Obama Tells Congress to Avoid Budget Crisis

Hasn't done much to avoid one himself

Highlighting the progress made by the U.S. economy in the years since thefinancial crisis, President Barack Obama urged Congress on Monday to take steps to avoid the looming budget crisis and prevent all the hard work from being undone.

Speaking at the White House on the fifth anniversary of the collapse of Lehman Brothers, Obama specifically called on Republicans to stop threatening to bring about economic chaos over their opposition to the healthcare reform law.
