30 Greenpeace Activists Put in Pretrial Detention in Russia After Oil Rig Protest

Investigators have opened a piracy case

MOSCOW, Sept. 25 (UPI) — Thirty Greenpeace environmental activists were placed in pretrial detention in Moscow overnight after investigators opened a piracy case, officials said.

The Investigative Committee said in a statement investigators questioned at least three Russian activists.
