City Employee Gets Probation For Breaking Into Hoboken Mayor's E-Mail Account
New Jersey
A former Hoboken municipal employee will not have to serve a jail term for illegally breaking into Mayor Dawn Zimmer's email account.
Patrick Ricciardi was instead ordered Friday to serve five years of probation.
Ricciardi had pleaded guilty in March to accessing a computer without authorization, intercepting wire and electronic communications, and disclosing the intercepted communications. The Hoboken resident had faced up to 15 years in prison.
