Poll: 62 Percent Say the Health Care Law Implementation is Not Going Well, 60 Percent Want to Delay the Individual Mandate
According to the latest Reason-Rupe poll, 62 percent of Americans say the implementation of President Obama's signature health care law is not going well, in fact 41 percent say it's not going well at all. Thirty-four percent say implementation of the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, is going well.
In addition, 60 percent of Americans favor delaying implementation of the individual mandate, which is unsurprising given the unpopularity of that provision.
While majorities of Democrats (53%), Republicans (68%), and Independents (61%) favor delaying the individual mandate, partisanship colors perceptions of the law's implementation. For instance, 57 percent of Democrats say implementation of the ACA is going well, while 90% of Republicans disagree saying it is not going well. Among Independents, 65 percent do not think the law is going well.

To be sure, I don't want to delay the mandate. I want to kill it and the rest of the law.
But the longer it is delayed, the easier it will be to kill. Stick a full on delay on the CR. Let Democrats go on record demanding this thing take effect right now or vote to delay it another year.
Sure, I'm fine with harassing the law with pointy sticks until the flamethrower is ready. I just meant I'd have trouble answering a poll question that asked me whether I'm in favor of delaying the mandate. I guess the answer would be, "Yes, but. . . ."
I want it to die. But since it can't die, lets at least make its authors and various Congress critters who support it suffer.
The other thing is since BO has already delayed the employer mandate, make Democrats explain why business get except but individuals have to pay now.
Because employers give big contributions, and these serfs don't?
Mandates delayed are mandates denied.
Die on this hill, DemOp totalitarians. Charge into the guns. Up the middle, boys!
It is great. Democrats can either delay the mandate or go on record telling their constituents the mandate happens now. They will squeal like stuck pigs.
And let the Dems take it in the shorts in the 2014 midterms, and see how much apatite there is to save a lame duck President's signature achievement that has already cost them control of the House for three straight elections and maybe the Senate or at the very least any hope of getting a 60 vote majority that they were so close to in 09.
Mandates delayed are mandates denied.

Oh, my boner has a first name, its E M I L Y,
my boner has a 2nd name, its E K I N S.....
POLLZILLA
I'm assuming you are the one responsible for some of the results that appear in google auto-complete when you type in her name...
Doesn't google auto-complete every female name with "nude" "sex tape", "married" "topless" and or "upskirt"?
It is the internet. The internet is all about pron, kitties and anonymously slandering people.
Hmm, typing in Emily Ekins gets me 'cato', 'reason', 'UCLA', and...'Mormon'?
Mormon? You mean Emily could be into being a sister wife? Hmm.
I get those now, but I got something very different during Pollapalooza.
This is why we can't have nice things.
I just love the way she says her name. "Eeekins!" She could say that all day.
Don't scare her off like you did to Lucy.
Type in Lucy Steigerwald and you get 'fired'. 🙁
I suspect there would a lot fewer complaints about the multiple poll related posts if they were all accompanied by pics of her instead of pie charts.
OT: Voyager leaves solar system for the eight time. I think the Cleveland Browns carried it out there.

Maybe it's flying in a circle.
And, for the record, there's plenty of mass orbiting the sun way past where it is now, so the whole story is nonsense, anyway. It's in the process of leaving the heliosphere.
I think it has finally left the heliosphere, which is a big deal.
They keep reporting that as news. Been hearing it for years, actually.
It will not have escaped the influence of the Sun's gravity until it passes the boundary of the Oort cloud, which is roughly one light year from Earth.
So in other words, get back to me in a about 14,000 to 18,000 years.
L for Lame.
V for VGER!
Oort! Oort!
Maybe it's flying in a circle.
Duh, an ellipse.
I don't think extraterrestrials would have a positive view of mankind if we keep transmitting them the worst series in Star Trke.
Well, maybe some alien probe will merge with VOY and make an amazing new Star Trek series. What would it be called? V'GER? Mirror Universe Enterprise? Firefly?
Bald Indian Women from Beyond the Solar System or Maybe from Just Beyond the Heliosphere?
this time for sure!
How many want to delay community rating, guaranteed issue, and no exclusions as well? Because as bad as the law is, delaying the mandates while leaving those in place makes it even worse.
If that happens its not just conservative nuts pushing repeal. It's the insurance industry and provides too.
TEAM Blue battle plan:
1. Delay mandates until TEAM Red takes the White House.
2. Demand mandates be implemented without delay.
3. Mandates fail spectacularly.
4. TEAM Blue blames TEAM Red for not properly implementing God-Emperor Barry's gift to the masses.
5. Profit.
Interesting. As the newly-elected President (lacking majorities to repeal), I might just make a big deal of keeping Sebelius (or her successor) around to finish up the implementation, then flog her publicly like a rented mule to meet every statutory deadline.
Then, when it fails, you can say "Hey, I kept the Dem A-Team onside to make this happen. Passed by Dems, implemented by Dems, I dunno, who should we blame?"
We've got three years to watch the slow sweaty trainwreck that is PelosiCare.
TEAM EVIL isn't walking away unscathed from this one!
5. Push for single payer
^^ THIS.
And that's because that's always been the plan...
Who cares about the polls? The majority of Americans did not want this law to pass, and a growing majority have disliked it ever since it was passed. Obama couldn't care less about popular opinion then and will not care about it now.
