Pelosi to Weiner: 'Get a Clue'
Stops short of telling him to quit race
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., thinks disgraced former Rep. Anthony Weiner should "get a clue."
Though she refrained from telling him to leave the campaign, Pelosi admonished Weiner, still pursuing a bid for New York mayor, following revelations of yet another wave of lewd text messages and photos. Roping in San Diego Mayor Bob Filner - who has been accused of sexual harrassment - Pelsoi instructed the two men to seek therapy "in private."
In 2011, then-Rep. Weiner accidentally posted a photo of his crotch publicly on Twitter. After initially claiming he'd been hacked, the New York Democrat admitted to having "inappropriate" online relationships with several women and resigned. On Tuesday, an unidentified woman disclosed explicit online messages she said Weiner sent her in the months after his resignation.
"The conduct of some of these people that we're talking about here is reprehensible," Pelosi said. "It is so disrespectful of women, and what's really stunning about it is they don't even realize it. They don't have a clue."
