assumed a comparable likelihood of that sex being pleasurable," said Kim Wallen, a professor of neuroendocrinology at Emory University who studies female desire. "But that part of the playing field isn't level."
Stop slut shaming.
Wait, wait, wait! Are they suggesting that the guys who are having casual sex with some random chick are less likely to care about her satisfaction than if they are with an actual girlfriend? They don't bother putting in the extra work to get her off? Color me shocked.
"After I gave him this free glass of milk, he drank half of it, then poured the rest on the ground! The second time I gave his a free glass of milk he did it again! Its like he doesn't respect the value of milk!"
And the third and fourth time he did it again!!! But that one guy who was really nice and polite and ate me out for 45 minutes? We just didn't click...
Truly, a shocking development. If only the Koch brothers didn't own a monopoly on the media, Barack Obama would have known about this sooner and established a Congressional task force to solve this vexing problem.
Barack Obama would have known about this sooner and established a Congressional task force to solve this vexing problem.
I thought orgasms were covered in the ACA?
If you liked your orgasm, you can keep it.
I had that written into my marriage contract.
I dated a girl who could climax with a tiny little vibrator in less than a minute. Many orgasms a day for that girl.
Tough competition.
Feminism just might be the most destructive force society has yet encountered.
Every guy who picks up women from bars should know this. That's why they always try to "just go to sleep" and want you to sleep in the same bed with them (a riskier proposition than just sex with someone you don't know, if you ask me).
Guys, listen. Don't do that shit. If you're at her house, leave or go sleep on the couch. If you're at your house, make her sleep on the couch. Intimacy for sex. That's the trade. Stop selling yourselves short. Over half the time, they'll come back into the room and initiate the sex themselves.
There's no way I'm going to read this stupid article--you can do that all you want, masochist--but I'm guessing every single bit of its "evidence" is based on anecdotes?
Manechdotes.
Showing interest in your satisfaction, madam, costs extra - read the fine print, please.
To level the playing field, someone really needs to pass a law requiring that women be able to achieve orgasm as quickly and easily as men can.
We should penaltax them if they don't fulfill the man date.
A cunnilingus mandate?
You must enroll in a Bronze, Silver, or Gold Cunnilingus Plan in order to avoid being taxed under the Insufficient Pussy Licking Act (IPLA).
Can union members get an exemption?
But I was told if I like my cunnilingus technique I could keep it!
Was I lied to?
Your analingus ain't bad!
Female orgasm? That's a myth. What really gets a woman off is giving her husband lots of children.
/cartoon EvH
What really gets a woman off is believing her man will change for her.
Well, duh, I mean, casual sex involving a penis has just got to be rape, and it's hard to orgasm from rape... or something else Amanduh would say.

Zing!
Cobb County is the Tea Party HQ in Georgia. I wonder if they will protest the $450 million in new taxes (NOT).
The linked story says that Cobb County will be "an investor" in the project. That doesn't mean there will necessarily be a tax hike, but if there is the TPers will likely be raising hell.

Not adjusted for inflation, it is not. What you're seing is a Fed-induced bubble, Buttwipe. You're completely ignoring the fundamentals, which are manufacturing output and productive investment, and both have been DOWN for a long while, just inching upwards these last 5 quarters, but not thanks to this government.
That's a possibility, which in that case would make you a shyster, a con-man trying to fool everybody here. But I don't think so. I believe you're just another charlatan, someone who believes his own bullshit.

Well, kind of. There's a huge demand gap between people who can write code and people who can solve problems by writing code. If you can execute a solution you're worth $40k tops. If you can solve problems, you're worth twice that with 3-5 years experience.
Shriektard literally cannot fathom having to make a choice like that. Double-think is his whole worthless retarded life.
That explains why the unemployment rate among software engineers is about 1-2%. Oh wait...
The growth in US energy production is despite Obama, not because of him.
All of Obama's energy schemes were expensive duds. The growth in US energy production is the result of private industry, not Obama policy.

English church uses sheep to graze grass, they end up eating flowers and mementos at graves
As a way to save money at a village churchyard, it had seemed like a splendid idea.
But a scheme to let loose a flock of sheep in a graveyard to keep the grass down has backfired, after they grazed on floral tributes and mementoes left for loved ones.
The ten ewes were introduced to Holy Trinity Church in the aptly-named village of Grazeley, Berkshire, because the parochial council said it could no longer afford anyone to mow the lawn.
But Nicola Millard, whose grandparents are buried there, said: "The condition is awful - basically they've ruined all the flowers and bent forward one of the headstones, and there is a lot of debris over the graves."
She added. "There is a little turnstile I go in rather than the main gates and I arrived to see four of them stood on my nan's grave. I was so heartbroken."
Even worse, worms and bacteria have been eating her nan.

