Angry Bird Lindsey Graham Wants to Boycott the 2014 Russian Olympics if Snowden's Still There

"I would. I would just send the Russians the most unequivocal signal I could send them," the awful South Carolina Republican tells The Hill.

How bad is this idea? Even Sen. Graham's partner in saber-rattling, Sen. John McCain (R-Arizona), isn't buying it:

"There's many things we can do, but I think the experience of cancelling the Olympics the last time around wasn't very good," McCain said.

There’s many things we can do

Have they considered just not spying on everyone in the first place?

    1. RBS   12 years ago

      HAhahahaha

  2. Inigo M.   12 years ago

Well, I am considering boycotting visits to Wash. DC as long as Graham and other such idiotic pols who think spying on everyone is somehow defensible are there.

  3. Paul41   12 years ago

Obviously Gram is a traitor to the USA since without the US at the Olympics then Russia has a chance to win the most medals and you know what that means. Yes, we will all be drinking vodka and eating borsht

    1. Killazontherun   12 years ago

Graham is a commie motherfucker and I am ashamed of Lesser Carolina for electing him.

  5. Spiny Norman   12 years ago

Time for some more Rocky movies.

  6. AlmightyJB   12 years ago

The actual games may be a sideshow in Rio.

  7. Andrew S.   12 years ago

If the South Carolina GOP does not primary this idiot next year I’m donating money to the democrat. I really don’t care. Anybody in South Carolina would be better than Graham. Anybody. Just pick somebody randomly.

  8. Heroic Mulatto   12 years ago

I can’t wait until Graham dies from AIDS-related Kaposi’s sarcoma.

Launch yourself at the Kremlin with a cannon. I’m certain that would get their attention.

    1. Andrew S.   12 years ago

People setting themselves on fire get lots of attention. Heck, somebody setting themselves on fire in Tunisia started the whole Arab Spring. Maybe Graham can do that on the steps of the Kremlin. I’ll donate the gasoline and lighter.

      1. Art Vandelay   12 years ago

I’ll gladly pay for his airfare.

        1. Sevo   12 years ago

          I’ll offer the matches!

  10. WC Varones   12 years ago

There goes our chance for a men’s synchronized swimming medal.

  11. PapayaSF   12 years ago

I guess it shouldn’t be a surprise that Republicans and conservatives can be just as stupid as Democrats and progressives in making everything about politics.

  12. Duke   12 years ago

Does anyone else think of Lyle the Effeminate Heterosexual when they hear Lindsey Graham? Or what about Cotton Hill when you see John McCain? I know I do.

    1. Lyle   12 years ago

Ha, I don’t even agree with Lindsey Graham. Boycott the Olympics? How stupid.

    2. Lyle   12 years ago

By the way, what’s wrong with a man being effeminate?

      1. Duke   12 years ago

Not a thing Lyle. It can lead to confusion and some laughs, though. http://www.nbc.com/saturday-ni…..al/n10237/

        1. Lyle   12 years ago

Not a thing really? Than why are you using it pejoratively with regards to me? Hmm?

          1. Calidissident   12 years ago

Did you click the link? He’s referring to an SNL sketch, not you

            1. Duke   12 years ago

I think Lyle might be funnin’ the both of us.

            2. Lyle   12 years ago

Oh… he was referring to the SNL skit with the initial comment. Oh yeah. You’re idiot Calidissident. What’s new?

  13. Archduke Trousersenthusiast   12 years ago

If I was an athlete I would boycott the olympics for being a leech on government monies

  14. Archduke Trousersenthusiast   12 years ago

    Speaking of boycott

  15. Tejicano   12 years ago

Seems even more bizarre when you remember that Carter boycotted the 1980 Moscow olympics because the Soviets had invaded Afghanistan… which is actually on their border (the old Soviet border, not the current Russian border)…

    1. Jon Lester   12 years ago

And in response to cross-border incursions, too, as well as Carter’s own program to provoke the invasion by arming the Mujahedin six months prior.

  16. WC Varones   12 years ago

Lindsey would just rather be in Afghanistan at that time:
