Jindal Urges Other GOP Governors To Take The Republican Party's Message From DC

Republican Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal said this morning that Republican governors should take back the GOP's messaging from Washington D.C., adding that conservative ideas are being implemented at the state level.

From Politico:

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal said Tuesday it's time for Republican governors to take back the party's messaging from Washington, saying the states are where the real action is.

The Republican Governors Association chairman said on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" that's the goal of the group's new project, the American Comeback Initiative.

  1. The shutdown horror stories are kind of slowly fizzling out. The “government is handling the shutdown like a bitter shrew” stories are still coming regularly, though. Messaging failure?

    1. Sir, you are recreating.

“Some of the Asians who were on the tour said, ‘Oh my God, are we under arrest?’…..ellowstone
You know who else liked to detain Asians?

      1. Warty?

      2. The bus stopped along a road when a large herd of bison passed nearby, and seniors filed out to take photos. Almost immediately, an armed ranger came by and ordered them to get back in, saying they couldn’t “recreate.” The tour guide, who had paid a $300 fee the day before to bring the group into the park, argued that the seniors weren’t “recreating,” just taking photos.

“She responded and said, ‘Sir, you are recreating,’ and her tone became very aggressive,” Vaillancourt said.

Oh come on! That sounds like it’s from a damned comedy skit.

        1. That sounds like it’s from a damned comedy skit.

I could definitely see John Cleese as the park ranger with Graham Chapman as the tour bus guide. Eric Idle in drag as an old lady getting out to take pictures, etc.. It’s Monty Python’s world, we’re just living in it…

  2. the party has no message in Washington beyond believing that giving slightly less free shit than Dems equals limited govt, and insisting that cutting even a nickel of defense spending means becoming ground zero for that caliphate we hear so much about.

    1. Things are changing though. Expect more nasty debt ceiling and Obamacare fights.

Get behind Republicans who are willing to fight for the financial future of the country.

      1. But…but… Ron Paul’s non-speech at their convention, Team Red is as bad as Team Blue, no more lesser of two evils, PRIIINCIPAAALZ….

        1. Dude. Most of team red is as bad as team blue. Most of team red is exemplified by John McCain and Peter King.

  3. The Republicans have some smart people in their ranks. What Democrat politicians are smarter than Cruz, Jindal, and Paul?

  4. Georgia Democrats need to take the same advice. They seem to want to let the DNC and the SDCC anoint Michelle Nunn as the 2014 Senate nominee, despite there being four other candidates in the primary.
