Peter Suderman on To the Point With Warren Olney
Yesterday afternoon I was a guest on KCRW's great public affairs discussion show, To the Point, which is hosted by Warren Olney.
We talked about the troubled rollout of Obamacare's health exchanges, and in particular about the problems with the federally facilitated exchange system operating in 36 states. The segment also includes comments from guests Juliet Eilperin of The Washington Post, app developer Jyoti Bansal, Towers Watson Managing Director Bryce Williams, and Kentucky Health and Family Services Secretary Tayse Haynes.
You can listen to the complete program here.

The ObamaCare technology FAIL discussion was interesting, but the thing about ObamaCare that amazes me is the 750,000% marginal income tax rate.
That's not a typo: Seven-hundred fifty thousand percent (750,000%) marginal income tax rate.
Check it out. Go to the Kaiser Family Foundation calculator yourself.
It's already filled in with an income of $62040. Add one dollar of income to make it $62041 and see what happens to the tax credit.
$62040 is just under 400% of poverty line. The obscene marginal tax rate creates huge incentives to keep income below that hurdle. Who wants to lose money as "reward" for working overtime, or extra effort, or taking risk?
ObamaCare is an dream come true for an egalitarian elitist. It creates a huge hurdle that roughly equalizes the hoi polloi without interfering with the prospects of the elite. Brilliant social engineering, and not one in a thousand will recognize it for what it is!
For some reason, the link doesn't return the entire form.
The 750,000% marginal rate is based on the following settings:
1. Texas ZIP 77706
2. 2014 Dollars
3. $62040
4. No (employer coverage)
5. 2 (people in family)
6. 2 Adults (enrolling)
Age 58 No tobacco
Age 60 No tobacco
7. No children
