Microsoft May Announce November 8 Release Date for XBox One
Trying to pre-empt the PS4's release
Microsoft may soon announce that the Xbox One will beat the PlayStation 4 out the door.
The company has yet to announce when the Xbox One will be available, but Microsoft may decide to launch the high-powered console on Nov. 8, gaming site Kotaku reported on Monday, citing a person who has knowledge of Microsoft's plans.

Yes, but it will cost an extra $100 and the hardware is a tad weaker. MS better come through with the Kinect and really show some compelling use for it or they are going to have a rough time of it this generation.
