Obama Donor Made $1 Billion in Tax Credits Thanks to Solyndra Bankruptcy
Solar panel company was given hundreds of millions of dollars before going broke
Most people who follow the news are aware that President Obama invested $527 million in Solyndra, the now-bankrupt California-based solar panel manufacturing company.
What is much less well-known is that the federal government was legally required to cut its losses of tax dollars just months into the project, and that only an illegal loan modification made to benefit an Obama fundraiser led to taxpayers losing more than $500 million.

Well he's on the right team so I'm sure he'll use the profits for good. Not like those greedy rethuglicans who would just line their pockets!
What amazes me is not that this kind of crap happens, but that every time it hits a new low, I am amazed, stupified, jaw dropping in wonder, for at least a few seconds.
And Tony wonders how people can cooperate without government coercion. The real question is, do we really want cooperation like this owing to government coercion?
