Increasing Number of Democrats Opposing Obamacare's 'Death Panel'
Believe it will harm people on Medicare
ObamaCare's cost-cutting board — memorably called a "death panel" by Sarah Palin — is facing growing opposition from Democrats who say it will harm people on Medicare.
Former Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean drew attention to the board designed to limit Medicare cost growth when he called for its repeal in an op-ed late last month.

They wanted to do away with rationing by supply and demand and now they want to do away with rationing by fiat. They are going to get rationing by wait time.
It’s not a death panel!!
Death panels are a fiction created by paranoid RETHUGLIKKKANS!!
It is merely a review board assigned with determining whether it is cost-effective to cover a specific procedure, or to just not tell the patient that the procedure exists and then let them die.
It is to cut the WASTE out of Medicare, you fool.
Where “waste” is defined as spending money on a procedure that is not actuarially beneficial.
In the US, if the procedure has a 5% chance of working, but the cost is prohibitive, the doctor tells you that a procedure is available but not covered by your insurance, and then you weigh your options.
In the EU, if the procedure has a 5% chance of working, but the cost is greater than 5% of the actuarial value of your life, given your age, the doctor tells you “There is nothing I can do”, and you die, never knowing there was an alternative.
GOP says “Cost cutting!”. We can’t have that!