Proggies are really homophobic
Cornhole is for people too shitty at washers.
The Commies used to hate the gays as they felt homosexuality was a depravity of the aristocracy and used to exploit the working class by causing them to be rent boys. Remember Spartacus anyone?
However they changed their minds because of the KULTUR WAR against the Christfags.
I suppose once the progs win they'll go back to hating gays. I mean they're discriminatory and gay sex contributes nothing to the Collective and reduces population and is stealing from the People!

Silly me for thinking the best thing about atheism is you get to sleep in on Sundays. Wow. If you miss church so much, find you some Jesus, Jehovah, or Allah practitioners and help corrupt their doctrines instead of the One True Path (waking up Sunday just in time for the pre-game show). Why spoil a good thing?
Reminds me a bit of how a bunch of the old-line Socialists would come up with alternative holidays and bizarre recreations of Catholic doctrine. Because the worst thing about religion is not that it is man-made, nonsensical opium for the masses, it's that it's not *our* man-made, nonsensical opium for the masses.
Which is the same thing Christianity did with various winter solstice celebrations.
Right, exactly -- but it is bizarre coming from a group of people who hold themselves out as materialistic rationalists.
Eh, they way I see it, anyone who joins an organization like that is a collectivist. Doesn't matter if it's religion or lack thereof, they have a deep longing to belong to some group they can perceive as better than all the other groups. The hypocrisy comes naturally afterwards.

...The Vows column last Sunday, about the marriage of Ashlan Gorse and Philippe Cousteau Jr., misstated the name of the designer label of the bride's dress. It is Lazaro Perez's company, Lazaro ? not Azzaro. The column also misstated the timing of the seaplane crash that killed the groom's father, Philippe Cousteau Sr. It happened six months before the birth of the groom, not when he was a baby. And it misstated part of the name of the Daft Punk song played at the couple's Sept. 28 ceremony. It is "Get Lucky," not "Get Funky."...

Bankers are not the only people in this world who know how to make money.
2. In a theoretical world in which a president actually enacted meaningful reform which reduced the financial sector's share of earnings, the resulting business climate would be far more fair and far more accommodating to entrepreneurs and small business. In such a theoretical world, bumping taxes on the upper middle classes would not be such a terrifying thought.
3. Progressive taxation should be viewed as a tool to achieve a more economically just and fair and equal economy and society. Trying to preserve a less fair economy in order to better maintain progressive taxation is ass backwards.
In other words, it is foolish to argue that we need to preserve a bad situation (the finance sector taking far too much money for itself, the top 1% of earners holding far too much of society's wealth) just so we can keep open a back door method of ameliorating that very thing (raising taxes on Wall Street and the rich). Shrinking the power and prominence of Wall Street is its own reward for society.
Aww, how quaint and sweet! A Nirvana Fallacy!
Imagine that: A world where the financial sector knows they will get to keep less of what they earn than what they are willing to work for will result in more business!

This guy isn't going to be writing for The Atlantic very long.
My point is not to help Republicans shed the "anti-science" label and simply apply it to the Democrats. It's more important that we collectively recognize that reason and critical thought, the joy and excitement of discovery, the connection between research and economic growth, and the beauty and awe of science are accessible to people of all religious and political stripes?just as people of all stripes are capable of rejecting them.
That's critically important for two reasons. First, one result of caricaturing Republicans as the "bad guys" on science is that the science-advocacy community gives Obama and the Democratic Party a free pass on bad decisions that undermine long-term basic research.

