Man Arrested for Barking at Police Dog
Charged with harassment
A Frederick, Md., man is charged with harassing a police dog during a traffic stop.
Frederick police officers made a traffic stop on a car leaving Windsor Gardens Apartments on West Patrick Street at about 11:15 p.m. Monday, according to charging documents filed in Frederick County District Court. Police had been watching the area, which they said is known for drug activity.
An officer brought his dog near the car to perform a scan of the vehicle when a passenger, identified as Lavander Rakheem Disney, 22, of the 6900 block of Rooks Court, started to get out, the documents state. Disney said he was scared, and the officer told him to either stay in the car or leave the area of the traffic stop.
