Louisiana Deputy Fired Over Drugs
He had an advantage over the competition
A deputy with the Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff's Office was arrested on drug-related counts Wednesday evening, Sheriff Bud Torres said Thursday.
Joseph Reed Bueche, 51, 6181 Fausse Bayou Road, Ventress, was fired following his arrest, the sheriff said.
"There is nothing worse than a cop that goes bad and violates the trust of the community," Torres said.
Torres said three people filed complaints stating that Bueche, a 10-year veteran of the Sheriff's Office, was involved in drug activity. The complaints prompted the Sheriff's Office to open an investigation into the matter, Torres said.
