Today Marks Julian Assange's One Year Anniversary at Ecuador's Embassy in the UK

Wikileaks founder says he will stay even if charges against him in Sweden are dropped

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange is celebrating a bitter-sweet one year anniversary at the Ecuador embassy in London.

In an interview with Reuteurs, Assange said he would remain in the diplomatic building even if charges against him are dropped in Sweden. His lawyers say he could still face arrest and extradition to the US.

The forty-one year-old fled to the Ecuadorian embassy last June to avoid extradition to Sweden over allegations of sexual assault and rape. He fears Sweden will hand him over to the US. Britain has said it will arrest him if he leaves the building.
