Conservatives Propose Anti-Gay Marriage Initiative in New Jersey
Following judge's ruling ordering recognition
TRENTON, N.J. (CBS) — Opponents of gay marriage in New Jersey are banding together in hopes of reviving an idea to put the question to voters in the form of a constitutional amendment.
Several conservative groups are now coming under the banner of the "New Jersey Coalition to Preserve and Protect Marriage."
Donald Sico, who represents the New Jersey Catholic Conference (top photo), says the new group wants to get away from the usual finger-pointing rhetoric.