Nebraska man acquitted for murder/manslaughter charges after stabbing wife's lover
A Bellevue man has been acquitted of charges in connection with the fatal stabbing of his wife's lover.
A jury returned the not guilty verdict Friday after deliberating for eight hours in the trial of 24-year-old Anthony Utterback. He faced a second-degree murder charge in the February death of 24-year-old Ryan O'Donnell.
According to Omaha.com, a jury of six men and six women concluded that Utterback acted in self-defense following a physical altercation with O'Donnell, who later died from a wound to the chest. He was the father of a 4-year-old girl.
Utterback and 23-year-old Ashley Killian remain married and the website reports there is a possibility the couple could reconcile.
The fatal stabbing happened on Valentine's Day after the woman celebrated with her husband then allegedly went to see O'Donnell, according to the site.
The moral of the story? Don't mess with someone's wife in Nebraska. You'll end up dead with not even something resembling closure for your immediate family.
The closure is the coffin lid over your corpse.
How should colleges actually prevent sexual assault?
Guess what their number one suggested go-to method is? Go ahead, guess.
Separate but equal facilities?
Mandatory sensitivity training for all male students?
winna!!! we have a winna!!!
I honestly wonder how some people can have such a bizarre and blinkered understanding of human nature without having it beat out of them through experience by the time they're 30.
Of course you do, honey.
(I personally think that all colleges should have students take a mandatory intro-level women's studies and/or critical race theory course in their first year).
I abhor mandates like that in education, but I honestly think that would back fire for them and you'd have a lot of students making fun of concepts like how opening doors for women is oppression and Miley Cyrus is guilty of cultural appropriation.
Normally, I'm happy when I win something. But this, this...
It gets better. That "rape" chant they were punished for?
That promotes rape?

So what actual, concrete steps can we take to change campus climates, in addition to individual risk reduction ? which isn't very effective on its own and can often veer dangerously close to the realm of victim blaming? Consent education, as Kovacs mentioned, is important. In addition, both Kovacs and Berkowitz brought up bystander intervention as something that should be taught to all students. Bystander intervention is a method of risk reduction in which students are encouraged to step up and intervene when they witness a concerning situation ? be it through helping a fellow student who looks dangerously intoxicated get home, by telling someone who seems to be preying on a drunk student to stop, or through criticizing one's peers for victim-blaming and/or taking assault lightly.
So no more drunken muff-diving at THE Ohio State?
Saltpeter in the mashed potatoes?
Wait, wait. They are implying that it is okay now to drink in dorms? Huh. I'll bet all the "minors" between 17 and 20 at FSU attending mandatory alcohol awareness classes will be surprised people think that. No public school is risk-tolerant enough for that. I mean, it totally depends on the RAs/RMs who manage a hall how tightly shit gets enforced, but even today's loose enforcement doesn't look like tolerance.
Moreso than other governmental measures, the alchol laws give people between the ages of 17 and 21 a great look at illegitimate and assholish authority figures are.
Sadly, they turn 21, stop giving a shit, and suddenly trust TOP MEN. Must be something in legal booze.

Wait...if people like Singer didn't buy this debt, wouldn't the country's economy just collapse due to people not buying their debt? That's basically what happened to Greece, correct? No one would buy their debt which caused the debt crisis.
So Singer buying up this debt gives the country an opportunity to survive and possibly develop. If he didn't do so, the country would have no opportunity to develop because they'd fall into a debt crisis when they were still developing.
Side note related to the article I just posted: It seems that the feminists and gay hustlers are getting really worried that with gay marriage an inevitability, gays will start leaving the victimization plantation and maybe start voting for things other than progressives. Heck, they may even decide that a socialist revolution that destroys capitalism isn't in their best interests.
Just reading their sites, that seems to be a big part of why gender/gender identity/transgender shit is being brought up so much lately, as well as GLBT youth homelessness, EDNA, and the idea that until ALL the problems in America are solved, we can't go abroad and start trying to fix them there.
They don't want the battle to be won, essentially, because if it were, it would mean that they no longer get to hold up gays as part of the great oppressed classes that the evil American Empire enslaves.
I doubt they care very much. Gays are a very small part of the electorate; the only way in which they matter is as a proxy for various cultural issues and thus the votes of SWPLs. If the gays leave the plantation, the gay Al Sharptons are out a job but otherwise not much changes. The left will just find a new cause celebre.
Yeah, but think how much more unfashionable there shoes will become without the gays on their side!
In all seriousness, I think it has less to do with the size of the gay population than their impact. A lot of people have a gay relative, or a gay friend, especially among the younger generation. And while racist is so overused it's played out, and sexist may have gained recent traction but is awkward (because of the sheer mass of women who disagree with them), homophobe is still shiny and new and has sting. Eventually, it will go the way of racist, but until that happens, they fear losing that arrow in their quiver.
The Progressive is singularly rapacious. NO ONE leaves the plantation. There is a use for everyone.
You have also just explained Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, et al.
They don't want the battle to be won, essentially, because if it were, it would mean that they no longer get to hold up gays as part of the great oppressed classes that the evil American Empire enslaves.

