Wikileaks Party Suffers Organizational Problems, Defections in Australia

Julian Assange says group suffers "teething problems"

Julian Assange has described the controversy within the WikiLeaks Party as "teething problems" following a slew of resignations, including a Senate candidate.

Leslie Cannold was second on the party's Senate ticket in Victoria but quit yesterday over what she said was a lack of transparency and accountability in the party.

The author and ethicist would have been installed if Mr Assange won his Senate bid but could not take up the seat.
