Longtime GOP Rep. Howard Coble is expected to announce today that he will retire, according to several Republican sources.

Coble, 82, has a press conference scheduled for later today in Greesnboro, N.C., to announce his future plans.

Coble will be the third House Republican to decide recently that he will retire, joining Reps. Jon Runyan (Pa.) and Tim Griffin (Ark.).
