  1. Hey! Look! Over there! Yeah, up there!

    The sky. It’s…blue!

  2. This is supposed to be a surprise? That continent south of the US is populated with nothing but big government culture.

From Daniel Ortega to Evo Morales and Abimael Guzm?n, to especially the rotting carcasses of the Perons and Hugo Chavez, South and Central America is nothing but one big Che Guevara tee-shirt.

  3. More important is Mexico, the largest source of immigrants, where the highly corrupt socialist party PRI dominates. It held the presidency for 70 years, until 2000, but retook the legislature in 2009 and the presidency in 2012.

You would think immigrants from these countries might see a causal relationship between the political system and the conditions in their own countries which they fled. It seems most Cubans escaping the Castro regime understood this, but not others from Latin America.

  4. And this is why Democrats support open borders and Republicans don’t.

Could you imagine if Hispanics supported Republicans? The Democrats would have built a fence immediately, and would have accused the Republicans of using illegals to bust up unions or trying to end minimum wage. And the subject of race would probably would have never came up during the debate.
