Internal Investigation Launched After Florida Cop Shoots Man in the Head With Taser
Photos of the incident sparked outrage on social media
Sanford police said Thursday that they have launched an internal investigation into the tasing of a 57-year-old man who fell headfirst to the ground and had to be hospitalized.
Bloody photos of the man, identified as Samuel Fuller, were posted on social media and have sparked outrage in Sanford. Orlando attorney Shayan Modarres is now representing Fuller.
Modarres could not be reached late Thursday but posted this comment on Twitter: "I've been retained to represent Samuel Fuller, the man who was brutalized by Sanford PD this week. THIS MUST STOP."
Officers on patrol about 4:10 p.m. Sunday saw three men gambling on 15th Street, a police report states.
