George Zimmerman's wife has called police to her father's house, saying the former neighborhood watch volunteer who was acquitted of murder threatened her with a gun.

Lake Mary Police Chief Steve Bracknell says Shellie Zimmerman called police shortly after 2 p.m. Monday.

Bracknell says Zimmerman hasn't been arrested and officers are at the house trying to determine what happened.

  1. What an idiot.

    1. It’s pretty much open season on Zimmerman. He’d be an idiot not to be armed. I’ll reserve judgment on this incident until more info comes out.

      1. I see what you’re saying but if he’s concerned about vigilantism the least he could do is leave Florida and try and go incognito elsewhere.

      2. Yes, he needs to be armed now. But allegedly Zimmerman first threatened his soon to be ex wife with a knife, and then her and her father with a gun.

And if he did indeed do that, then he really is an idiot.

  2. He shoulda just killed them..hell it worked the last time

  3. i am not making excuses for GZ here; but there’s no excuses for crass remarks, simply because you can stay thoroughly anonymous. Try for a minute, if you can hold back that long, to put yourself in his shoes. Try to imagine the pressure he’s been under. And no, i don’t necessarily think he was guilty, just because he was found to be so in the media and other noise-makers. I seem to recall an “innocent until proven otherwise” mention somewhere. But you’re the smartest people in the room; maybe you could figure it out for me.