Do they sell "Clank" chains as well?
+1 bolt.
Also, didn't someone (it may have actually been Joe Biden) refer to Obama as "articulate" early in the 2008 campaign, and then was pilloried for being a racist? Now, blacks can say they were identified as "articulate" and it's a great compliment?
I can never keep straight the rules of this game.
Maybe the byline is sarcastic?
That is racist as shit. Why doesn't she write an article about how racist the Obama administration is?
Jesus Christ. I could not imagine telling a black person 'You know, you are super articulate.' If I said that and got my ass kicked, I really couldn't complain because I definitely would deserve it.
Also, I clicked on the link and it went to her twitter page. Here's a no shit conversation this woman had recently. I highlighted her part for ease of understanding.
Man. I wish I was as articulate as her!
That explains a lot. You have to be pretty retarded to think that shitting your pants is normal.
Lol, that is pretty facepalmy. Smh.
Fuck. I capitalized the first letter and properly inserted a coma. I can't even pretend to be that stupid because my grammar is simply too stellar.
Miley should really go back to long brown hair.
I remember how much I loved Forever 21 (well, its prices) during my days as a struggling college student, but that romance is long over. In the past year alone, there have been a few reasons that turned our breakup from amicable to straight out hostile. In August, a leaked memo revealed the slashing of health care and other benefits for retail store associates.
So they have really low prices and I'm assuming really thin margins and you expect them to pay outrageous insurance premiums for all their employees?
Feminist skeptics still hate skepticism:
They neglect to mention that several have been about people who didn't even attend the conference they were accused at.
I am disappointed that Atheism++ has been so callous and racist towards the needs of our colored brothers and sisters and their beliefs. Belief in a deity is part of the rich tapestry of culture and color which informs their day-to-day lives, and it is both racist and insulting that Atheism++ does not have a place for believers of such entities within their organizations. It is imperative that those without privilege feel that Atheism++ is a safe and open space to interact, and for that reason I recommend that a belief or disbelief in god or gods be properly calibrated and nuanced to reflect the broad diversity of views which can exist in Atheism++.
Mind you, it doesn't need to be removed entirely from the Atheism++ movement, but making disbelief in god less central to the movement -- perhaps, a botique view within the community -- is certainly a positive step towards checking its privilege and making itself more open towards new ways of thinking.
"These aren't one-off claims but a constant stream of stories, experiences, and allegations,"
Is this about ACA?
No, apparently, you're not supposed to be skeptical about the rousing success of the ACA either.
Almost every feminist site has had a go at these people
They seem offended by the product's very existence. I'm wondering why. Gun control proponents don't hate bullet-proof vests.
just a sample, all of the feminists blogs are bitching about this.
I guess they hate it because it doesn't involve subjecting large groups of randomly selected men to mandatory Marxist indoctrination. If anyone else has a different interpretation, I'd like to hear it.
They hate it for the same reason as the other things they hate: it's a practical solution that came from ignoring their worldview.
Head to desk.
anti-violence work is a collective, not individualized, effort?
So is gang rape.
"If a predator realizes you're wearing magic anti-rape underwear, won't s/he just go find someone who isn't?"
People say this to their daughters all the time - "don't take steps to protect yourself from rape; the rapist will just rape someone else! Oh, and don't keep your valuable jewelry locked in a safe place, because then the robber will simply rob someone else!"
I don't really understand. If you can't get out of them, how do you use the bathroom?
That's the real anti-rape key to wearing them... a pound and a half of shit in your drawers.
There's a combination lock on it. The owner can remove them. I suspect that also might be a reason that they don't like them. It would make stuff like the Ohio State "rape" seem even more ridiculous.
Republicans Senators John McCain and Jeff Flake promised their constituents not to add gender identity or gender expression to federal civil-rights laws. McMain also seems to have promised not to add sexual orientation.
That was then. Now, both Senators voted for ENDA.

In the name of equality we must create more categories of victim
In the name of freedom we must create laws where the government can tell people who they can have economic relationships with
If John McSame ever becomes president, I will leave the US and never return!

The only good thing about the Obama administration is that it's not the McCain administration.
A positive story from Saginaw, Michigan? Did Satan have to break out the mittens or something? Even more amazing, cops see a dog and don't shoot it.
Cops save dog's life after being hit by a vehicle.
